Interesting fact: Our homestead is located on the McConihe Flats. 1200 years ago the Sinkiuse Indians would meet on the McConihe Flats and trade. They would also collect things along the shore of the lake such, as duck eggs and reeds, which are still around today.
We are conveniently located between Moses Lake and Ephrata Washington. Only 12 minutes from either town where you can find Walmart, other stores, and resturants for all your needs.

Last Chance Glass Getaway is a small eleven acre farm exceptionally situated in the gorgeous Walla Walla Valley. There are level access and pull through camp sites along the Burlingame Canal and the South fork of the Little Walla Walla river (a creek). Enjoy nature here on the Old Oregon trail in the form of beaver ponds, coyote song, deer trails, bird watching and star gazing - just a half mile from the historic Whitman Mission.
Park on the partial pavement (Mountain and Garden Sites) or drive gently on the grass to one of the well separated sites. Each site has its own picnic table and fire pit.
There is self service firewood for sale. Fresh eggs most days. Both available as an "extra" on the app. ($10, $5)
Orchard Site and Park Site are shady and cool on the north side of the drive. Park is nestled in the trees next to the barn. Orchard site has mature trees for both shade and sunshine. Park site has it's own water spigot and is within reach of a 110amp electrical outlet with your extension cord. No A/C or high amp use please.
Mountain Site and Garden site are both situated along the Burlingame Canal, a historic waterway and engineering marvel worth googling. Both have an unobstructed east facing view of farmland and the Blue Mountains - perfect for full moons and sunrises. These two sites are generally in the shade around dinner time. Robyn and her family were great hosts. We enjoyed the scenic starry night skies and ease of tent camping in their pasture. As a first time hip camper I would definitely recommend Lava Ranch to others. This is a working ranch/farm so lots of animals around. There is a bathroom and shower to use and access can be provided for internet access. They offer a lot of activities that might be new and exciting to city people getting out to the country but we weren’t there long enough to take advantage of them. Just a little over an hour from Pullman and 25 minutes from Palouse falls, the unique location was really convenient for us.

Camping on Kara's land was a very pleasant surprise. We were in the Tri-cities to see our granddaughter play soccer and needed a place not too far from the sports complex to park our teardrop trailer. Brown Barrel turned out to be perfect for us. It is in a suburban area, but the spot, which is right next to a creek, is private and quiet. We slept well to the sound of the flowing water; we brought our own water and camp toilet since there is no restroom nor is there potable water available at the site. There is power, so we were able to plug in the trailer; a real advantage. Nearby are many dining options. We drove a few miles to Badger mountain for a late afternoon hike which was wonderful.
We will return the next time we come to the Tri-cities.

This was the perfect pit stop on our way home! BEAUTIFUL surroundings, we got to see the horses, pigs, sheep, chickens. My kids played volleyball and soccer and we stayed up late playing some of the games that are in the trailer.

I loved staying in the Airstream on Ryan's farm! It really is an oasis! After a stormy wet day, the sun came out for sunset and it turned out to be a gorgeous evening. I had so much fun watching and petting the animals and the next day I enjoyed a sunny morning on the beautiful deck overlooking the farm.

Taylor’s place was the perfect location to camp while visiting McNary National Wildlife Refuge. It was impeccably clean, had easy access to the refuge and to Richland, and was very quiet.
The host greeted me and made sure I had everything I needed. I was glad for the availability of power as the evenings were chilly.
I would camp there again when visiting the area.
