Come stay in a beautifully handcrafted cottage set in a rural location amongst red vermillion cliffs. An adobe structure lovingly built and designed with a small footprint featuring a full kitchen stocked with anything you might need, flushing toilet, and shower. Floating above are two sunny lofts for sleeping and lounging. Full access to the fenced in acre lot. Dog friendly. This cottage is located in a small neighborhood surrounded by ranch and public lands. 5 miles from Colorado City, 15 miles to Coral Pink Sand Dunes, 55 miles to Zion NP, 88 miles to Bryce Canyon NP, 100 miles to North Rim Grand Canyon NP. Dark starry skies, bighorn sheep and deer sightings. With an awesome hiking trail just up the road behind the neighborhood with views of the Arizona StripSeasonal hot and cold outdoor shower and bathtub! This adobe cottage is located in a small neighborhood between ranch and public lands sitting at the base of the Vermillion cliffs in northern AZ. 5 miles from Colorado City, 15 miles to Coral Pink Sand Dunes, 50 miles from Zion NP, 100 miles from North Rim Grand Canyon, 88 miles from Bryce Canyon. Dark starry skies, deer and bighorn sheep sightings, with an awesome hiking trail up the mountain just up the road and behind the neighborhood

Magical spot in Northern AZ

Oh man, this place was amazing. Such a beautiful structure, obviously built with love. Also very close to Zion National Park (not dog friendly), and other awesome dog-friendly hikes. I will absolutely be back!!

This cottage was just what we needed for a 4 night stay. It was the perfect location from Zion, Bryce, Marble Canyon, and North Rim. The stars were a beautiful. Plenty of room to cook if wanted, and sleeping arrangements for 2 were great. I wish we would have stay longer, so that we could have enjoyed the cabin more. We were very early risers and late nighters trying to do everything on our list. The view of the rugged terrain was unmatched during sunrise! Would love to go again!

Great little adobe house to use as a basecamp for exploring Zion, Bryce and other parks in the southern Utah/northern Arizona area! Russell was super responaive and great to work with. Area was easy to get to and peaceful. Nice grocery store and gas station within 20 min drive. Had everything we needed to enjoy our stay!

Convenient and comfortable

Very convenient location. We were able to start out early each morning and reach out destination before the parking lots were full at Zion, Bryce, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Older individuals may not be able to get up the ladder to the beds up top. AC worked well. Host is kind and offered lots of recommendations for local hikes. Has everything you need, towels, bedding, cooking utensils, etc. There's a French press for coffee but no coffee maker. There's a small countertop oven but no microwave. These are small issues for the location and low price. Other places we researched didn't have running water or shower/toilets on site. Gypsy Cabin provides a shower (hot water heated by small gas water heater), bathroom, wood stove, dorm-size refrigerator, fire pit, etc. There are a few homes surrounding the cabin but we didn't have any issues with noise or nosey neighbors. Bee's grocery store is close, Dollar General next door to Bee's, coffee shop and wine store are there also. We didn't visit any restaurants and there's no fast fast, but we appreciated this. Coral Pink Sand Dune State Park is very close. At night the amount of stars and lack of light pollution is simply wonderful! Shooting stars are easy to see with the wide expanse this location affords. No bugs, clean linens, convenient location, quiet neighbors, wifi, and the fact that it runs completely off solar power made this a 5⭐ for us.

Russell made everything easy with upfront info and directions to the cottage, and was a reliable, helpful and kind host. The gypsy cottage was amazing, even better than the pictures in real life. There was a ton of care, attention to detail and comforting creativity that gave the cottage a ton of character and warmth. It was spotless, stocked with supplies (ground coffee, spices, clean towels, great books) and added so much to my solo zion adventure. Additionally, i loved the no contact check in/check out, it made the entire process more flexible and effortless. It was quiet and the stars were incredible. Hope to stay here again in the future, thanks russell!

This cottage was such a welcome retreat from the city! The property has a grocery store about 10 minutes so bring your supplies or you can get them there.
