They had to build a land bridge to get to the new home site, so they turned the bridge into a dam and created a beautiful large swimming pond, complete with beach and gazebo. Be happy to give you a tour of the mushroom farm. Learn more about this land: The wooded area is next to my house. There's about 4 acres to explore and a gravel road rarely traveled for a nice walk to a view for a great sunset. Harrisonburg is 5 minutes from here and has lots of night life, micro breweries etc. I have long power cords if you need electric at the campsite. You may hear owls hooting at night. The campsite is under white pines with a thick bed of pine needles. There are several campsites under the red cedar trees that are naturally bug and mosquito resistant. Shenandoah National Park is about 45 minutes away if you go to the 33 entrance and 45 minutes away to go to the Luray entrance. Lots of bears there and hikes to waterfalls. No hunting there. Solar panels provide half of my energy needs. GW National forest has lots of hiking and mt biking and is half an hour away. Great views of the mountains from the campsite area. I'm dedicated to having lots of native plants and trees. I do not spray any pesticides. Plenty of free firewood. Not too far off interstate 81. I give tours of the mushroom farm whenever the weather isn't below freezing. I don't recommend anything larger than a conversion van. Very small pull behind campers are OK . All campers are required to leave every day from 1 to 5. Belongings may be kept here. There is a bathroom inside the house. No showers , please guys relieve yourself behind a tree instead of tying up a bathroom .. Harpine Highway is nearby and does have some trafffic noise but it's not close enough to discourage most campers.

The Lakeside Mountain Stream site is very secluded, nestled between the mountains and the lake. It overlooks our 5-acre lake with mountain views in the background. It's on the opposite side of the lake from the Cedar Sites. This site has its own dock and is just a short walk down a mowed trail to a beautiful section of Passage Creek. An additional seasonal mountain stream can cascade behind the site and run under it to feed the lake when the conditions are right. It's a delicate site, so the accommodations and group size is strictly limited. Check out the reviews and extensive gallery for many options of this amazing property! Locally, the North end of Fort Valley offers many great hiking trails, trout fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding, and the Elizabeth Furnace day-use park. General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things. Camptown is our largest site. It features a large fire pit and a circular field that can accomodate 10 to 15 or more tents. You can also park smaller camper vans, teardrops, etc. in this large area. Good for parties, family reunions. The "# person" per site listing considers adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! By the way, that labryinth entrance is behind the kiosk. It's the largest of it's kind in North America. It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours! 116 acres of forrest, hills and dells. Miles of hiking trails marked and well maintained. A small pond and beautiful labyrinth. Over 50 acres of deep wilderness woods. General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things. Camptown is our largest site. It features a large fire pit and a circular field that can accomodate 10 to 15 or more tents. You can also park smaller camper vans, teardrops, etc. in this large area. Good for parties, family reunions. The "# person" per site listing considers adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! By the way, that labryinth entrance is behind the kiosk. It's the largest of it's kind in North America. It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours! Weekend Trip to The Bluffs at Cedar Creek

A group of four of us stayed at this campsite over the past weekend and had such a wonderful experience! The entire area was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The porta-potties were pretty clean, and there were a good number of them stationed out by the front. Firewood was delivered to us by Levi's daughter which was a nice touch. When she wasn't around, we could easily grab a crate of firewood ourselves near the front and pay by Venmo or cash. The firepit that we had at our campsite was great, tall and had great air flow holes at the bottom and a metal grate we could use for cooking. The provided picnic table was nice and very wide. The campsite felt peaceful when we were sitting by the fire at night. The river near our campsite had a good amount of activity with people coming to fish for trout (which the owner stocks with plenty) which means we didn't have complete privacy during the day. However, our campsite's overall atmosphere made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature. I would absolutely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable outdoor escape. The location is perfect, only about an hour drive from Centreville, VA which makes the camping experience so much better we didn't have to drive far to experience some wonderful outdoors. Lots of sites to see in the area with hiking so we'll definitely be back to do more activities.

Amazing!! The site was private and there was a fire pit which was great! The bathroom was easy to get to and had everything you could need! The property was so beautiful and we loved looking at the horses and donkeys!!

This site is named after the wooden table it has bear claw marks on it from one of our local black bears who visit occasionally.

The campsite was great for what we needed. Our dog enjoyed walking around the site and meeting the friendly horses. We're very low maintenance so it was a good match for our stay. The stars are super pretty at nighttime and the area is quiet enough to enjoy the camp. The locals were friendly and we felt very safe being here.

Graham's land was beautiful! The site was well maintained, flat and an even space for our truck camping. There was a nice picnic table at each site with a fire box and grate to cook on, all stocked with firewood and even kindling to get started. The river wraps around the sites with giant rocks and a steap forest incline opposite of the site. The hosts were incredibly kind and went far out of their way to help us out. The river was very refreshing (it froze last night) but we still enjoyed the semi polar plunge. It'll be a perfect summer spot with a sandy beach and great rocks to jump off into the water.

He moved us to the spacious #7 campsite at no additional charge, and we never had to talk to another person while we were camping. Overall a decent stay. The staff at the brewery were confused about check in but we got it sorted out. It was in the colder season so we had a lot of privacy which was really nice. We enjoyed the ability to hang at the brewery/vineyard with other campers and we appreciated bathrooms available after hours. The butter beer and white wine hot apple cider were just what we needed that chilly night. Would stay again but my only complaint was it was hard to find a flat spot to set up. We found a decently flat spot but since we were sleeping directly on a mat on the ground we were shifting/sliding all night- prob would’ve been fine for a RV camper though.

We enjoyed our stay on this property! The archers den campsite felt very private and had plenty of space. We loved the big fire pit with cooking grate.. The three campsites are far enough away from the winery/brewery that you don’t feel like you are camping at public business. Even though they had live music playing and seemed pretty busy we could barely hear anything going on. On the other hand if you wanted to enjoy the festivities it’s just a short walk from the campsites.
