Lovely spot, I would choose another time of year, maybe earlier in spring as the meadow had dried out and gone to seed which was a bummer for the dog. Overall a quiet little refuge with curious sheep nearby. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The good: Quiet! A little road noise, but not much. Good star gazing, nice bird watching/ listening. The river is lovely. The Hipcamp is 10 minutes from town!
The bad: huge thistles everywhere and only a small portion of the field was mowed. The field is surrounded by poison hemlock so be aware of what you touch / and where you let your pets roam. It’s also just way too pricey. I think $10-$15 bucks a night is a fair asking price for this campsite.
I would recommend it if you are in a van or RV. We were in a tent and it was definitely not ideal but we made do. We couldn’t set up near the trees / under shade due to the thistles. The heat / sun woke us up around 7:30am both days. Due to ticks, thistles, hemlock, I wouldn’t bring my dogs here.
Some serious mowing and hemlock removal would make this such a nice spot!

It was a lovely and calm place to park for a night. And very safe. My only feedback for the hosts would be to clear a path to the water. My legs got pretty scratched up getting down there, but it was absolutely worth it to sit by the lovely creek for a bit in the morning.

Nice rural farm camp. Lots of nettles, but no high grass in the meadow when I was there. The real treat of this spot is the creek, perfect to hang out in on a hot day, I didn’t want to leave. Didn’t see anyone else. Irrigation pipes mentioned in other reviews are on the right side of the meadow when you enter through the tree gap. The left side was fully clear. Park next to the trees for shade.

We loved this quiet farm spot. The kids (6 yo, 4 yo, and 20 months) enjoyed playing in the field, seeing all kinds of farm animals and wildlife, and splashing in the creek.
This is a great place to bring your well behaved dog. Our dog loved being off leash, laying in the grass, and observing the wildlife and farm animals. Please note there are lots of animals to observe, so I wouldn’t recommend if your dog is prone to chase animals and barks a lot.
The wild life we observed included quail, black billed magpie, wild turkey, a bunny, and of course, the farm animals: sheep, goat, and cows.
My only recommendation would be to have the grass cut a bit shorter for the kids, but we managed without a problem.
Highly recommend for children to explore, play, and learn; and, well behaved off leash dogs.

Overall, a pretty nice place. Very fragrant with spring flowers in bloom. The line of trees on the property provided shade if parked right up against, which we did. There was a field with some cattle in front of the camping area, which was fun to watch. Also some sheep in the adjacent field.
Mill creek runs behind the property, however, due to the high grass, we only went back there once (ticks have been reported here - but only saw 1 .. and none on our 4 animals) The views were pretty minimal, however as trees behind us blocked any view, and in front of us, the rolling hills also blocked any view beyond about 1/4 mile. It was still relatively a scenic ranch, however.
The "site" faced the two hwy 12's that were about 1/8 -1/4 mile away. While the noise was not too much of an issue, it did create bit of lack of privacy. It was far enough away though that it wasn't a huge deal, however. Verizon was 1-2 bars, but we had starlink.
I think $50 is a bit steep (+$10 in fees).... $40 would have been better.

This was a nice place to stop as we were traveling through the area. Are two dogs loved running around and chopping on the grass. The river was pretty. Would be a nice to dip in if it were warmer. Quiet, private and easy.

The location was convenient to Walla Walla and the wineries. Nice creek to chill next to as well. Advice to the owner would be to remove the steel bars sitting in the field to the right so that no one runs them over accidentally. To get our RV level, we had to move around a bit and that's where I saw them.

We loved the wild turkey sightings and curious cows. Shallow creek nearby was fun to dip our feet in too. Secluded and quiet. Perfect for an overnight stay

Overall, a quiet spot. We were under the impression that we'd be the only campers at the site, but the last night of our stay another trailer pulled up and camped as well, completely surprising us. The other campers were quiet, it just would have been nice to have been told ahead of time that that was going to happen. It was disappointing.

A nice, private place to camp south of US 12. It was conveniently located for our cross-country trip, and it was so fun to hear birdsong and see the turkeys in the field and hear them in the morning. We got in really late and set up in the dark, and it was nice to not be disturbing our neighbors, since there weren’t any! A word of caution that I unneeded for most people: we got in late enough that the kids, very sleepy, got out of the car in their blankets and laid in the field, and the sticky grass seeds got embedded in their blankets and took awhile to get out! You probably would never encounter that situation, but be warned! 😆 We would happily camp here again!

Very nice spot by the river. Don't use Google maps as it brings you in the wrong side of the river! Use the owners description, very easy to get to. We saw 4 deer, 4 turkeys, a quail right outside our door and rabbit. Really liked the dark and quiet. Now the but, we let our 2 wiener dogs out for maybe a half hour (which they loved and the hunter was right into the foot tall grass) and then we had a significant TIC problem. The only negative. We feel price could be a little less.

Nice quiet place to stay. Great for a family camping trip and the best part is we were alone; did not have to deal with crazy people during the holiday weekend! Only bummer was there was a lot of ticks but it’s the outdoors so what do we expect. Only feedback I would have is if they could have made the grass shorter it was hard to move around in. But other than that it was great!! Recommend 100%

We had a tent and camper van. We loved the freedom to come and go and felt safe to leave items there. We arrived to deer and turkey in the field, pristine sight. This spot was lovely and surprisingly quiet until the turkeys woke us in the morning to tell us everything they know!😀I loved seeing watching the sun rise on this farm. The deer, turkeys, cows, flowers, birds, and creek behind the site all enhanced the beauty of this site. Thank you for sharing this treasure with us- can’t wait to come again!
