I can provide info on put in/take out spots depending on how long you'd like to float. I have 3 kayaks available for your use, or BYO if you'd like to venture further outside of the property lines. There is one big fire ring for cooking and/or bonfires, along with a large stationary stand up charcoal camp grill. There is also a small communal shed down at camp that contains extra camping supplies, etc.. feel free to use use and put back and or/ contribute to it! :) This spot is close by to Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon State Park, and other nature preserves. More hiking, biking, restaurants, spas, antiquing- all within a beautiful 20 minute drive if you wish to venture out. There is a cabin on the property. I will more often be home than not, I will communicate with you about that around your stay. Sometimes I"ll come down to the river frontage if I drop in for a float .Also, we all get around on four wheelers and UTV's. So you will hear them from time to time. If I am home, please feel free to come up if you have any concerns/questions or to say hi! :) *Please note, you can normally get to this site without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. However, when the river is high it will sometimes flood the low water bridge where it crosses the Cacapon. These sites are extra large and can accommodate multiple family groups, as well as, travel trailers of all sizes up to off-road motorcoaches in site 1. There are no hookups, so just boondocking. Pack it in, Pack it out. Generators are allowed but please be aware of the other sites and direct the noise away. The Lakeside Mountain Stream site is very secluded, nestled between the mountains and the lake. It overlooks our 5-acre lake with mountain views in the background. It's on the opposite side of the lake from the Cedar Sites. This site has its own dock and is just a short walk down a mowed trail to a beautiful section of Passage Creek. An additional seasonal mountain stream can cascade behind the site and run under it to feed the lake when the conditions are right. We absolutely loved this property! Beautiful views, very quiet, CLEAN and peaceful there is a gorgeous lake a short walk from camp site 1. Juan has beautiful horses on his property and they are so peaceful to watch. Water and electric hook up worked great, and our class A fit great and site was level. This location is about 1 mile off the main road we easily navigated down the dirt compacted/gravel road no issues. Again extremely quiet, just nature. Just 14 minutes to downtown Culpeper, charming downtown area, lots of shops, and diners. Walmart, Target, Martins, Lidl, and Lowes are just a few more minutes down the road. Can not recommend this camp enough, you will not be disappointed!

The Butterfly campsite is just beautiful. Great mountain views and plenty of seating to enjoy them. Jennifer was a helpful host who made it a comfortable and easy stay - the tipi tent with air mattress made this feel extra special!

1 acre campsite has a bathhouse with flushing toilet, mini outdoor kitchen, solar outdoor shower, tent pad, table for 8, firepit with grill and horseshoe pit.

Weekend Trip to Shenandoah Valley MTN

My friend and I brought our pups up here for a night and can’t recommend it enough. The site is private, close to a few wineries/breweries, and has great views. Be sure to follow the 4WD guidance - we didn’t have to use it but I can see how rain a day or two before could make for an interesting drive up. The leaves this time of year also made it a bit slick. Overall, the campsite was exactly what we were hoping for and we’ll be back if camping in the area again!

We stayed one night with our two 12 year old girls. They loved kayaking , playing cornhole (from the shed on the property), dancing on the platform and roasting marshmallows. It was so peaceful and can’t wait to visit this site again. This has been our fave camping site yet!

This is the second time that my family and I have stayed at this site. We liked it so much that we brought friends this time! The location is incredible and Greg is an outstanding Camp host. He’s quickly responsive to all of our questions and needs. He absolutely goes above and beyond to make the stay special and especially to find ways to make it really fun for our kids. May daughter loves seeing the resident cats and Greg’s very chill dogs.I also appreciate how flexible he was when some of our plans changed. I will be back to this site many times.

Arrived after dark. The signage was not clear but quickly found a spot (open field) and set up camp. Didn’t download directions to Old Rag but found it quickly with directions from the lodge. Dinner buffet style at the lodge was fantastic. Overall a great camping adventure!!!

Our 1850 log cabin will eventually be restored for guest accommodations.

Perfect location for a family camping trip. Jen is a fantastic hostess with great communication ahead of time. In addition to camping, we got to help feed the animals both mornings and our kids were thrilled. Theres lots of room for them to run wild without worrying of bothering camping neighbors and the site had everything we needed.

The prepaid firewood delivery option made it easy, and then being able to purchase more wood at the site ensured we were warm throughout a chilly weekend. The stars were out in full force yet again, a treat for us city dwellers. Looking forward to our next time back.
