Boom, easy explanation. Now, on to the good stuff. In Utah, the St. George Field Office manages around 629,000 acres of land in Washington County. The environment out here is pretty dang unique, because it’s situated at the convergence of the Mojave Desert, the Great Basin, and the Colorado Plateau. Some plants and animals can only be found here in this unique area. Because it’s such a one-of-a-kind spot, the recreation opportunities are just as awesome. We're on 7 acres of land (all accomodations are on ~2 acres of the land) in a very rural town but please note, we do have neighbors on both sides- one of which have cows, roosters and horses. We have 3 glamping tents and 1 tiny cabin on-site (all of which are available for booking) along with a few shared spaces amongst guests: 2 covered grilling areas, a centralized fire pit and an indoor bathhouse. We're located at the border of Utah and Arizona in Cane Beds, AZ. It's a very isolated area with 2-3 dining options and a large full-sized grocery store (Bee's Marketplace) less than 10 minutes away! Cane Beds, Arizona has beautiful sandstone formations & attractions such as nearby Water Canyon Trailhead, Gooseberry Mesa and Maxwell Park.
The terrain is very similar to Zion National Park. This region is especially known for hiking, mountain biking and ATV trails.
We're also conveniently located 40 min from Kanab, which is a town full of trails and hikes with a ton of great stops on the way (Paria Townsite, The Toadstools, Wirepass to Buckskin Gulch, The Wave, Grand Staircase Escalante).

Just absolute perfection! Russell's space is awesome, as is he! I stayed for a few nights and with the focus of really staying in the space (vs sightseeing). I felt tucked into a sweet rural little neighborhood, lots of big gardens, (and privacy screens) some horses, cows and roosters around on near by properties. So while you're not way off in the middle of no where, the sounds are gentle, noninvasive, and can't be heard at all inside the cabin cottage. I felt I had enough privacy to use the sauna and outdoor cast iron tub & shower in a bathing suit. So nice having the back patio/sauna & tub area all tucked away in the back with some good privacy and a cute space to sit and hang while also having the front area with fire pit & picnic table. I used both a lot! I could follow the sunshine :) My three big dogs loved staying here too! The fenced in yard was so great and the doggie door was big enough for even my 100lb old girl to get through - it was so thoughtfully designed and convenient! This is silly maybe but I also so appreciate when people have really good plush, soft towels - nailed it! And while I didn't think I'd need it I did end up using the washer n dryer in the little back shed, so that was a cool bonus convenience! The kitchen was stocked, had all the right utensils to cook some various meals for a few days. And Russell was just the best! Responsive, helpful, nonintrusive, and so delightful to chat with when I did get to interact with him. Thank you for the best local getaway! I'll be back!!

From the moment you drive up to this campground you can tell it's different. Gil and Tiffany have done a phenomenal job of making this place a cozy, artsy getaway that truly feels like a destination in and of itself. The shower is hot, the kitchen has everything you need, and the hot tub is perfect after a long day of hiking. Excited to come back in the near future!

Me and my boys loved our surprise stop at Gil & Tiffany's place. So much so that we changed our plans to stay an additional night. As we reflected on highlights from our backpacking adventure out west, Camp Land Before Zion came up multiple times as something we were grateful for that we didnt expect. We made a last minute decision to stay here and they were very accommodating. Lovely RV resort, although we didn’t use the amenities due to spending our time at Zion, they all looked first class. We did use the showers and dog park, both in perfect shape, very clean. This park is the perfect location for visiting Zion, and we also went to Snow Canyon for hiking with our dogs while there.

A truly magical stay! The campground feels like it's in the middle of nowhere with stunning views of the red rock cliffs during the day and phenomenal stars at night. However, a large store and gas station are less than 5 minutes away. I-15 is only about a 45 minute beautiful drive away. The camp vibe is so sweet, funky, natural, colorful, fun and has all the amenities you'd want with comfortable outdoor furniture, little red lights to the sites to preserve the stargazing with no light pollution, heated bathrooms, a well stocked outdoor kitchen, adorable little houses to rent if you don't have a tent or RV. Tiff and Gil are just fabulous. I will absolutely return.

Great weekend away! Everything listed from the site was accurate! Do not go during any rain or if rain is coming! Roads are as described- just take it slow and it's worth it! Bring your own food, water, etc. Port-o-Potties all over and quite clean for outdoor bathrooms!

The WrightvRamch is Spectacular. Scenery is amazing. Access is a rough rd bt worth it. The no light pollution make the Night sky. The Best.

Really spectacular campsite! Road was totally doable in our Toyota rav 4. Gorgeous sunset and was amazing to fall asleep listening to the coyotes howling. Would absolutely stay here again
