2 nights at Verbena Vista at Dreamland

I loved staying at the tiny house at Dreamland! The bed was very comfortable and the views of the mountains were amazing! It is a cozy spot nestled in the mountains and hills, where one can live close to the land. The cabin itself is an excellent example of comfortable off-grid living in a tiny home. The pond warms up quickly in the morning from direct sun exposure. I saw broad-winged hawks, black-throated blue warblers, yellow-bellied sapsuckers, wood frogs, Eastern newts, and more. Events held at Dreamland are a great opportunity to meet a community of folks interested in nature-based spirituality.

The Riverside Meadow was a perfect picturesque campsite for us! Robbin was so accommodating offering us use of a grill, hose , electric, as well as multiple areas on her property to find a suitable camping options. There is a hill down to the river… but we had no problems with our AWD Toyota Sienna minivan. Delightful experience at her Riverside Meadow!!!

2 nights at Little Log Cabin in Vermont

Susanna’s cabin was wonderful, stocked with games, the coziest wood stove, and an outhouse/port a potty on the property! The perfect place to stay for a weekend away!

This little cabin was the perfect little get-a-way for a couple of days. The sound of the little brook beside the cabin was soothing. It’s located on a dirt road and it was a bit muddy when we visited so I’d recommend something with AWD or 4WD. The wood stove kept the cabin very warm. PK provided the basic essentials for a short stay. I do wish there had been easier access to walk down to the brook but it was still manageable. PK was very quick to response and a great host!

5 nights at Wise Pines

We had a fun time at the treehouse, exploring Woodstock and Quechee region. It was quiet and cozy. We had the place to ourselves pretty much, but Chelsey and John are great hosts. John even helped us with our tire! Not something you'd get at a Holiday Inn ;) Chelsey's book and story about hiking the AT was very inspirational to us. We also enjoyed her yoga class; it relaxed us. The place had everything we needed and was easy to navigate. I'd say it was one of the best places we've stayed on vacation.

Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Trails

We had a great night away at the pine cone cabin! We arrived during a picturesque snow storm that was perfect for snowman building. The cabin took a little while to warm up, but once the wood stove got roaring we were sweating and stayed toasty all night. Wood for the stove was available for purchase on site ($6 a bundle) and we only needed one for the night and morning. The lights and hot plate were great accommodations and made cooking yummy camping meals a breeze. The loft was great. It easily fit our queen sized air mattress with my son’s camping pad on one side, our baby’s travel bassinet on the other and still had lots of room for our bags. Bonus that it is carpeted! We hope to come back again soon!

I just spend two nights at Shrek's cabin and it was just what I needed- easy to get to, yet somehow remote and quiet at the same time! I'm sure it would be even more fun in better weather, but better weather probably means more "visitors" and that's not what I was looking for on this trip.

Camp Forever

Our property offers an Adirondack-style leanto and two tent camping sites for anyone interested in a secluded, quite setting well away from the road and the sounds of civilization. Camping here is laid back, quiet and relaxing. You may see me and my family working on the property or you may have the place all to yourselves. Either way, you will love the experience here as much as we do. Camp Forever is a very special 45 acre property, located within the Adirondack Blue Line. It has been in my family since the early 30's. My grandfather carved a small campground out of the woods that he ran from the early 70's until the mid-80's. Some of my earliest and best childhood memories are from time I spent at the camp. In the mid-80's, my Uncle took Camp Forever over and ran it until around 2014. As a small private campground for over four decades, Camp Forever became a special place for many families from Quebec and from the local area. My family and I recently purchased Camp Forever from my uncle and have by rehabbing the property for the past several years. We built an Adirondack Style leanto here in 2019 and have been cleaning up the campground area for the past two years. While Camp Forever will never become a "campground" again, I am thrilled to once again be able to share this unique property with anyone seeking good times in nature with family and friends. Come see why this place has been so special and important to my family and many others since the 70's and why it will continue to be a place where people can camp forever. Our beef herd, comprised of Black and Red Angus, Hereford and Belted Galways has fluxuated as the market and hay supplies demand. We have a vineyard of Marquette grapes that are so delicious, that we have to race the birds for them in the fall. Our land is quiet, off the beaten path, and brimming with beautiful views of mountains, hills, valleys with winding creeks. This property has seen years of agriculture as a sheep farm, dairy farm and a fence company. We are happy to share this land and our gentle creatures with you. Oma's Cabin -A Quiet Forest Retreat

Learn more about this land:Secluded cabin within walking distance to the Haystack Mtn. hike with 360° views (3 miles round trip, cabin to summit and back). Cabin has a 2-burner propane stove and fully stocked kitchen (pots, utensils, etc). No running water or electricity, but cabin is stocked with 7 gallons of drinking water, plus a rain barrel for wash water. Separate outhouse with a sawdust bucket toilet and bucket shower. Two camp-size mattresses upstairs - bring your own bedding. Woodstove for heat. Fire circle outside for campfires.

Our Regenerative Herb Farm sits on 15-acres of rolling hills full of wildflowers and gardens. We owned an ecological landscape design/build company for 15 years so the gardens, meadows, woodlands and trails are wild with biodiversity and color. The farm is a certified Bee Friendly Farm through the Pollinator Partnership. We give guided tours weekly upon request and discuss the ecological restoration efforts that are underway as well as our 'Seed to Soap' project that is Farm Craft VT. Our Farm Store is open daily from 8-8 and is self-serve. All sites have fire-pits (don't forget to order a firewood bundle), room for a group of 4-6, and views of starry skies. Please Note - none of the campsites are accessible by car. They don't have electricity or air conditioning - yup it's camping, just a wee bit more comfortable. For the complete Farm Craft VT experience, book a guided-farm tour on our website where you can smell the herbs, taste the honey from our hives, learn about how essential oils are distilled, how seed oils are pressed and handcrafted soap is made on site. The Rooney Farm

The Rooney Farm is an 820 acre working organic dairy farm and maple sugarbush in Morristown, VT that has been stewarded by the Rooney family for four generations. We milk a herd of fifty holstein, jersey, guernsey, and ayrshire cows. We are right off the Long Trail, Catamount Trail, and VAST trail systems. We have mountain bike trails on the farm as well as a great swimming hole. We have miles of hiking trails that link up to the Beaver Meadow trail network in the Vermont State Forest as well as Morristown Forest trails. Our camp has two full size beds and sleeps four people. The camp is not winterized: will protect you from wind and snow but not the cold!
