Sites have a generous fire pit and access to a Porta-Potty. For bathing I recommend cool dip in the Stillaguamish River. Saltgrass's location allows for many fun outdoor activities such as hiking at Kukutali Preserve State Park, crabbing, fishing, birding, bicycling and playing on the beach, my kids actually found a bottle with a message inside years ago. Alternatively, you could explore the many little shops in the towns of La Conner and Anacortes. There are multiple activities available, I would suggest calling ahead in order to book kayaking, rock climbing, whale watching, or a sailing charter. You could easily take a day trip to the San Juan Islands by taking a ferry ride out of Anacortes, walk on or book ahead if you are taking your car. Also, the Swinomish Casino and golf course are within two miles. While you're here you may meet our pup Turner, we also have two cats and several chickens. On the property are your hosts Jeri and Nancy, as well as our handyman Sean, Saltgrass boasts beautiful flowers, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and yes, the Bay. We try to live harmoniously with the land. We would love to share our space with you! Due to potential freezing weather and vulnerable water pipes, we are taking the Bamboo cabin offline for December 1 through February 28. The trees surrounding the property today are mostly fir and alder. The 16'x20' cabin sits tucked back against the forest, looking out with territorial forest and mountain views of the Cascades. Outside you'll find a firepit with chairs and a picnic table for your enjoyment. Off to the side you'll also find our tidy and clean-smelling outhouse. Inside the cabin you'll be surprised at the roominess and open feel given the cabin's dimensions. A counter with sink hides all of your plates, utensils, pots and pans. An L-shaped dining nook seats 3 comfortably. Across the room you'll find wonderful wood-stove for those chilly nights, and a sofa to relax on. A wide ladder leads up to the sleeping loft where you'll find a double -sized (full) futon bed tucked under the window looking out toward the mountains. Given the cabin's size, it is best-suited for couples. There is a nice flat tent-site at the cabin as well. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests at the property at any time. Please note, this is an OFF-GRID cabin with NO ELECTRICITY or RUNNING WATER. You're welcome to bring a portable generator to plug into our lighting system. Camp Keyser is a wooded 5 acre parcel in the mountains, near mountain loop highway - in the center of everything wonderful in the northern cascade mountains. We have one private cabin and 6 campsites. Tent campers will enjoy the lush landscape of a mature forest with sites along the (seasonal) Thirsty Creek. Nearby (3 minute walk), users can contemplate views of Whitehorse Mountain, Jumbo Mountain, Glacier Peak, and Whitechuck Mountain. This part of the Stillaguamish valley and the adjacent Mountain Loop Highway is known for a great selection of hiking trails, at all skill levels. It is perfect hub for all of your outdoor interests. The trailhead for the summit of Whitehorse Mountain is just a mile away, as is Old Mine Road trail (45 minute hike ending in 2 waterfalls). A 15-20 minute walk takes campers to a swimming hole in the cool Stillaguamish river for a dip or a paddle. Even closer is Whitehorse Regional Trail (great for biking, walking and horseback riding) built on the bed of the former BNSF railroad through the North Stillaguamish River Valley, spanning over 27 miles. The nearly level trail meanders through the valley, rewarding visitors with picturesque, landscape views of forests, farmland, streams and rivers, and mountain vistas. Sites have a generous fire pit and access to a Porta-Potty. For bathing I recommend cool dip in the Stillaguamish River. In season there is also fishing, snowshoeing, concerts at the blue grass festival grounds, a rodeo, and so much more.

Thank you all for 2025!!! If it's not freezing, reach out! I may be able to book you in. Stay in our cabin at the estuary on Turners Bay where wildlife is abundant and easy to see. The Bamboo cabin is very private and has everything you need to just hang out. Saltgrass's location allows for many fun outdoor activities such as hiking at Kukutali Preserve State Park, crabbing, fishing, birding, bicycling and playing on the beach, my kids actually found a bottle with a message inside years ago. Alternatively, you could explore the many little shops in the towns of La Conner and Anacortes. There are multiple activities available, I would suggest calling ahead in order to book kayaking, rock climbing, whale watching, or a sailing charter. You could easily take a day trip to the San Juan Islands by taking a ferry ride out of Anacortes, walk on or book ahead if you are taking your car. Also, the Swinomish Casino and golf course are within two miles. While you're here you may meet our pup Turner, we also have two cats and several chickens. On the property are your hosts Jeri and Nancy, as well as our handyman Sean, Saltgrass boasts beautiful flowers, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and yes, the Bay. We try to live harmoniously with the land. We would love to share our space with you! Due to potential freezing weather and vulnerable water pipes, we are taking the Bamboo cabin offline for December 1 through February 28. Huge old century-old cedar stumps litter the surrounding woods and you'll see where loggers in the early 1900's cut into the sides to place their springboards. The trees surrounding the property today are mostly fir and alder. The 16'x20' cabin sits tucked back against the forest, looking out with territorial forest and mountain views of the Cascades. Outside you'll find a firepit with chairs and a picnic table for your enjoyment. Off to the side you'll also find our tidy and clean-smelling outhouse. Inside the cabin you'll be surprised at the roominess and open feel given the cabin's dimensions. A counter with sink hides all of your plates, utensils, pots and pans. An L-shaped dining nook seats 3 comfortably. Across the room you'll find wonderful wood-stove for those chilly nights, and a sofa to relax on. A wide ladder leads up to the sleeping loft where you'll find a double -sized (full) futon bed tucked under the window looking out toward the mountains. Given the cabin's size, it is best-suited for couples. There is a nice flat tent-site at the cabin as well. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests at the property at any time. Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

The cabin at Valhalla once again proved to be a wonderful autumn destination to relax amongst the trees, listen to the babbling stream, soak in the sun atop Look Out Rock and cook up some good food around the campfire. I can't say enough good things about this place, it is really an oasis of calm.

We went of for the weekend for a port gamble conference. After some research, we came across this lovely place! We absolutely looooooved the peacocks and goats! I would definitely love to visit again! The only thing I would recommend if you stay here through late fall or winter is to pack something warm to sleep in. It didn’t get a little chilly, but other than that, it was a lovely place. ♥️

The A-Frame is spectacular. The host is kind, welcoming, accommodating, and a joy to work with. I've now visited this and the same owners' other cabin 3-4 times and will continue to! Comparing the 2 below (I love them both - just depends on what you're looking for) Similarities: --Both have: -super- fire pit areas, great views (one woods, one more open), privacy, keypad lock on door, access to trails, gas-powered indoor burner for cooking, outdoor shower with hot water (in season), ~4" foam mattresses on all beds, parking for at least 2 vehicles, picnic table, outdoor chairs and table on a deck. Differences: --The A-frame has side-by-side sleeping arrangements, wider than a king bed, so great for singles AND great for couples. The cabin has bunk beds. --The A-frame has some pots, pans, and dishes to help on a rainy day. Last I was there, the other cabin didn't have dishes/cookware. --Running sink water at each (in season), indoors at A-frame and outdoors at cabin. --The cabin has gas-powered heat and the A-frame has a wood stove. --The A-frame has a composting toilet, cabin has an outhouse. --The tables at each are different orientation - A-frame's can be folded up/down but you sit side-by-side. Cabin is 2 benches and you face each other. Seriously, though, you can't go wrong with either!

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch

We had a wonderful stay at the potting shed for our 2nd anniversary! Dave and Sharon are great and hospitable hosts who have put so much love and care into their property and this cabin. We had everything we needed and more and even though it was a very rainy weekend, we still got to enjoy the trails and gardens on the property with some raincoats on!! We woke up on our last morning to some delicious muffins dropped off in the kitchen and Dave cut us some mushrooms to take home with us! The kitchen was well-stocked and with it being super chilly outside the shower and kitchen sink still got warm!! This is such a cozy and peaceful place with all of the amenities that you’d need but with an outdoorsy glamping perk! We will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful cabin, we stayed there with our in laws in the fall and it was so cozy. The view is stunning and so much space for our dogs to run around and play! Loved the wood burning stove, kept the place so toasty and with the rain it was such a vibe. Would absolutely be back! The host was so kind and responsive as well- she lended us whatever we needed and helped us get the fire going in the cabin.
