We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has a microbrewery, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, a plant store, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants.

We can't wait for you to experience this tiny house in the woods. Check back weekly to see our progress photos! We call this a treehouse but it's technically supported by posts (nicer to the trees). There is a fullsize high end queen memory foam bed on the upper floor. Yes, this is a 2 story treehouse! On the second floor there is also a children's sleeping loft which overlooks the rest of the bedroom. This loft is suitable for a small child or 2 but headroom is only a few feet. We found it also requires some youthfull agility to get up there. A beautiful knotty alder slidding barn door leads from the bedroom to a private bathroom with pedestal sink and odorless composting toilet. There is a small kitchen with a coffee maker, mini fridge, induction cooktop, mini crockpot, and enough dishes and glasses to enjoy a simple meal or drink. Water pressure in the kitchen and throughout is good! There is a soaking tub on the main floor near the fireplace and TV with free Netflix. This luxury tub is sure to be a favorite amongst guests. I designed a non traditional floor plan knowing that this would be used primarily as a couples retreat. You can literally be soaking in the tub and watching TV by the fire while your significant other is preparing a meal in the kitchen all in the same space. We find the layout very romantic and unlike anything else out there. There is also a large hot tub avalible for our guests near the main house. You are welcome to use this hot tub anytime if you don't mind it being by the main home. Free Wifi. No cable TV but we supply Netflix on the hi-speed guest network. Guests will have free parking in our large circular driveway suitable for cars, trucks, or even RVs under 31ft.

The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin. The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. An outdoor kitchen on the edge of the woods allows a roomier “camp cooking” experience with Colman stove & cold running water (season permitting). We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town! The Purple Cottage offers a rustic retreat in a place that feels far away, but is an hour & a half from the bustling city of Seattle!

The separate, but luxurious, bath house has a full sized shower, sink, and fully plumbed flushing toilet. There is even a small stacked washer and dryer available. Laundry soap available for purchase. Name brand (no dollar store stuff here) shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. A cozy heater keeps the tiny house warm on cool days, but there is no air conditioning. The shady woods stay nice and cool, and there are lots of screened windows to let in the breeze. The sleeping loft also has two screened windows and a fan if the nights are warm. The kitchen has a gas 2 burner stove, a mini fridge, toaster oven, hot water kettle, french press coffee maker, dishes, utensils, pots/pans, and other basics. The bed has 100% cotton sheets, pillow cases, and blanket. As well as a comfy coverlet. A feather alternative duvet is available for colder nights. There is only one bed and it is not recommended for small children to sleep in the loft as there is no safety rail or gate up there. If a child is present it is recommended (almost required) that they sleep on the couch in the lower living space.

My stay at Alison’s was serene, peaceful, and exactly what I needed. I was looking for a place to decompress, find inspiration, and get some work done, and this exceeded my expectations. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the smell of freshly cut grass, hay, and the farm. Two adorable miniature donkeys welcomed me, and I quickly found myself captivated by the beautiful horses grazing nearby. The setting felt calming and restorative from the moment I arrived. The barn room was unique, private, and full of character. It was the perfect place to work and create. Sitting at the desk while watching horses graze just outside was such a special experience. The showers were wonderful, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I was a little concerned it might get chilly at night since part of one wall is screened to the outdoors, but the comforter was so thick and cozy that I slept soundly. It was also surprisingly quiet at night. The only thing to note is that there is no sink in the room, though it wasn’t an issue for me as I simply washed my hands in the shower. There is also an outhouse around the corner. As someone who is a bit of a germaphobe, I would have preferred an indoor bathroom, but that was really my only minor drawback. Overall, I loved this getaway and would absolutely stay here again. It’s a wonderful retreat for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy a unique farm experience.

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch

Dave and Sharon’s space was so serene and lovely. We arrived late in the evening and Dave came out to greet us and show us the space and brought some firewood over for us to enjoy our dinner around the fire. We loved the gardens, abundance of trees and flowers and spent most of our time outside bird watching and playing with their dogs. It was a wonderful experience and we would stay here again. You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought and effort into making the space enjoyable!

Weekend Trip to Wild Hearts on Whidbey

We arrived at sunset as the stained glass caught the light. The cabin felt like walking into a whimsical cathedral and was a very unique and charming experience. You can tell Rochelle has put really mindful thought, work, passion, and intent into it. Everything was clean, restroom facilities nearby, blow torch to start the wood-burning stove, and cozy ambiance. We did get a little bit of smoke from the stove indoors (although I think this comes with the territory) and no clear access to an outdoor fire pit. However, be sure to step outside first thing in the morning and enjoy the choir of birds - it’s a pure delight.

This is a beautiful property with gardens and an owl nest on the property. I heard it hunting last night it woke me up!!! Amazing time in the forest. The place is full of sweet little touches and easy cooking in the community kitchen. It would be great place for a family reunion camping style. I would definitely recommend!

Allison was an amazing host and very hospitable. The bunk in the barn was a perfect relaxing getaway and is conveniently located near downtown areas and small shops. The friendly horses and donkeys on the property made the stay extra special and brought plenty of smiles. To top it off, the fire pit was amazing—so peaceful and relaxing. I would rate this stay a 10 out of 10 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique farm-style getaway. An amazing experience overall.

This was our first experience with HipCamp, and I must say it will be a hard one to follow! Dave and Sharon's place was amazing. We had fun walking the gardens during the day and making s'mores on the campfire at night. They provided us with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking dinner-- and Dave even offered us some veggies from his garden for our meal. Looking forward to our next visit!

The owners explained everything very well in the email they send you, leaving no doubt you have everything you need. I enjoyed the area and the camping, I would highly recommend as a new experience and the host were so nice.

We had such an amazing stay in the Big Dipper with our large dog and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hosts truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with anything we could need. They were incredibly welcoming and it felt so safe staying there. The outdoor kitchen was one of our favorite parts, it had all the utensils and supplies we needed and was so thoughtfully put together. The bathrooms were also exceptionally clean and well maintained, which made the whole stay even more comfortable. Overall, it was such a peaceful and perfect getaway, and we genuinely have zero complaints.
