Camping in Emigrant Springs State Heritage Area

We enjoyed our stay and all the amenities included, such as coffee and cold water (very needed since it was so hot). We were especially impressed by the air conditioned bathrooms that were very spacious and clean. We did wish for a little more shade, but they have planted some young trees that should offer more in the future. In the meantime, I recommend bringing another source if you will be hanging out there in the summer. Our hosts were wonderful and very helpful, and the shop has lots to offer.

We loved camping on Tom's lavender farm! It was the best sleep with the scent of lavender wafting on a cool breeze through our camper van windows. Our dog loved being able to run around off leash. We also loved the linen spray we purchased from their gift shop and a sachet we received. I would definitely stay here again.

Fairly close to Walla Walla, WA. Lovely spot tucked behind a storage building with squash fields and mountains to look at. We had a little trouble finding the place at night, but James was kind enough to lead us to the site. Electric worked great and we had a very quiet and restful night. Hears some coyotes howling after dark, or maybe some kind of bird. Pretty cool.

A peaceful and pretty private camping spot with pleasant countryside views. The grass had come to seed and was a bit sharp for our dogs but we were able to walk them down the gravel road and they very much enjoyed that. It was close to the highway but we could not hear anything and had amazing views of the stars at night. We would definitely recommend the site to those seeking privacy and big sky views. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Jan was a great host and greeted us with a beautiful homebaked cinnamon/raisin bread, and introduced us to the farm's animals and the peaceful grounds. It was a quiet and beautiful place to pitch our tent and launch our backpacking trip into Eagle Cap Wilderness. We'll be back!

The site had a lovely view of the Blue Mountains and farmland. We were tent camping and found the site to be mostly level and our nearest neighbors were a good distance away. At night, we listened to frogs in the canal and the owls in the trees. We didn't use the fire pit but one was available. The porta potty was well maintained and just a short walk away. The location was close enough to town for convenience just a 10 min drive away.

Absolutely, we recommend staying at Phil and Oso's hipcamp! My husband and I arrived during onion harvest time, we were invited to help ourselves to as many onions as we could carry...delicious! This was such a fun spot! The animals and the river access was great. They had a super clean bathroom and room for our Sprintervan in a grass pasture with picnic tables. It was a great overnight spot for our road trip. Gina mentions it in the description but the train does come by at night so you do need earplugs.

We had a great evening staying over and enjoying the entertaining goats and donkey. It was very peaceful and had a wonderful campfire to relax by. Lots of space and my son slept in his hammock strung up between the trees. The one goat was really interested in what he was doing. Park on the partial pavement (Mountain and Garden Sites) or drive gently on the grass to one of the well separated sites. Each site has its own picnic table and fire pit. There is self service firewood for sale. Orchard Site and Park Site are shady and cool on the north side of the drive. Park is nestled in the trees next to the barn. Orchard site has mature trees for both shade and sunshine. Park site has it's own water spigot and is within reach of a 110amp electrical outlet with your extension cord. No A/C or high amp use please. Mountain Site and Garden site are both situated along the Burlingame Canal, a historic waterway and engineering marvel worth googling. Both have an unobstructed east facing view of farmland and the Blue Mountains - perfect for full moons and sunrises. These two sites are generally in the shade around dinner time. This campsite is a pull thru road that has a sun and wind block overlooking local farm fields. Camp is two miles from freeway exit yet miles from any home other than the working homestead that was started in 1890 with huge barn built in 1906 next door. This is a great place to rest for the night or a week. - simple, safe, and private out of the way. From I-84 you will take exit 198 for Lorenzen/McClintock Rd. Turn onto Lorenzen. Drive one mile until you get to an intersection next to a grain bin. Turn left (west) and drive for almost one mile. As you near the two openings for the site, you will see the sun shelter directly on your left. You want to turn at the 2nd opening, by the sign that says IN. You can pull up right next to the shelter and set up your space however you like. That way, when you leave you will exit by the sign that says OUT and be headed back towards the interstate like you came. This is a dry camp with no water access or restrooms. This site is 12 miles west from the world-famous Pendleton Round-Up. 8 miles east of Echo Ridge Winery, Sno Road Winery, Echo historical museum, and Echo Golf Course. Simple dining can be found in Echo at H and P cafe and in nearby Stanfield at Broken Barrel Restaurant/Bar with great burgers.

Nestled in a picturesque setting, our park is the perfect base for exploring the region's natural beauty, including stunning landscapes, outdoor adventures, and local dining and shopping options. This summer, W3 Entertainment will host exciting concerts at the nearby golf course, adding to the allure of your stay. Please note that if a concert is scheduled on a Friday or Saturday, a two-night minimum stay is required, accommodating a maximum of four guests per site. To ensure the safety and comfort of all guests during concert nights, specific rules will be enforced. Only your RV and one tow vehicle will be permitted on the property, with a maximum of six individuals allowed at your site, including occupants. Visitor vehicles must be parked on the street, and all guests must check in at the office. A wristband will be required for re-entry into the park after the concert. Please be aware that any vehicles without a parking permit will be towed. Tents are not allowed, and all guests must sleep inside their RVs. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with these rules to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
