Fern Hollow

6 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents80 acres · Waitsfield, VT
Our property is nestled in the foothills of the Mad River Valley, close to the headwaters of the river. The property is composed of wetlands, agricultural meadows, old apple trees, and hardwood forest with 700 feet of elevation. All structures on the property are solar-powered and a rainwater system feeds the sink in the outdoor kitchen. There are a handful of individual camp sites available in the spring, summer and fall, as well as a communal outdoor kitchen with lighting, a fire pit, a stone pizza oven and a sitting/yoga deck. We also offer more of a "glamping" experience in our 14 ft yurt, which comfortably sleeps 2-3 people with wood stove heat and a solar battery for lighting. We love sharing this space with others and offering a rustic forest getaway.

1 site · Tent1 acre · Bristol, VT
Your tent campsites are located on the edge of the town of Bristol offering privacy with convenience. Set up your tents in the woods or on the lawn. There is plenty of room for 4-6 tents depending on tent size. The large sloping lawn is perfect to play games, have a small fire and grill on the mini Weber! The property has an outhouse style toilet, an electrical box for charging cell phones and potable water via a spigot near the outhouse. On site you will find a patio table with five chairs, three Adirondack chairs, a mini Webber grill and fire pit. The entrance is marked by the CAMP flag in the photos, there are solar lights along the fencing, paths, and toilet area. From camp you are 1 mile to Main Street in Bristol, an idyllic small Vermont town with local eateries, shopping, grocery and a town green with a playground that hosts events and has a Monday Farmers Market. You are driving distance from breweries, wineries, hiking, swimming and so much more. Middlebury is a 20 minute drive, Lake Champlain 30 minutes, Burlington 45 minutes. Please only use the fire pit for fires, no fires in the woods. Wood can be purchased at the grocery store and gas station in town, please do not source wood from the property. Please stay on the paths and use the cleared campsite areas in the woods. Some areas are protected for wildlife and/or your safety! The property next door is our home and an airbnb, please respect the guests! There are chickens, a german shepherd and an outdoor cat that live on the property next door. The rooster Roger gets up with the sun, you will likely hear him crow. Our German Shepherd may pay you a visit, he is very friendly. Quiet times: While this site feels remote, you have neighbors. Please observe quiet times from 10 PM - 7 AM. No ragers please (big parties)! There are neighbors on the other side of the fence. These are tent camping sites only, NO RV'S. Peaceful Country Haven

3 sites · RVs, Tents72 acres · New Haven, VT
Dan found this special place back in 1996. We didn’t move on site until 1999 and still haven’t build our dream home. The years were full of raising our four daughters on this beautiful property. The girls had horses, enjoyed snowmobiles, four wheeling, ice skating, kayaking, sliding parties, camping, picking wild berries and playing in the woods. We had a Christmas tree farm and enjoyed sharing the property and horses with our customers. We now enjoy all this with our two grandsons. It seems only right to share what we have been so blessed to enjoy all these years with others. Learn more about this land: Park your RV or pitch your tent and take some time to relax. Take a walk through the woods, take your kayak out on Otter Creek starting at the base of our driveway or relax with a campfire. Visit Blazer or ring the humongous bell, and check out the wildlife. Do you have a dog? Enjoy the freedom of letting it run and play in the small ponds in the woods. You are most likely to hear the train whistle a time or two. Wake up to beautiful sunrise to start your day off right!

Farm Craft Vermont

4 sites · Lodging, Tents15 acres · Shelburne, VT
Our Regenerative Herb Farm sits on 15-acres of rolling hills full of wildflowers and gardens. We owned an ecological landscape design/build company for 15 years so the gardens, meadows, woodlands and trails are wild with biodiversity and color. The farm is a certified Bee Friendly Farm through the Pollinator Partnership. We give guided tours weekly upon request and discuss the ecological restoration efforts that are underway as well as our 'Seed to Soap' project that is Farm Craft VT. Our Farm Store is open daily from 8-8 and is self-serve. All sites have fire-pits (don't forget to order a firewood bundle), room for a group of 6, and views of starry skies. Please Note - none of the campsites are accessible by car. They don't have electricity or air conditioning - yup it's camping, just a wee bit more comfortable. For the complete Farm Craft VT experience, book a guided-farm tour on our website where you can smell the herbs, taste the honey from our hives, learn about how essential oils are distilled, how seed oils are pressed and handcrafted soap is made on site. WE HAVE REPLACED OUR CANVAS TENTS WITH SIMPLE WOODEN CABINS. THEY ACCOMODATE THE SAME SIZE AND NUMBER OF BEDS AS OUR PREVIOUS SITES. PLEASE DISREGARD ANY PHOTOS WITH OUR OLD CANVAS TENTS.
