All of our amenities are shared spaces, designed to foster community. You will find good signs with clear communication here. All of our lodgings are off-grid with no electricity or running water. Water, electricity, and wifi are available in the kitchen, garden, cafe, and lounge areas. Please bring battery-operated lights, bedding, and a pillow, unless otherwise noted. We request that campers check in before 8 pm. More than a campground this is a destination, come for the weekend or stay for the week. We have camping, glamping, and cabins available throughout the summer months. We also offer tours of the animals and gardens. There is a shower house, bathhouse, summer kitchen, library, cafe, fiber studio, yarn shop, and lots of outdoor seating. Additionally, we have safe potable water, a portable toilet, and two charcoal/wood barbeques available for your use on the patio. Big Valley

Come with your RV and camp on my property. It is a rural/farm area but very close to the cute town of Poulsbo. Relax with a pastureland view of big valley. Water and electricity are available (but no sewage). Big Valley is a popular biking area and there are some really nice hiking trails nearby. Killer frisbee golf course across the street. New for 2023 is a mesh WiFi system that gets great coverage at the site. Kick back and watch a movie on your laptop. Connection information is on the electric outlet adjacent to the site. In 2022 I had a gravel pad installed. I mention it as some of the older photos show folks needing levelers. Not the case anymore. I happily rent my pasture to J and W who come by in the morning and/or evening to check in on them. They have goats, alpacas, and piggies staying in my pasture. Wildlife galore including bald and golden eagles, red tail hawks, deer, raccoons, heron and coyotes. Some nights, we have live music in the evening by one of South Whidbey's amazing bands and beer flowing from the taps built into the wall of the cabana. It is just me and an occasional worker operating the property so you may see us weeding, milking goats, feeding farm animals, or watering some of the many gardens. You are encouraged to participate in activities on the farm and children are welcome to do the same. We are 5 minutes from Bailey's Corner Store, Whidbey's best burger joint, which has great music various nights of the week, and Ogres Brewery which also has great entertainment and beer. Langley and Freeland are each 20 minutes away.

Christmas Tree Ridge

This is my first season open to the public so feedback is very utilized. Hello, my name is Joe and I live here at Christmas Tree Ridge. This beautiful 5 acre canvas overlooks the Tahuya Valley to my south and is propped on the edge of a deep gullie to the East. Long ago this whole hillside farmed Christmas Trees. Valley Ridge Lookout is a first year clearing up at the top of the plot with no power or water hookups yet, the same for West Perch. Most seem to car camp or tent, even with the round rocky soil. However, if you are in need of power or water tanks filled just let me know, the lower drive area is near my utilities. Pros: -Borders state land, hunter's verify season. -Just broke brush on a trail that connects to the Howell Lake Trail for hiking, biking, motor bike, or horseback year round. Very narrow trail, just cut this year. -Wood for burning, not all sites have a fire ring. Ask, I can arrange things. -Trash free soil, keep it that way please. -Swimming hole at Howell lake is 1 mile via that trail, less then 10min by car. -Great views of Moon and Stars Cons: -1 mile long dirt road can get bumpy at times. -While a very private place, you're going to hear some noise still. Sometime very local target shooting now and then, often at the shooting range 4 km west. Distance road noise from the north during traffic hours, occasional loud car or liter bike buzzing the back road, and single engine planes, sometimes even aerobatic, practicing above. -Gully creates steep(100% Grade or more) drop near edge of camp sites. Please keep a safe distance. Be aware when walking around the east edge at night or you may find yourself 100ft lower in the bush or trees.

There is also a propane fire pit so you can have a campfire during burn bans, sink, outdoor heated shower, and compost toilet for guest use. Glamping fun! Yes! You will be nice and warm even if its cold and rainy with the woodstove in the tent. We start you off with a bundle of wood and you can bring wood or buy wood from us for $5/bundle. We provide a lighter and some fire starter sticks to get that fire going. Wood stove is the sole source of heat for the glamping tent. Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite

This backyard shed conversion is a perfect mix of comfy and quirky! Ms Pacman, Beanie Babies, a lips couch, and Space Jam all make an appearance in this suburban backyard glamping experience! At just 186 square feet, this spot is all yours to enjoy away from the noise of the city in our large and lush backyard. You will have full rein of a private patio to smoke or enjoy meals on our newly built cedar deck, or enjoy a drink in the shared hammock space under our towering Eastern Hemlock tree. Your quiet backyard refuge is newly converted with everything you’ll need for a fun weekend away. We are just two blocks from the bus stop with access to Seattle’s great transit system. This space is close to the airport, close to downtown, and walkable to the home of the The Rat City Roller Derby in White Center. And only two blocks from your door is Westcrest Park, a Greenbelt with trails and a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline. If you feel like staying in, enjoy our Mr and Mrs Pacman games in your “mini arcade” or make use of some of the supplied board games or the sudoku/coloring books available. Relax on an iconic Seattle drag bar’s original “lips couch” and grab a book from our queer library with beer available for purchase in your kitchenette. This is a stand alone structure that is separate from our main house. There is no shower in this dry space, but there is a camping sink that functions like a normal kitchen sink with hot water capacity. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, “Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite” is a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, so don’t bob your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities. We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has a microbrewery, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, a plant store, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants.

This is my first season open to the public so feedback is very utilized. Hello, my name is Joe and I live here at Christmas Tree Ridge. This beautiful 5 acre canvas overlooks the Tahuya Valley to my south and is propped on the edge of a deep gullie to the East. Long ago this whole hillside farmed Christmas Trees. Valley Ridge Lookout is a first year clearing up at the top of the plot with no power or water hookups yet, the same for West Perch. Most seem to car camp or tent, even with the round rocky soil. However, if you are in need of power or water tanks filled just let me know, the lower drive area is near my utilities. Pros: -Borders state land, hunter's verify season. -Just broke brush on a trail that connects to the Howell Lake Trail for hiking, biking, motor bike, or horseback year round. Very narrow trail, just cut this year. -Wood for burning, not all sites have a fire ring. Ask, I can arrange things. -Trash free soil, keep it that way please. -Swimming hole at Howell lake is 1 mile via that trail, less then 10min by car. -Great views of Moon and Stars Cons: -1 mile long dirt road can get bumpy at times. -While a very private place, you're going to hear some noise still. Sometime very local target shooting now and then, often at the shooting range 4 km west. Distance road noise from the north during traffic hours, occasional loud car or liter bike buzzing the back road, and single engine planes, sometimes even aerobatic, practicing above. -Gully creates steep(100% Grade or more) drop near edge of camp sites. Please keep a safe distance. Be aware when walking around the east edge at night or you may find yourself 100ft lower in the bush or trees.

A Taste of Whidbey

Take a break from the city and connect with nature by staying at our magical farm property located on the very south end of Whidbey Island, WA (12 minutes from the Clinton ferry dock). You can enjoy such activities as swinging in one of the many hammocks, getting goldfish pedicures, feeding some of the sweet animals, singing with the parrot, doing goat yoga or goagility (don't bother Googling it because it doesn't exist anywhere else), picking fresh fruits and vegetables for dinner you can prepare in our outdoor cabana kitchen, eating s'mores at one of the many firepits, visiting the beautiful flower gardens or simply enjoying the peace and quiet. Wildlife galore including bald and golden eagles, red tail hawks, deer, raccoons, heron and coyotes. Some nights, we have live music in the evening by one of South Whidbey's amazing bands and beer flowing from the taps built into the wall of the cabana. It is just me and an occasional worker operating the property so you may see us weeding, milking goats, feeding farm animals, or watering some of the many gardens. You are encouraged to participate in activities on the farm and children are welcome to do the same. We are 5 minutes from Bailey's Corner Store, Whidbey's best burger joint, which has great music various nights of the week, and Ogres Brewery which also has great entertainment and beer. Langley and Freeland are each 20 minutes away.
