The property backs up to Dept of Natural Resources Land, which is accessible by hiking in only (no motor vehicles or ATVs). There is a trail on property and many miles of gravel roads available for biking. Indoor bathroom inside our home is available as needed. Well Water available by hose to fill containers or tanks as needed. Mountain bikes recommended (no motor bikes/ATVs allowed). Campfires are not allowed. There are many lakes for fishing within driving distance. This is desert land, so it has natural desert animals, such as rattlesnakes and coyotes. Please be aware and be prepared. It is busy during cherry harvest (4th of July through end of July) with regular chemical sprays being applied by our neighbors from April through September so if you are sensitive to agricultural chemicals this site is not recommended. Also be advised we're on top of a mountain and can get quite breezy at times. Pets are welcome but should be supervised due to predators (primarily coyotes and various birds of prey). And the chickens, I have a friend raising chickens on the upper part of the property where they mostly just make routine chicken noises but there are some roosters that seem to be nocturnal which some folks can find annoying. We also have varying numbers of snakes as the weather warms up some years they are more prevalent than others (contact me if you are concerned for a snake report). On the bright side we don't have any wasps or mosquitoes. This site is available once the snow melts and the mud dries up, typically mid-March until it begins freezing on a regular basis which varies but not much past mid October. This spot is also available for longer term rentals.

We appreciated the heated bathrooms just a short walk from our site. The RV park is next to the highway, but we weren't bothered by any noise at night.

Hauntingly serene and remote location in the basalt columned scablands of Eastern Washington on the unrestored portion of a family ranch in the Crab Creek bottoms. Interesting historic barns and structures with cool vintage retired machinery. It’s a new HipCamp and will likely get some improvements, like signage and some tidying of the immediate grounds and perhaps more detail in the listing. There’s only one hookup spot, so if it’s taken, you’ll be dry camping. But the host was amenable to getting some distance from the other guest while I was there. The price is very reasonable. The region has so few camping opportunities, I’m grateful they opened up this gem. BNSF trains run by a couple times an hour 200 yards away, but no crossings for miles, so no whistles.

This camping spot truly exceeded our expectations. The site was immaculately clean and well maintained, offering a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views of the valley. The host was exceptional—communicative, welcoming, and clearly thoughtful. As a sweet gesture, he left us delicious cookies for both me and my pups, which we enjoyed while soaking in the scenery. It’s little touches like this that make a stay memorable. Navigating and parking our RV was a breeze, and the site included a cozy tent with a comfortable bed, perfect for lounging and gazing down the valley. The propane firepit was a fantastic addition, and the host even provided a full tank, so we didn’t have to worry about setup. Overall, this place is a true gem—a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the outdoors with ease.

Loved this mountain space, drove down a gravel road through some beautiful farmland before we reached our spot. Set up a tiny fire in the pit and a tent for the night and it was perfect! A little windy, as expected from the top of a scenic mountain, but overall a wonderful experience. Would come again and recommend to anyone looking for a private camping spot to enjoy the views and wind down :) Thanks for the stay

Beautiful views! Nice and flat spot to setup our tent. The ground was hard so we couldn’t put the tent stakes in the ground, but fortunately there was very little wind so it wasn’t an issue. We will definitely try and come back again.
