Weekend Trip to Art and Health Chill Camping

Sandy's farm was such an absolute gift. She was a wonderful host. Despite the bad weather she made accommodations to make our experience unforgettable. The wood fired sauna was an absolute highlite of our trip and she had it ready for us when we arrived. She also provided a few options for things to do in the town which enhanced our experience. I will definitely be coming back to Sandy's in the future, and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a weekend get away.

Weekend Trip to Harmony Mountain Farm

This was our second time here and will definitely keep coming back. It’s very private and Cindy is so welcoming and an amazing host. Our favorite part was waking up to the sunrise over the mountains on the porch outside with a cup of coffee. So relaxing and exactly the break we needed from our daily life.

This place is the bees knees! I surprised my wife for her birthday to a week at the cabin and were both blown away! Both Cindy and Bill were fantastic hosts, the property is gorgeous and the fresh produce was quite the added bonus. We plan to return as much as possible

This place is a true gem. If you're looking for a peaceful escape to nature hosted by an incredible farming family, come. The cabin is secluded and the pond, with its amazing wildlife, is yours to enjoy uninhibited. I needed a reconnection to nature and this checked all the boxes, and then some. I'm used to rustic camping so the hot water, shower, fridge, super comfy bed, woodstove, lamps, etc were luxurious in a place that felt like back country camping. Plus, it smells amazing! I can't wait to come back and visit the pond in another season.

Beautiful spot, beautiful scenery, amazing views and a comfortable stay. Sandy was an amazing host, she even came stoped by our site as we were cleaning up and checked out with us with a good luck on travels! 10/10 would recommend!

The Milky Way, fireflies, and beauty surround you as well as the lack of noise and light pollution. Be prepared to be "experience how extraordinary the ordinary is!" Organic Certified veggies, herbs, medicinal s, and edible flowers are available, throughout the season. I have approximately 70 varieties foraged and planted. I am developing a garden of dyeing flowers, as well. Art classes and materials are available, for pottery [ beginner to advanced.] as well as sketching, fabric dyeing, plen air, or making mandalas. I do have leather tools, sewing machines, and stained glass. Bring your project or try a new one. Lots of space in the common barn area for group lesson, or set up a spot and enjoy all by yourself! Cabot has lots to offer for day trips, be it water sports, rail trail on bikes or walking, music, and cultural events, or purchasing fresh milk, beef, eggs, apples, cheese, or homemade breads, all from Cabot. Contra Dance, music from Cabot Arts, or at the Den our local pub, are 2 miles away. The Bread and Puppet, Highland Center for the Arts, Barre Oprah house, art galleries, etc within an hour drive in any direction. A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators. Massage including scar release, and MPS, Cranial Release, energy work with tuning forks and singing bowls are available. Singing bowl concert in the gardens can also happen! Expect the unexpected! Funny to be updating this on a snowy and chilly day, but wanted to let people know we will be spring cleaning those cabins all of April to be ready in May to open up! The weather and temperatures will decide when that is! We look forward to a new year of hosting you! This property overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river has two cabins to choose from, one sleeps two people and the other can accommodate three. The property is such a peaceful spot! We have a rustic outhouse and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 9am. The cabin is outfitted with a comfy bed, fridge, and microwave. We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well! Enjoy a cup of coffee from the Keurig machine in the mornings. Bottled water is included as well. We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you. We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time. So with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river. Don't set an alarm, the loons or geese may wake you first! Listen to the birds and relax! And if luck is with you, you might spot a bald eagle! Want to play with goats? We have them! Fresh eggs are available for sale! Hiking trails are nearby including Groton State Forest, hiking near Willoughby Lake is only about 45 minutes away and is worth the trip! Come experience the green mountains and we are not far from the White mountains of NH.
