Weekend Trip to Big Dipper Ranch camping - glamping

The perfect find for a relaxing weekend. We had the place to ourselves which meant we could give the dogs a little more leeway off leash than a public campground allows. They loved it. We enjoyed the comfort of the tent - especially during a thunderstorm- and loved watching the catfish swim in the pond. There’s a lot of heart in this space, and it shows.

Camp in comfort in an enchanted forest! Enjoy the RV, 6-burner propane grill, lighting, and all that you see in the following photos!

Have a big group? There's plenty of room around the camper for tents. We also rent out tents, sleeping pads, etc.

Had a lovely stay at the hummingbird camp site at phantom hill. The RV was very well equipped and the area was quite beautiful.

1 night at Traveler's Meadow

Loved the cabin! It has everything you need to enjoy a night outdoors! The cabin had a nice bed with bedding, towels, a mini fridge, and some other small appliances. Bathhouse with a shower is close to the cabin. If you're looking for food in the area I recommend Beards and Broads, it's about 10 minutes away!

We stayed in Moonshine, a little cabin. It was private, small and quaint. Beautiful remote setting on cute farm with animals who could be characters in a storybook. Bed was comfortable and sheets were soft. Highly recommend, if you enjoy this kind of experience!

This was such a lovely place to stay after spending the day in the Shenandoah! We felt immersed in nature, able to listen to the trees and birds, but also felt so cozy in the little cabin. We also got to meet the dogs and goats and help feed the farm birds which was very fun :)

We had a great weekend camping at the Hummingbird site. The camper was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed hiking the trails, painting and hiding rocks, and of course the swing! Thank you for having us!

We had a fantastic stay in the full moon dome! My friend and I had a girls getaway with my dog and this was the perfect spot. Beautiful location and well decorated dome. It was so peaceful in the rain and magical to wake up to the sun and the cows the next day. We would definitely return and highly recommend a stay at the farm! (Bonus for the delicious homemade muffins and scones for breakfast)

Weekend Trip to Warren Ferry Landing

This place was perfect. Just the two of us and the dog. It was exactly what we were looking for - secluded, river front. There’s a ton of room on the lot to spread out and enjoy nature, soak up some sun, hitting some catfish. Host was very responsive and helpful. We definitely plan to return!

The site surrounding the cabin was beautiful. Although we did not end up using it, the fire pit with included cookware looked extremely useful, as well as the bear proof cooler. We were able to stay warm with the provided blankets, and had an amazing time relaxing in the woods. The host is extremely friendly. I would 100% recommend.

Welcome to our small Farm, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison County, Virginia. Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Enjoy an evening under the stars with fireflies and a campfire after a long day hike, fly fishing on one of our beautiful trout steams or touring the local vineyards and breweries. We currently offer one cottage, glamping and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway, it can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm! Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Everyone has access to the river. If you are camping beside the river, please understand that it is a space accessible to all though there is plenty of space between campsites to have privacy. We ask that all pups be leashed, but we leave it up to you if you think your doggo is good off-leash. If your dog is aggressive, this may not be the right fit. Please ensure the two gates you will go through are closed so the donkeys do not get out. Potty: We have an outhouse. We kindly ask that you use it only for #2s and that you place TP in a trash bag. This helps the decomposition process, keeps the smell down... future campers will thank you.
