We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for neighbours to hear. Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest and bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise. Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall as well a world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just 5 or so minutes away. You can ATV right out of our gate onto unlimited logging roads and trails or hike the Trans Canada Trail 3 blocks from our gate. There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the picnic shelter. There is a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for protection due to a drop-off and undercut banks. ATV's are idle in - idle out. QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them and not leave them unattended. LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights. CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full and is available between 9 AM and 8 PM. WATER: We do have a non-potable water tap in the park. I'm not allowed to say that the water at the waterfall/creek is good water - so I won't. BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef jerky for sale (this cow was treated as a pet until her time & was dispatched on the farm to avoid stress). We occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens. Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them.

You can bring your own water toys and play on the lake all day. There is open space for camping but no running water. The property has a firepit and porta potty for campers use. You will likely see wildlife like eagles (nest nearby), deer, geese, ducks, birds and of course clear, starry night, skies. *This is a working farm so while often you will have the property to yourself and other campers the owners may be present, occasionally, to work on farm projects and property maintenance in the periphery. My boyfriend, Dave, and I reside in the farmhouse. My mother, Lauren, also makes her home here. We have discovered several exceptional camping spots on our 15-acre property. During the summer months, from July to September, our farm will be ablaze with seasonal fruit, including blackberries, cherries, apples, and salmonberries. Our expansive fields and wooded surroundings are also home to a diverse array of wildlife, such as bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, barn swallows, quail, and their offspring. Deer and occasional coyotes roam the property, but rest assured, they are apprehensive of us and pose no threat. We derive great pleasure from spending time outdoors, so you may frequently observe us engaged in fieldwork, construction, or simply relaxing in our stargazing hammock circle. We are always available to provide you with space or invite you to join us. We derive immense satisfaction from meeting new individuals and have numerous recommendations for Whidbey Island, including the delectable blueberry stand in Freeland and the Mutiny Bay Blues, a venue that we can either recommend or provide directions to. Watch the sunset into the world famous San Juan Islands. Our property is located on the scenic Chuckanut Drive. It is a 15 minute walk to Taylor United's Seafood Bar that has beer and wine. You will need boots just below the knee, or hiking shoes that will get wet. The Creek crossing is a little deeper this year. You will also be crossing a muddy area for about 20 yards, you will sink about 3 inches into the mud. The hike into the campsite takes 12 minutes. You need to contact me to check the tides, as to be able to get to the campsite. We need to hike in below a 5 foot tide. Starting October, the campsite closes for winter. Again , this campsite is Tide dependent. The first question to me should be, What is the latest we can hike in? I am not Moses, I can’t part the sea. Camp closed during winter October/ march

Weekend Trip to Whonnock Willow Farm and Campground

We had such an amazing weekend at Whonnock Willow Farm and Campground! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by incredible trees and scenery, but what really made the experience special were the hosts, Kathy and Craig. They were genuinely some of the warmest and most welcoming hosts we've ever had. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, while still giving us complete privacy and space to enjoy our weekend. Kathy's recommendations were fantastic, and Craig was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. He even noticed I had burned my hand and surprised me with a pair of fireproof welding gloves when we left. Such a thoughtful gesture that we'll never forget! Being able to rent a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard right on the property and walk through the forest to the lake was the perfect addition to the weekend. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back, whether it's just the two of us or with friends. Kathy and Craig, thank you for making our weekend so memorable. We highly recommend Whonnock Willow to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway with truly wonderful hosts!

Weekend Trip to North Wind House: Historic Cascadia

Dog was very happy with the space! Even met the resident sheep. Host is very thorough with his walk through. Sadly the aesthetically pleasing record wall had to be removed due to there being so great of a collection (so good guests were stealing them) but overall we enjoyed our spot that faced away from the rest of the property and made us feel suited while overlooking the sunset.

Amazing property and such kind hosts. It was a fantastic trip, got to meet the highland cows, sheep and goats. An amazing view right from the cabin, definitely would recommend others to go too.

Believe the ratings. We had a great 2 day stay. 20 some sunny acres right on Clear Lake. The host is great and really takes care of the property. Mount Vernon gives you easy access to North Cascades National Park and Whidbey Island. Will stay here again.

2 nights at An Experience!-Golden Ears Glamping

We really enjoyed our time at Golden Ears Glamping cabin suite, Greg was a great host who answered quickly any of our questions or needs, and he even spent the time teaching us how to fish and lent us his fishing rod. We love the property and the amenities available, the river behind the place is awesome, we swam, fished and even got to have a campfire! We got an up close and personal view of nature! We saw a black bear, and also a beaver swimming in a creek which was so cool! If you are someone who loves to be in nature, to have peace and relaxation this place would be good for you! We would like to come back, maybe we will try the tent next time!

1 night at West Beach Resort

West Beach Resort is amazing! So many things to do (kayaking, ping-pong, sunsets, bonfire, etc). And free hot showers - luxurious! The cafe serves excellent coffee (with oat milk if you want) and snacks. My only feedback is that the hot tub wasn't hot, and most of the campsites are close together without much shade or privacy. But I'm definitely coming back!

1 night at Fern Gully Camp

Awesome place to pitch a tent and get away! Site 5 is tucked away far enough that you feel like you are by yourself, but a quick path out gets you to showers and the honeypot! Loved it- couldn’t have been a better site to use for testing out our backpacking gear!
