Queen-sized bed in the back and the couch bed folds to a size slightly smaller than a full mattress, with bedding included. The bus will sleep 3 comfortably, 4 if you really like each other!

Gas stove top. All kitchen utensils included. Kitchen sink with hot water and a 7 gallon jug underneath the sink that you will need to empty if full.
*Bus Bathroom
Composting toilet- for urinating only.
*Main House Full Bathroom
Full bathroom, shower, and laundry. If you are not comfortable with a 150ft walk to use the bathroom facilities, this may not be the ideal booking for you.
*Electricity
Has 2 USB outlets and a standard wall outlet. Try to charge your electronics during the day due to the solar panels, and do not use the wall outlet at night. Wifi is available.

A/C unit for summer. Diesel heater and wood stove for winter.

Large charcoal grill (charcoal not provided). There is plenty of firewood to collect in the woods. Look for the gnomes and follow the trail from the campsite to the creek. Feel free to check out and feed our chickens!

All pets are welcome! We do have a dog who is not able to access the camp area. Keep your dog on a leash unless able to come when called.

You will need to drive on a dirt road and over small roots to access the school bus. Cars are able to access the bus without difficulty. Parking at the front of the bus.

Wi-Fi is limited even with Starlink RV system. Guest will have the Wi-Fi password inside the dome upon arrival. T-Mobile, Verizon, and other networks have limited reception so plan ahead as we are an off the grid experience. Disconnecting is part of the adventure!
Each guest will have access to private parking area and wooded walkway, dome, deck area, fire pit, barbeque grill, hammock, and 3-acre pasture with pond.
Entrance codes will be shared to guests on the day arrival.
Guests will receive entrance codes for the private parking pad, gate after walking bridge, and dome red door.
Once you park in the private gravel parking area, guest can use our cart to haul all your glamping getaway items from the parking area through the wooded entrance and pasture to the dome. The dome is approximately 500ft away from the private parking area.

This was a very well thought out cabin with many conveniences—from plenty of hooks to remotes for the lights to a guest Netflix subscription. It was very quiet on the property. The porch is a fantastic place to relax. The upstairs can get warm even with the HVAC but there are two fans that keep it comfortable. There is also a door with a screen you can leave open in the loft. I would definitely stay here again. Also, the host is extremely responsive.

My partner and I had such an amazing 2 night trip. The bed was super comfy and the cabin was really unique with a modern flare, yet warm and cozy inside. I highly recommend using the hot tub at night. It was so amazing sitting in there and looking up at the stars. Our host, Trevor, was wonderful. This was such a cool skoolie! I surprised my son with an "adventure" on our way home from FL. This was a hit! Cozy. Nice land. I saw a family of 11 deer! And my little dog loved the nature walk. Nice warm bathroom at the house. Private, clean and warm.
I think we loved the little wood-burning stove the best! My son (22) slept in the bedroom which was like a quiet cocoon. I slept on the pullout couch which was way bigger than I expected and mostly comfortable. Everything was easy to use, especially with the handy "welcome" booklet. I would definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Shireton
Shireton was the perfect cozy weekend getaway! The handmade touches, props, and themed details made everything feel so enchanted and magical. I also loved that the front door opened right into the sunset (the door itself is gorgeous). We had so much fun doing archery with the on-site bow and arrows, relaxing by the fire, and enjoying the copper tub/shower. Truly a charming, whimsical stay :)

This beautiful piece of the Shire was so peaceful and gave my partner and i a wonderful getaway. We loved the little touches (hobbit garb, Middle Earth tarot cards, Tolkien-inspired pottery, flickering lanterns, etc!) and the beautiful craftsmanship of the whole home. We stayed during a cloudy period so relied on the generator for heat, which worked completely fine and the owner sent helpful instructions for using it ahead of time.

Kerwin and his family saved my son's 16th birthday celebration. We made a reservation for tent style accommodations for the evening but when we arrived, it was FAR from what was advertised. We had to scramble to find somewhere else and Kerwin responded immediately to my almost 8pm request to book and answered his phone when I panic called. (This was literally 10 minutes after I requested to book, and he said he was right in the middle.of texting me back. The RELIEF I felt in that moment is indescribable) Kerwin and family are the sweetest and I cannot explain how grateful I am for their hospitality. The home was immaculate when we arrived and waking up to a field of cows and 2 of the cutest donkeys ive ever seen was amazing. The property, the people, the vibe, the atmosphere- its all perfect! Unfortunately we had to leave before we could meet Kerwin or his other farm animal family members in person,but we will absolutely be back! Maybe even to get married at their stunning wedding venue!!!! 100% perfect. Book it, youll regret it if you dont!

Weekend Trip to Shireton
Shireton was very quiet throughout the stay. It was a surprise to see such amazing craftsmanship and detail that went into the house. The décor was pinpoint accuracy as if you stepped right in to Middle Earth. The bow and arrows provided were spot on accurate hitting the target with every release. We loved the floor plan and setup especially the Murphy bed and door. The huge copper tub is excellent for relaxing bath. Everything was simple and not complicated. The instructions provided were detailed and easy to follow. There were no lights (other than house) to interfere with the stargazing. This is the perfect place to escape from the madness and experience peace and quiet. The house is a short drive from Scottsville, VA which is rich with history. We did visit a few vineyards one of which was Hardware Hills Vineyards approx 20 min away It was a very warm and inviting place from the staff to the two dogs Sam and Lucy.
Overall, I would highly recommend Shireton to anyone that wants to try something different or go on an adventure there and back again. Looking forward to book another trip, maybe during the colder months just because it seems as though I should. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us. Thank you, Jessica and Mat, for not only hosting but more importantly sharing this experience with us. Well done.
