I loved everything about it. Came with 2 kids (age 6 and 10). Spent the night. Enjoyed the wildlife (cows, donkeys and sheep) and the firepit. The house was heated with great facilities as described. Would recommend.

Great spot for us to stay and refresh! We only stayed one night but we were able to use the full hookups to take showers, etc. after being on the road a good while. Peaceful, private spot in a field. Kerwin guided us in and was very friendly and accommodating. Wish we could have stayed longer, definitely recommend.

This is a rustic little spot about 15 minutes off Rt. 460 in central VA. No amenities, so bring everything you will need, but Merritt was responsive and quite hospitable. The land is privately located among a small hardwood tree grove, but has nice pond views to one side and fields on 2 other sides. Merritt and his wife are lovely people and fascinating to talk to.

Crystals property was absolutely amazing. There are plenty of different areas to choose from to set up camp but we opted to stay in the woods closet to the water. It was the perfect place to do some fishing and enjoy the water. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to camp.

I think I may have found the most beautiful, private campsite on water, yet. This is accessible by 2WD. You can camp anywhere from the open grassy field all the way down to the reservoir. They have kayaks and a canoe and many other amenities on property for you to use. I went fishing on a nice day and I didn’t see anyone else anywhere that day. It was incredibly peaceful and I think I had the best sleep I’ve ever had when I’ve been camping. I actually was able to put my tent on the floating dock. I definitely recommend this for anyone who’s looking for a solo trip or to bring your family.

Kerwin and his family saved my son's 16th birthday celebration. We made a reservation for tent style accommodations for the evening but when we arrived, it was FAR from what was advertised. We had to scramble to find somewhere else and Kerwin responded immediately to my almost 8pm request to book and answered his phone when I panic called. (This was literally 10 minutes after I requested to book, and he said he was right in the middle.of texting me back. The RELIEF I felt in that moment is indescribable) Kerwin and family are the sweetest and I cannot explain how grateful I am for their hospitality. The home was immaculate when we arrived and waking up to a field of cows and 2 of the cutest donkeys ive ever seen was amazing. The property, the people, the vibe, the atmosphere- its all perfect! Unfortunately we had to leave before we could meet Kerwin or his other farm animal family members in person,but we will absolutely be back! Maybe even to get married at their stunning wedding venue!!!! 100% perfect. Book it, youll regret it if you dont!

My sister I had an awesome time camping here with my two dogs! It’s so peaceful and secluded, and it was awesome being able to pitch our tent right by the water! I loved fishing off the dock, and the kayaks were such an amazing addition! We had a great time paddling around the lake with the dogs!

Peaceful, private and quiet stay with beautiful views of the lake and farmland!
I enjoyed walking under tall pine trees, on the gravel road and along the lake.
I had access to electric with my extension cord and a bathroom where I camped near their beautiful wedding venue.
Kerwin and his wife showed me to the site, were very welcoming and gracious. They were available for any questions or help I may need.
I camped two nights then came back the following week!

Fabulous stay! Peaceful and very quiet. Beautiful views of meadows with cows out in the pasture, wooded areas and the lake. Gravel roads to walk along part of the lake and the wedding venue. The wedding venue is magical!
Sunsets lit up the sky through the trees with vibrant orange colors. Stars at night and lots of firefly’s. I had access to a shower, toilet and electric to hook up my extension cord.
My stay was restful and peaceful.
