We've got very basic accommodations. Camping is anywhere you want as long as you leave no trace (ish). Rocky Ford creek fishing less than a mile away. The George Amphitheatre less than 45 min away. (Designated driver to and from concerts can be prearranged for an additional charge) . Plus countless lakes around us full of fish, swimming, and fun.
We do have an electric fence on property. It really hurts. Don't touch it.

Come camp near the river at a fully-functional whitewater river rafting basecamp!! Our group-style camping area is great for small groups of people or small, two-somes too. We have a total of 4 spots,; 1 is suitable for 2 large, or 3 small tents, 2 are suitable for 2-averags-sized tents, and one is a small tent spot only. Camp spots are next to each other, so not alot of "Wild forest-camping" here. We refer to it as urban camping. Please be aware that there is some traffic noise here, as we are close to Highway 2. Weekend camping is limited, and you may hear the occasional train whistle. WiFi and fire pit included as well as on-site port-a-potties. There is a large communal firepit, but no individual camp firepits, with the option of bringing a propane stand-alone firepit. Small fires only in June, fire ban starting July 1st due to wildfire concerns. No smoking and children are OK as long as they are kept under control. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are spacing camps out more, we have a foot-operated handwash station, and 2 hand sanitizing stations. Per the CDC, we are unable to offer any potable water to anyone this year. Our camping area is somewhat small, does NOT have grass, but area has bark. Please be ready to be respectful of our neighbors and other campers by keeping your music to a low-to-medium volume. Please bring photo ID and a credit card to complete our camper registration form with. In addition, we are a river rafting company, so we may not have anyone present when you show up - don't worry, we are probably on the river and will be back soon!

With three separate, private sites available find the one which is the best match for your needs. Site 1 is convenient, easy to access and great for tents and small trailers, and close to the community outhouse and wellhouse. Site 2 is the most private, ideal for larger groups and tucked among the trees; ideal for many tents or camper and located on grassy flat land. Site 3 (not currently available, working on the site and amenities as of 4.21.24) includes use of our on-site camper with some extra space for additional tents and access to community outhouse and wellhouse. Looking to accommodate a larger group? Contact the host for a discount to rent all three and have the entire property to yourself! Further detail on each site page.
This retreat is dedicated to sustainable living and development. Our well is powered by solar panels and batteries, the outhouse is a biogas system which has a hand pump for flush, and utilizes human waste to produce methane and fertilizer. The methane is then plumbed to a single burner in our kitchenette and can be used for cooking or boiling water when enough methane is present! Booking this hipcamp is supporting sustainable living and development! :D
If you like nature, there are many features for you. From hiking to biking, off road access, hunting, or wildlife viewing, Derby Canyon offers it all. Enjoy a day in Leavenworth, the Wenatchee River, mountain bike trail, or a hike in the mountains.
Though most of the area does not receive cell phone service (I have Verizon) we do get service at this site. Located about 5 miles off the county road, cell service will fall off for the first 4 miles, however most people will have service at the site itself. Please PRINT or DOWNLOAD the directions I will email you for OFFLINE use!
For now we are offering this site as a private escape campsite to enjoy the depths of nature in a serene setting. Wood fires are not allowed but we do have a propane firepit available for use free of charge - bring your own propane!
