Owned the last 100 years by only two families. The Weber family was the last to own and operate the farm for over 60 years. House was built in 1917 and the barn was added in 1925. Legend has it Bing Crosby sang in the barn himself after a long summer bucking bales in Cheney.
We are close to Turnbull Wildlife Park and a few local fishing lakes: badger lake, williams lake, and amber lake. The town of Cheney is a great place to stock up and bicycle the fish lake trail.

The property, aptly named the Oasis years ago, is 34-acres of lawns, shade trees, ponds, and natural landscaping over 50 years in the making. The landscaping was started by Tom who still lives in the farmhouse. The Schierman family has owned this property for four generations. The Oasis is located in the rolling hills of the Palouse in eastern Washington State.
The newly created Yonder Hills Disc Golf Course is a full 18 and 9-basket short course with long and short pads for almost every basket. A mix of open lawn, wooded fairways, water hazards, and elevation changes await. Day, overnight or weekly reservations must be made to enjoy this private course.
The disc golf course is under construction with some layout changes and getting ready for paver tees instead of rubber. It's playable but it isn't perfect yet. We had to shift focus to the barn restoration grant to meet the June 2026 deadline, so fair warning, there is likely to be some construction ongoing.
This is a perfect basecamp to explore the Palouse countryside. Relax in the shade. Catch up on creativity. Cook around the fire. Disc golf anytime.
Guests may bring their own private fire pits. Firewood is provided for the community fire pit.
Yonder Hills can be reserved for larger group camps and private camping events. There is plenty of room for several vehicles and tailgate camping.
Please contact us to request a reservation for a reunion, wedding, private party, disc golf tournament, or concert.
There are no dedicated electrical hookups, sewage hookups, or potable water available at this time. Bottled or bulk water is available in in St. John five miles away. Electrical outlets can be used to charge small devices.
We are constantly upgrading the property, so look forward to better amenities as we grow.
St. John has a bar/restaurant, grocery store, hardware stores, gas station, 2 hotel rooms, library, coffee and gift shops as well as a very nice 9-hole traditional golf course. There are numerous small towns, unique lakes, rivers/creeks, backroads, viewpoints, and historic stops around the Palouse region as well as amazing photography year round. Come for the abundant stars, the fall colors and brisk air, to socialize with other travelers, or to find the peace of the Palouse country.

Jane was wonderful and the campsite is now a measuring stick for all other campsites. It was so clean, has a level tent deck, comes with 2 chairs, 2 hammocks, a picnic table and a bundle of firewood with starters. The property was enjoyable to explore and you have privacy from everyone, even your own camping mates if you need to use the site bathroom shelter instead of a short walk to the outdoor bathroom, sink, shower, and a sawdust toilet. There was a water spigot and hose at the campsite so you could easily protect the property by watering down the fire pit as well as use it for a potable water source. It really felt more like an Airbnb with all the amenities. I just wish it wasn't so far away, but is absolutely first on my list next time I am in or near Spokane. I was able to get to Whitworth University in under 30 minutes. Very convenient location to Spokane.

My daughter and I had a fantastic time camping here! The setup of the camp sites felt private and well taken care of. The donkeys at the rescue down the road and the swing were major highlights for my daughter, and we also had a great time exploring all the camp ground had to offer. It was so great, we changed our travel plans to stay here a second night on our return trip home. Jane was very kind and a lovely host. I'd highly recommend this place to groups of all sizes and ages.

A nice quiet setting with a beautiful view of the lake. Monika is a wonderful hostess. The weather was stormy while we were there, but we enjoyed relaxing and watching the many birds that call the area home. Sites are full hookup and well maintained. We always enjoy staying here.

I loved camping at Jane’s farm! It was peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. The first night I was here a deer got pretty close to my camp, got to see and hear some donkeys, as well as turkeys, and lots of owl activity. I love how Jane has themed the camp, there are fun things at every corner. Jane was polite and thorough about how to get to camp. Would definitely camp here again.
