A quiet and perfect spot!

This is a perfect spot for serving as a jumping-off point to Lakes Cushman and Kokanee. Getting there was a snap, and the instructions were very helpful. The site has more than ample space; our 33' travel trailer fit easily on the pad with room to spare. (You just have to be careful of the first pine tree as you back in)
Cell phone quality (T-Mobile) was poor, and there was wi-fi. The only drawback was the wi-fi signal would periodically cut out, but most of the time was just fine. The best part of the place was the natural surroundings and SUPER quiet setting! (a huge plus in our book). Yes, you are amongst neighboring rural houses, but they are nice places, spread out, and very quiet. We had no issues with the hookups; everything worked great; we would happily rent again! (oh, and the deer are everywhere!)

Beautiful spot and extremely welcoming hosts! Jim responded quickly to our questions about the property and Carrie welcomed us as we were setting up and gave us the low down about Lake Cushman, Hoodsport and the surrounding area. The RV hookups worked well and in great shape. Would definitely come back.

The campsite was in a great location to get to the area lakes. It was clean and quiet with plenty of space for our tow vehicle and trailer. The gazebo with a fire ring was a lovely addition. Everything was ready for us to have an enjoyable stay.

This was our second year visiting Jim's lot because it is a perfect setup. Easy to get in and out, great gazebo level site. Super quiet. Full hookup and super clean. 5 minutes yo the golf course and 10 minutes to town.

This spot is beautiful in a quiet neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly but not intrusive. There are lakes with swimming close. Although we didn’t have kids, the lakes include playgrounds for kids if they get tired of playing in the water. There are also hikes nearby, there was a fire when we visited so we weren’t able to do the hikes but found plenty to do. It’s quiet, quiet quiet if that’s important to you.

Very peaceful and beautiful spot with luxury amenities, the neighbors were so nice and helpful (heads up there’s space was a bear to back into with my 33ft TT but in a newb and solo, luckily he had his neighbors help and save the day! Beautiful area and hikes, would return!

Very nice spot! We loved the neighborhood and our dogs enjoyed the walks there. We especially loved the covered patio spot. We have ATT and there is not cell service there but we just went into Hoodsport and saved the directions to each trail we were doing on our phones. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful neighborhood, so quiet and peaceful. We needed to recharge and this was the perfect place. We hiked to lake kokanee and our dogs loved the lake. Definitely would recommend this camp.

Great rv lot. Walking distance from the golf course, super quiet and paved roads. Power, water and sewer all perfect along with a gazebo and seating. We are defiantly coming back next year if it's available.
The only improvement I would recommend is installing a cable hookup for internet access. I would have happily paid a little more. T Mobile and Verizon cell reception for a mobile hot spot is virtually non existant. Satellite reception for Starlink or Direct tv and Dish is blocked by the trees.

Had a great weekend at Lake Cushman! Thank you Jim for sharing this great spot with us. We really enjoyed the community and its proximity to some great hikes and Lake Cushman. It was a quick trip into Hoodsport for the famous ice cream stop and the Potlatch Brewery. This spot is very large and has a great gazebo that came in handy as we had a huge storm blow through last night. Jim was available upon arrival to help back you in if you need it. Very clean site and it had everything you could possibly need.

We had a great family trip and enjoyed Jim's property. This was our first time to the Cushman area and first time using hipcamp. While we were here we did the Staircase Rapids trail and kayaked on Lake Kokanee which we had to ourselves, it was so beautifuland quiet! It was about a 30 minute drive to Alderbrook resort for an upscale seafood dinner. We also enjoyed riding our bikes around the community from the campsite. This site was really close the golf course, walkable if you wanted, we had to drive to access the lakes. Beautiful area and would highly recommend if you haven't been to this area before.

Jim and Belinda have a wonderful site. They are kind and friendly. Plus, great with directions and communication. Their site is close to some awesome hikes and both the lakes are amazing. The little town of Hoodsport has restaurant's, ice cream shop, coffee shop. A nice little grocery store and Ace Hardware. Great camp site and location to relax, play and not be too far from civilization if you need something. Thank you Jim and Belinda for sharing your terrific place.

We had the best time at the Lake Cushman lot! It was spacious, shaded, and quiet. The site was clean and all the amenities made this a perfect home base for us to explore the local area and the National park. Jim and Carrie were very friendly, responsive, and communicative. We even met some very nice neighbors! A lot of core memories to take home with us. This was, by far, our best experience with a Hipcamp and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. No one wanted to leave!

As described. Great paddling ! Lovely spot in quiet , wooded residential area. Great collection communication w host; greatly appreciated the pass and maps. We hiked around Staircase in Olympic NP and paddled. We LOVED kayaking but in lake Kokanee and lake Cushman. Ate oysters at Hama Hama. We appreciated all the local info from hosts. We are not too far away and looking forward to return! :)

We had a great trip! Jim was a fast communicator when booking the site or having any questions about our reservation. Upon arrival we were greeted by Carrie who was very friendly, and helpful. During our stay we were greeted by a few deer. No fires allowed during our stay due to burn bans but we were able to enjoy our propane fire pit. Great neighborhood for bike rides with the kids. We will be headed back!

The site was large and very nice. When we arrived we were met by Carrie, who provided us with a Guest Pass to the various parks on Lake Cushman and advice about the local attractions. We had a wonderfully relaxing few days and plan to return later this summer. Highly recommend.
