This campground was developed in the 1950s by a husband and wife team and later passed to their children. My partner and I were lucky enough to purchase it in Oct 2020 and our goal is to bring it to its original beauty and charm with the most up to date amenities. Long Beach Peninsula has been a family vacation destination for a long time and there's so much fun to be had on every inch of land! Located centrally between Leadbetter Point and Cape Disappointment, we have 16 full hookup RV sites (30 amp power/water/septic/Wifi) close enough to enjoy the fun of Long Beach and Ocean Park, but far enough to retreat to your camp for quiet and relaxation. Hang out in the rec room or at a fire pit, play horseshoes or bocce ball with family, or take a short walk down our dune path to watch the sun set on the ocean.

Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R& as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep camp as a single site, largeer groups are given preference. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm, there is something of interest for everyone. In camp you will find a rustic kitchen, two 6' picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a resource area near the house with an electrical outlet and a Flexzilla water hose, so bring containers. We have really nice firewood bundles as well as fresh eggs for sale and lawn games, hammocks, etc., available for rent. While the campsite, play field, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild, so bring your tromping shoes. Birdsong comes early here, and the night is filled with the sounds of crickets. No city lights, so the stargazing is wonderful. The goats are gentle, curious, and deep body scratch lovers. The chickens and ducks are not hands-on but some, especially the ducks, will eat out of your hands. The local fauna include deer, skunk, coyote, rabbit, weasel, and possum--bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out and keep the lid on the compost. While there isn't water on the property, Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe lakes are all 20-30 minutes from here and provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing, summer concerts, and a playground, and is just a five-minute drive from camp. We are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect meet-in-the-middle location. Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all day trips, just an hour or two from here. We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. If you do book, we are certain you’ll enjoy making Pleasant Places your outdoor home-away-from-home. Hope to see you on the farm! PS Looking for a bit more comfort while camping? 43mi from Pe Ell · 1 site · RV
Professionally managed by RR Bed and Breakfast, on site. Highlights: -- Easy on/off from US 101 at SR 3 (Shelton) -- Single cottage and RV site = privacy -- Pet-friendly -- Stone firepit with half-moon seating -- Forested trail to Mill Creek -- Kayak/canoe to Lake Isabella (access is easier from the nearby WDFW boat launch) Details: 17 min to Hood Canal, 30 min to Lake Cushman, 50 min to the Staircase Entrance of Olympic Natl Park (33 miles). Perfect location for setting up camp with your RV, then taking your car up into the Olympics. Looking for dog-friendly hikes? Several Olympic Natl Forest and Skokomish Wilderness trails can be accessed from Lake Cushman, including Mt. Ellinor, Mt. Rose, and Mt. Washington. When returning, enjoy what the property has to offer. Of the 11 acres, 10 acres are comprised of wetlands and their buffers. A trail winds down to Mill Creek just 1/4 mile downstream from the outlet of Lake Isabella. Here the creek is wide and it is permissible to hand launch kayaks and canoes. The trail is 1/3 mile long and the shoreline is required to remain unimproved, but the reward is access to conservation shoreline rarely seen by man. The lake is 200+ acres and boasts Lake Isabella State Park and a DFW public boat launch for easier access. The wetlands are critical for maintaining water quality for the local shellfish industry; access is confined to the trail and creek access needs to be gentle. But if you pause for a moment along the shoreline you'll be rewarded as wildlife begin to stir from their hiding places. Song birds, rabbits, deer, voles -- yes. But also river otters, beavers, ducks, cormorants, and owls. Mountain lions and coyotes are possible, and salmon run Mill Creek. Between the cottage and RV site is a large propane fire pit with half-moon seating - perfect for roasting S'mores late into the evening or stargazing in a region remote from city lights. With just a single RV site and cottage, the nearest neighbor several acres away, and only State land between the property and Hwy 101, you can expect a private stay in a forested setting with easy freeway access to the Olympics on one side and an idyllic private creek side nature preserve on the other. We welcome you to the beauty of Washington's Olympic Peninsula.

This secluded meadow has sweeping views, including a stunning shot of Mount Rainier on clear days. Surrounded by forested land including a park preserve, the land is quiet and private. A great place to watch birds, access multiple park trails by foot, or just enjoy being outside in nature. There are old fruit trees on the land that give plentiful fruit (most years) starting in August, and depending on the time of year you'll also find blackberries, huckleberries and salal berries. Additional tent sites are tucked into the trees. Serving all is an outdoor/covered compost toilet tucked into the trees a couple minutes walk from the meadow. There is also a spigot with hose where you can rinse off gear etc. A public swimming hole on Lake Florence is a short drive way, along with beaches. Check back with us in the future as well, because we have big plans for additional amenities.

Eight years ago I bought this property, cleaned it up and changed an old local 1930s grocery store into my pottery studio. I continue to try to be a good steward to this little piece of land with very big trees. One side faces my studio with drive through access to a bunkhouse and hookups and the other is tent camping with room to explore. With a dog yard available you will be able to relax and enjoy. Learn more about this land: Part meadow part stand of very tall trees, over 70 years old with birds, hummingbirds, deer. Choose to camp there or in a wheelchair excessable drive next to a 1940 era grocery store that is now my pottery studio. A large bunkhouse is also on site in case of rain, if not rented. Large RVs will park in the front of the property. Tent camping is in the meadow with water and fire circle. /p>

Located only a 5 minute drive to Mayfield Lake in Lewis County, our property is a rustic retreat from the hustle and bustle. There are plenty of outdoor exploration opportunities in the area. We have 5 acres with a great camping spot with a fire pit nestled among large evergreen trees. The tress provide shade in the summer months. For bird lovers and botanists, we have left our land native with grass lands among the trees. We have local osprey, eagles, and falcons as well as doves, owls, cickadees, woodpeckers, robins, etc. We also have local deer that travel through the land, and mostly leave us humans alone.
