Rainier National Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. There is also a fabulous movie theater. And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but not often and it has never run after dark or early morning. (It is a military train so pretty punctual). (Also, as we are only a 5 acre property, we are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. They are county roads though and not highly traveled for the most part.) **Trigger Warnings: We are near the military base of JBLM and so you will occasionally hear their military doings. Country neighbors occasionally do some target practice, so you may hear some shooting. This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! Our property is 56 acres of mixed biomes including multi-generational forests, open meadows, and creek side trails. We are located right off Chandler Road, off of Highway 6. You turn onto Labri road (white sign) and you're on the property after going through a gate. Meander down the road past a red barn and several buildings on your right. Through the second gate, the dispersed camping site offers various sites for camping attached to a main trail that parallels the Dunn creek down to the Chehalis river. They are conveniently accessible off the logging roads which cross with Labri road after you've passed through the second gate. If you take the logging road to the left (look for a blue and white ribbon) you will come up to a tree line where you can park (another blue and white ribbon) and either take the trail to the left or right where you will find ample places to camp. You may camp along the trail or closer to the creek. The most ideal spot is right after you park near the blue and white ribbon if you walk North you'll see a site marked with an orange and white ribbon. This site has easy access to the creek but is still on a hill. There are four RV spots with full onsite hook-up. Two of the RV sites are paved and lit with ground lights and are prioritized for heavier rigs. The other two sites are on grass. We have two RV sites with no hook up (boondocking) but bathroom and shower access. We do not allow dumping of grey water or sewage at our property but there is a dump station just 1 minute away at Rainbow Falls State Park. The site is located on a hill so you get very nice view of sunsets and sunrises. For those who enjoy bird watching the nearby fruit trees bring in many birds. We are an ideal location for those who love the outdoors or just want to have private family events. 6 mi from Jones Creek Brewing, 7 mi from Evey's Cafe & Pe Ell, 20 mi from I-5, 69 mi Westport Quiet hours are from 11pm - 8am.

1 night at Wildbrook, a Travelers Reprieve

Finally venturing out to the PNW for the first time ever, alongside my partner, was months in the making with large hopes riding on it, and Paul couldn’t have been a more perfect way to kick off the adventure. Especially for Twin Peaks cultists such as myself, his ranch is perfectly nestled within North Bend, but with the seclusion from town needed to feel like you’re truly out in the woods; and more importantly, Paul displayed nothing short of a welcoming, affable energy that every well-intended traveler deserves, but might not always get. It was easy to tell how he genuinely wanted to get to know us and introduce us around his ranch which (at the time of writing) largely tenders to old horses looking to ride out their days in bliss (sup Mr. Big!), shy donkeys, and the cutest pack of little goats imaginable. I mean it when I say his welcoming spirit is the stuff of a feel-good story. The campsite itself might be in its humble early days of the amazing vision Paul has for it, but I absolutely can’t recommend enough to anyone looking for a cozy, convenient spot in North Bend to catch a good nights sleep and play a part in the work of love that Paul’s got going on!

This was just amazing! So peaceful, not too far from town, and very nice! Nick helped out with everything and gave us plenty of firewood and Matthew was nice to let us stay 3 nights in a row. We will be back!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Traci and Khris's property. All the communications after we made the reservation were clear and directions and instructions simple. Traci was there to check us in and help get set up. The property is beautiful and quiet with horses and chickens nearby. We stayed there in our travel trailer while doing a kitchen remodel nearby but look forward to going back when we can relax under the beautiful trees around the firepit! Definitely recommend!!

This campsite is so perfect. It’s really beautiful and the hosts were so kind and helpful. They provided endless wood and water for us. Such a cute area, would definitely recommend!

It’s very private since we were the only campers that time we stayed there. I definitely would like to stay there in summertime . The caretakers did way beyond what. We expected . He gave us wood to burn and we did enjoyed our overnight there even it rained . The brook an added tranquil touch of my experience. Thank you and I hope to go back again soon.

Judy’s land was the perfect spot for an overnight stay on Vashon Island. We had our VW camper van and found a convenient place to park and spend the night. The facilities were great. There is a kitchen, showers, a large event room, but this time of year all was pretty quiet.

I especially enjoyed the “Ghost Buffalo” mural on the loft of the hangout barn. Judy is working hard to install accessible paths through the property’s forested trails, so if you care about inclusivity this is a golden opportunity to support her vision.

Weekend Trip to Hillside Vista RV / Creekside Camp

The level, paved rv site was great! We enjoyed walking the trails to the peaceful creek and around the property. The wifi is not strong but it is a great place to relax and unwind. David was kind and fun to talk with and shared some of his delicious apples with us. We plan on returning in the spring to see a much higher creek and for some more peace and quiet and amazing views of stars without any light pollution.

Beautiful place to stay while we explored Rainbow Falls state park. We had site 1 which is flat, paved and has full hookups. The grounds are surrounded by trees and two lush trails, just gorgeous, very well maintained. Peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay here again if in the area!

We had the fortune of having the place to ourselves, but even if we didn't I would go back again. We enjoyed the remote and quiet that David's space offered. Easy walk through the woods to the creek and river, and lots of space for our dog! Site was level and even had small lights on the ground that helped guide the back in since we showed up after dark.

David's property was absolutely beautiful! They had a camper bathroom available with a shower and laundry, so we were able to get some laundry done. The location was perfect. David's father, Dan, stopped by to welcome us and talk about his property some. He has a wonderful passion for plants and we really enjoyed talking with him!

This property was calm, clean and offered us privacy, nature, a place to cook, showers and a hot tub. The camping locations are spread out and we didn’t mind the quick stroll to reach the various amenities. It took us about little more than an hour to visit Mt. rainier and offered a view on the river as well. We hope to come again.

The grounds were very well maintained which made the stay even more enjoyable. It was our first time camping so we definitely overpacked but the site made everything easy and comfortable. I booked site 3 because it is a bit more secluded which was perfect for my reactive dog, luckily we were the only ones there. The guy who showed us around was super nice and chill and checked in often which I really appreciated. My dog was barking at him and I felt super bad about it but he was chill about it and i’m appreciated that. The overall vibe was peaceful and relaxing. There were plenty of animals roaming around which was pretty cool (a little creepy at night haha.) If you are looking for a quiet and well kept spot to camp I would definitely recommend this place.

What an amazing and memorable trip! John was so accommodating and welcoming. The site was very well maintained and you can tell John really takes time to make sure his guests feel comfortable. My 3 year old had a blast and our dog has been sleeping for 2 days because he is so tired from all the fun! It rained our last night but watching the thunderstorm was magical. Thanks again for your hospitality John!
