This time of year is magical with the dropping leafs and lush moss/fungus sightings. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick getaway from the city to connect to nature. Offering a lovely, personal campsite area surrounded by beautiful trees nestled in the back of a ranch with horses (and chickens) just on the outskirts of the small, charming town of Yelm. (In some of the pictures you will see the horses in the area of the camp, but whenever there are campers they will not be turned out there.) There is 20 amp electric (which can safely power a 30 amp rv unless you run too many things at once) and water (hose). There is a porta-potty and a shower shed with a tankless water heater for your convenience.
We also offer the option of a small bunk room in the barn. Heated and cooled (fan) with a small "kitchen" area, it has a pull out futon which sleeps 2 and requires you supply your own bedding and towels.
1 Hour to Mt. Rainier National Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. There is also a fabulous movie theater. And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino.
There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but not often and it has never run after dark or early morning. (It is a military train so pretty punctual).
(Also, as we are only a 5 acre property, we are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. They are county roads though and not highly traveled for the most part.)
**Trigger Warnings: We are near the military base of JBLM and so you will occasionally hear their military doings.
Country neighbors occasionally do some target practice, so you may hear some shooting.
As we are a horse property, we will also require that everyone sign a release of liability waiver and will require all adults to show legal ID upon arrival.

This is a winding, chip-sealed, mountain hillside - not ideal for longer length rigs. Most of the hillside is 6% grade, and the last few hundred yards up are at a 10%+ grade.
Sites #1 and #2 are best suited for RVs (max 30' length) and include 50 amp hookups, (bring your own converter if you have a 30amp vehicle) potable water, and full sewer hookups.
Site #3 is our tent camping site as it includes a step-down grassy flat terrace that can accommodate up to 4 tents comfortably, with 2 car max parking. Site 3 includes 30 amp + (2) 20 amp electric and potable water hookups.
All sites have access to the onsite unisex restroom and access to the communal yard game play area.

We had an amazing time camping at site #3. The area was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. It’s only about a 15-minute walk to the water, where you can collect shells, oysters, etc.
Jim was a fantastic host. He provided us with firewood and even stopped by to check on us and see if we needed more. On top of that, there were fresh oysters for sale during our stay. I think we ended up eating around five dozen or so over the course of our stay there.
We would absolutely come back!

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Jim's Hood Canal Oyster Farm. We originally booked site #2 but Jim contacted us prior to our arrival and invited us to stay at site #1 which became available. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. All three sites are very well kept, peaceful, and private. The hookups worked perfectly, and our 21' class C RV had no issues with the short steep climb to the site. Site #1 is the largest and we loved the herb garden and table. I did notice that site #3 is more private and would have fit our RV with no issues. We hope to be back soon. We can't thank Jim enough for the absolutely delicious oysters from his farm.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Traci and Khris's property. All the communications after we made the reservation were clear and directions and instructions simple. Traci was there to check us in and help get set up. The property is beautiful and quiet with horses and chickens nearby. We stayed there in our travel trailer while doing a kitchen remodel nearby but look forward to going back when we can relax under the beautiful trees around the firepit! Definitely recommend!!

This was our second time at this campsite in Lilliwaup! The location is great, it was quiet, the campsite & porta-potty were clean, and Jim was a great host. Since it was a wet weekend, he brought dry kindling to our site and made sure we were all set for the evening. We'll be back again!

Site #3 was perfect for our first time camping using our sleeping platform in the back of our Forester with a Kelty caboose. There was plenty of space! There was a big wooden spool we could use as a table. Although we didn’t tent camp in the additional open clearing, we did sit there to enjoy our coffee the next morning. It was very quiet except for the chipping of birds and sound of a nearby stream. The porta potty was very clean! Jim was very responsive. We will definitely be back.

We loved our time on Amber’s land! Fishing off the dock, canoeing on the lake, and listening to the relaxing wild life. What more could you ask for? There was some (very) occasional road noise but nothing to worry about. The picnic table, (very clean) porta potty, and trash can were extremely appreciated amenities. We will definitely be back again!

We had a blast!! We feel very grateful and privileged to experience such a wonderful campsite. There was more than we can ask for - beautiful lake, dock, kanoya, wc, chairs, water pipe, little cute lights, two tables! Aaaand a beautiful fire pit that we didn’t even use it cause it wasn’t allowed because of the hot weather, but we are definitely coming back to experience it all! There are many other lovely details that I haven’t even mentioned. You can definitely feel how much time, effort and literally love was put into this campsite by the owners! Thank you for sharing <3

We enjoyed our two nights at Jim’s camp spot. We stayed at Site 1 which has a pick of table with an umbrella, and a little herb garden they use to leave small bouquets of herbs and flowers at each camp
Site. There were also herbs in the outhouse for a fresh scent, lovely touch. The spot was large and the campground is surrounded by large trees. This would be a great place for a group camp event.

Jerretts land was amazing! He was a great host & made sure to orient us to the campsite. There was a fire pit, wood fired hot tub, a few trails, and good space to spread out. We were told there were three other groups but we never really encountered them. It was perfect for our group of four and pup.
