Great experience we came in the last minute in the evening. It was starting to rain and the owners moved the porta-potty, which comes with a wash station closer to our site. In the evening and overnight, the train came through a few times that it was more nostalgic, then disruptive. We definitely stay here again!

Perfect home-base camping spot for wine tasting and bike riding around Walla Walla. This was our second time staying here (had visited before in 2023) and definitely would love to visit again in the future. Nice to be under mature trees while camping, and the property is quiet and beautiful.

A lovely, safe place to camp. Even in October the lavender scent and the pumpkin field gives the place a unique feel. Tom and Louise made us feel very much at home. And the bathrooms! Tiled walk-in showers. Camp because of the lavender and lush grass. Stay for the bathrooms. lol. We will definitely come back.

Nice spot. Super helpful camp host provided firewood, which we were too tired to use. Spot was quiet. Restrooms were very clean. We were there on a Monday, so most of town was closed. But very short walk to what looked like some nice restaurants.

Beautiful spot! Close enough to town that it is easy to get to activities there but definitely feel like you are way out in the country. Loved having my morning coffee with the goats! We are just off the main highway between Milton-Freewater and Walla Walla Easy to access for all size RVs on all paved roads. All campers are welcome to pick a spot on our spacious lush lawns surrounded by fragrant lavender fields. Pets are welcome and feel free to wander our alfalfa hay fields and long rows of colorful lavender. We are close to all the area attractions, wineries, golf courses, restaurants and historic sites Crockett Road Lavender Farm an active lavender producing operation and a country themed lavender boutique is on site if you wish to shop! One note--We do not have full RV hookups. Both Hipcamp sites on the farm do have water hooks. And, in a pinch, we can get power to you if absolutely needed. Learn more about this land: Last Chance Glass Getaway is a small eleven acre farm exceptionally situated in the gorgeous Walla Walla Valley. There are level access and pull through camp sites along the Burlingame Canal and the South fork of the Little Walla Walla river (a creek). Enjoy nature here on the Old Oregon trail in the form of beaver ponds, coyote song, deer trails, bird watching and star gazing - just a half mile from the historic Whitman Mission. Park on the partial pavement (Mountain and Garden Sites) or drive gently on the grass to one of the well separated sites. Each site has its own picnic table and fire pit. There is self service firewood for sale. Fresh eggs most days. Both available as an "extra" on the app. ($10, $5) Orchard Site and Park Site are shady and cool on the north side of the drive. Park is nestled in the trees next to the barn. Orchard site has mature trees for both shade and sunshine. Park site has it's own water spigot and is within reach of a 110amp electrical outlet with your extension cord. No A/C or high amp use please. Mountain Site and Garden site are both situated along the Burlingame Canal, a historic waterway and engineering marvel worth googling. Both have an unobstructed east facing view of farmland and the Blue Mountains - perfect for full moons and sunrises. These two sites are generally in the shade around dinner time. Note: The canal is empty August and Sept Creekside Site is the newest site. Fully fenced. Full hook up. Private and secluded. Quiet dogs permitted on leash only. Professionally maintained Sani-can. This campsite is a pull thru road that has a sun and wind block overlooking local farm fields. Camp is two miles from freeway exit yet miles from any home other than the working homestead that was started in 1890 with huge barn built in 1906 next door. This is a great place to rest for the night or a week. - simple, safe, and private out of the way. From I-84 you will take exit 198 for Lorenzen/McClintock Rd. Turn onto Lorenzen. Drive one mile until you get to an intersection next to a grain bin. Turn left (west) and drive for almost one mile. As you near the two openings for the site, you will see the sun shelter directly on your left. You want to turn at the 2nd opening, by the sign that says IN. You can pull up right next to the shelter and set up your space however you like. That way, when you leave you will exit by the sign that says OUT and be headed back towards the interstate like you came. This is a dry camp with no water access or restrooms. This site is 12 miles west from the world-famous Pendleton Round-Up. 8 miles east of Echo Ridge Winery, Sno Road Winery, Echo historical museum, and Echo Golf Course. Simple dining can be found in Echo at H and P cafe and in nearby Stanfield at Broken Barrel Restaurant/Bar with great burgers.

About

An old growth forest silently watches over you as you explore this verdant area. Emigrant Springs was once a stop for pioneers on the Oregon Trail. Like them, if you made it this far, you were in pretty good shape. This rest stop sits near the summit of the Blue Mountains.

Feel free to hike among pines and ferns. Equestrian trails let you spend time with your trusty steed. You can leave the Conestoga wagon at home, though. The amphitheater hosts regular events during warm weather.

The place has horseshoe pits, a ball fields, and basketball court for sports lovers. But the scenery is the main draw here.

The campground serves as a wonderful headquarters for exploring the surrounding forest. There are 32 rustic tent sites and 16 full hookup sites. Horse camp has seven sites. Seven rustic log cabins are the only campsites open in winter. Be sure to bring your skis, snowmobiles, or snowshoes.

Emigrant Springs Campground

Emigrant Springs is a very nice campground with one exception - road noise. It is right next to I-84. The tent only and cabin areas are a bit quieter but if you stay in the first loop, it’s loud. But, I’m noise sensitive so it may have bothered me more than it would someone else. The park itself is beautiful. There are trails to walk, the campsites aren’t right on top of each other. There is excellent cell coverage. The bathrooms and showers were super clean and the showers are roomy and have an amazing amount of water pressure. Other than the road noise, I really enjoyed my stay there.
