Your private getaway is secluded from the rest of the farm life but you are welcome to visit and partake in whatever the farm offers. We have Nigerian dwarf goats, apples, pears, plums, blackberries & Iris to enjoy. Wild animals abound. There are walking/biking trails right around the corner and you are 15 minutes from downtown, the ocean and enjoying sports like kayaking, swimming, whale watching, etc. Our glamping sites are completely off grid. Enjoy simplicity in comfortable luxury!
We are dog friendly, and we require all guests to clean up after their dogs. There are plastic bags provided for animal waste disposal when dogs are in the backyard and on neighborhood walks. Cleaning up after pets includes excess pet hair, especially on furniture. Please use the waterproof pet blanket provided for the sofa and bed.
Guests bring the animal onto the property at their own risk. The booking guest is liable for any damages that pets cause. (We will have to charge a cleaning fee if your dog leaves behind a mess or causes damage.)
We find that most people are cooperative and responsible with their pets. We love traveling with our fur babies, and would like to keep allowing pets in our listings. Thank you for being understanding and working with us to keep our rental available to pets!

We are located 30 min Southeast of Bellingham and one hour away from the fantastic Mt Baker ski area.

The pictures of this property does not do it justice. It’s is absolutely gorgeous and tranquil. Kaitlyn and Tom have created the most beautiful space. It is clean, quiet and relaxing.
The hosts give you privacy and are very hospitable to anything you may need during your stay.

Weekend Trip to Nature’s Way Yurt Sanctuary & Spa
The yurt and nature spa were absolutely fantastic. My sister and I spent two nights at Kaitlyn’s place. The yurt was so cozy and the mattress was the perfect firmness. The nature spa was so relaxing. We appreciated that we could use the spa throughout our stay and spent the first night in the hot tub stargazing. Kaitlyn recommended a hike for us to do which was lovely - we then came back to the spa all set up for an elemental circuit including a clay mask and seaweed. We felt so good afterwards! Kaitlyn was so kind and welcoming, would stay here again!

The yurt was so cozy and the area was secluded which made it easy to relax. The amenities such as a solar shower, grill and compostable toilet area with a pump sink is perfect for those who are not so comfortable with tent camping. The yurt is on the smaller side but it was enough room for my partner, myself and our pups! We enjoyed coming back to this area after exploring Bellingham and going for a swim at the nearby lakes. The directions were clear and we would definitely stay again :)

Well appointed yurt, nice bathroom and cozy shower. Full kitchen with all needed amenities. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching birds and squirrels. Host has games and a movie viewer available which was nice on a rainy day. Parking is sufficient for one car. Some traffic noise as close to major highway. Overall a pleasant experience.

Eric was a lovely host! The yurt was incredibly romantic (thanks for the additional birthday flowers!), comfy, and the setup was excellent. We had everything we needed and more. Visits from Merlin, the big shaggy dog, were very welcome and sweet. The bed was amazing! Eric gave great tips about things to see and do in the area as well.

Lovely yurt stay! Peaceful and nestled in the trees, while also a perfect home base for getting to downtown Bellingham, WWU, and the beautiful surrounding area. Everything from the homey interior, solar shower, cozy little bathroom, and spacious deck made for a comfortable couple of nights. Joshua was so kind and extremely responsive…even promptly mailed back a beloved stuffie left behind!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Sara’s yurt. It was very comfortable, close to what’s happening in Port Townsend but in a tranquil setting. Sara provided everything we needed, with lots of thoughtful touches that made us smile. The private outdoor patio was also comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Sara’s yurt!!

Such a cozy yurt! It had everything we needed for our short weekend getaway. The dogs were thankful to be able to come along. The porch was great to watch different birds at the bird feeder, and there were 5 deer watching me as I read. Sara was very responsive, and location was great for exploring Port Townsend! Would recommend staying here!

Tips for snagging a campsite
- You can reserve all of the park’s 172 tent sites, 134 partial-hookup sites, and five hiker/biker sites online.
- Deception Pass is a popular state park. Reservations should be made in advance, especially for summer weekends. All campsites can be reserved online, up to nine months in advance of the arrival date.
- The Ben Ure Cabin on Ben Ure Island is accessible only by kayak or rowboat, and guests must bring their own water.
When to go
Deception Pass State Park is open year-round. In the Coastal Northwest’s relatively mild climate, there’s never a bad time to visit. Summers, especially on weekends and holidays, are very busy here. But come in the shoulder season—in the spring or early summer, before July 4—or early fall, after Memorial Day, and you’re more likely to find seclusion. Weekdays are generally a better bet, too.
Know before you go
- You can rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards at the Bowman Bay concession stand from April through September.
- Visitors will need to display a day-use or annual Discover Pass. The park has automated pay stations dispensing both, along with boat launch permits.
- The park has 1.2 miles of ADA hiking trails, in addition to three miles of bike trails, six miles of horse trails, and 38 miles of hiking trails.
