It's currently identified as a USDA type silvopasture farm. The priority crop is growing native fir trees that will be harvested in 60+ years as telephone poles. During this time, the land will be grazed by a variety of livestock balanced to keep fields and animals healthy and productive. The current owners purchased the farm fall of 2023 from a family estate that owned it since the 1970s. It is considered a legacy project as work progresses to Firewise the land in support of old growth native trees and maximum summer shade for salmon. During the 2025 grazing season, the NE pasture of 5 acres along the river fed 8 Katahdin Sheep. Wenatchee is 12 miles away, 35 miles to the Gorge Amphitheater, 30 miles to Leavenworth and 45 miles to Lake Chelan. This is an farming area with cherry orchards 200 feet from the site. It is busy during cherry harvest (4th of July through end of July) with regular chemical sprays being applied by our neighbors from April through September so if you are sensitive to agricultural chemicals this site is not recommended. Also be advised we're on top of a mountain and can get quite breezy at times. Pets are welcome but should be supervised due to predators (primarily coyotes and various birds of prey). And the chickens, I have a friend raising chickens on the upper part of the property where they mostly just make routine chicken noises but there are some roosters that seem to be nocturnal which some folks can find annoying. We also have varying numbers of snakes as the weather warms up some years they are more prevalent than others (contact me if you are concerned for a snake report). On the bright side we don't have any wasps or mosquitoes. This site is available once the snow melts and the mud dries up, typically mid-March until it begins freezing on a regular basis which varies but not much past mid October. This spot is also available for longer term rentals.

Great location with stunning views. It's definitely up there, and the road initially feels a little sketchy, but don't let that scare you. I was easily able to tow a 30ft trailer up no problem, and Chris came right out to assist and asked if I needed anything! Being so high, be prepared for wind, but if you get a night with no wind, the sunset views are amazing! I would definitely stay at these sites again!

Renato’s spot is fantastic for a group! We had the whole space to ourselves and he was a wonderful host. You can’t miss wine tasting and hearing about the property Renato has built. The views were also incredible and worth the drive from Seattle.

Found this place same day and very happy we did!! It is more so set up for rvs but we had no problem setting up our tent to camp. The host was so accomodating and called us before to check in with us and after we left. Super close to Chelan which is what we were looking for. Definitely would stay here again.

Renato is lovely as is his vineyard for camping and wine tasting. We had a truly magical experience camping out under the stars. Highly recommend and would love the chance to return someday!

Weekend Trip to Farm Stays At Chelan Ranch

Great place with a beautiful view of the Valley, highly recommend staying at this location, I will be returning. The gift bag upon arrival was a real treat. Has lots of cool and interesting things to do while visiting including some treats. The fresh fruit right beside the camp spot was another great treat and nice to have. This is an active farm so take that into consideration when booking. Extremely respectful people that work on the farm that respect peoples privacy, very friendly work force. Would highly recommend this location, only 7 minute drive to amenities and beach areas.

Weekend Trip to Del Rosario Family Vineyard

Overall a great experience, and would recommend to anyone. The campsite was remote, and quiet even with other campers around. Renato was an incredible host, and checked in regularly to make sure we had what we needed. If you like wine tasting, that was an awesome perk as well. The campsite was spacious, plenty big for a large or small group. Lots to do within an hour of the campsite location. I will definitely be coming back!
