Located in a private gated area on the shores of Kolob Reservoir, Kolob Campground is the premiere location for camping on Kolob Mountain
in the Greater Zion National Park area.
Kolob Campground is located adjacent to the Kolob Reservoir boat ramp and dock, including four acres of private shoreline. Just a few feet from the paved road, nestled in tall aspen, oak,
and pine trees.
Access to potable water is available adjacent to camp, and public restrooms (vault toilets) are only a short walk from camp.
WiFi access is available nearby at Kolob Adventure Rentals/Adventure Beach (3 minute walk). WiFi location and password provided by host upon request. This is an exclusive benefit available to our guests, and the only WiFi available to campers in the area.
Canoe, kayak and SUP
rentals, snacks and beverages are also located nearby.
LP(propane) fires are allowed and LP fire bowls

We are locally owned by a family of 8 and love calling Moab our home. We understand the corporate overtaking that Moab has had in the last 5 years and plan to keep our campground affordably priced and locally owned. We have upgraded the old site plan from 7 RV sites to 55 Full Service RV sites this year. Most sites are pull through but we will have some back-ins. Our new bathhouse has a laundry, women's bathrooms and showers, men's bathrooms and showers, and an ADA compliant family style bathroom.
In addition to the new bathhouse, we have a new office and retail store where we sell souvenirs, RV supplies, snacks, drinks, ice, firewood, and other necessities for guests. We do not currently have propane fill on site.
We know that there are many options to choose from when it comes to staying in Moab. We urge people to support locally owned businesses that help Moab grow and solve problems that exist in our community. Moab is a recreation mecca with something for everyone and our little campground on the south end of the valley puts you within minutes of town, the mountains, and the red deserts around Moab.

Welcome to Capitol Reef Country! Road to the Sun Ranch is located in beautiful Grover, Utah (elev 7,200') along Scenic Highway 12, one of the most scenic drives in the United States. We are a pet friendly RV only campsite. The property is a short 6 mile drive from the quaint town of Torrey, host of the annual Fort Desolation Festival and 15 miles by car from Capitol Reef National Park. Our location provides RV travelers with an ideal base camp for exploring the natural wonders of this region of Southern Utah and the majestic Boulder Mountain. The property consists of mostly pasture land, desert sage, pinyon pine trees and panoramic mountain views. The ranch is surrounded by some of the most amazing scenery anywhere and endless outdoor opportunities! We have a single (self check-in) RV/trailer/van parking area complete with water, power, sewer, WiFi and picnic table. All guests MUST have their own bathroom, clean up after pets and pack out any trash. We are unable to accommodate tent or car camping anywhere on the property unless you are with a group that has a trailer or RV equipped with a bathroom available for use during your stay and no open wood burning fires are permitted at this time. Max trailer length is 28'. Max RV length is 35'. Class A motor homes are not recommended. Livestock enjoy the adjacent pastures during Summer and Fall months typically (June-September). We are a great spot to stay and have onsite a zip line into Lake Elevate, water slide into the pond, adventure island, zipline, kayaking, paddle boarding,
catch and release fishing, and close to all fun in the San Rafael Swell.
20 min or so from three reservoirs for additional fishing,
swimming and motor boating, 30 minutes from the Little Grand Canyon for breathtaking views, hiking and mountain biking, petroglyphs and the San Rafael Swell river to float on, 60 minutes from Goblin Valley, within 60 minutes to multiple slot canyons: Little Wild Horse Canyon, Muddy Creek, The Chute (similar to Zion National Park), Baptist Draw, to name a few.
Mountain fun for rock climbing just up the road in Joe's Valley, hiking, biking, fishing, etc. We would love to have you stay on our little farm while you enjoy the fun of the San Rafael Swell adventures.

The Moab Field Office, administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), takes up 1.8 million acres of gorgeous canyon-riddled lands. Spend your days hunting for natural arches and bridges, exploring mesas, and contemplating how the heck rocks can look so crazy. BLM lands are also fantastic base camps for forays into nearby Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. There are 26 campgrounds, and you can usually find something even on the busiest of weekends (but, if you can swing it, it’s always best to arrive early). River recreation on the Colorado and Green Rivers is another major draw. We LOVED the drive up to the reservoir and the sunset was absolutely amazing. It’s a no frills campground, but gives you good access to some lesser known trail heads.

We loved the secluded set up of each camp site. The solar lights & walking paths were such a nice touch. Honestly this site was the best tent site I’ve been to. Will absolutely camp here again next Zion visit. It is about a 50 minute drive to the park which we really enjoyed not being in close camping quarters with others. The scenery is beautiful with other hiking trails within a 5 minute walk from the camp site. I can’t recommend this place enough for people looking for quiet tent camping with beautiful views.

Kolob is always beautiful! It was also my friends’ first time visiting, and they absolutely loved it. A few things though ; we weren’t informed ahead of time that the General Store was closed, so we had to drive back to town (about 45 minutes each way) to grab some last-minute essentials. Unfortunately, we had to go home a day early because there was construction right in front of our campsite, which really ruined the whole camping experience.
On the bright side, I have AT&T and surprisingly had signal, so I was able to call and update my family.

The campsite was great! The instructions to get there were great, and the campsite was clean and well taken care of. Watch out for tree stumps if you’re sleeping in a tent for site 17, but other than that it was great!

Kolob was a wonderful getaway for my birthday! Was trying to find a campsite close to Zion (that wasnt already booked out) and Kolob had a lot of availability! It was everything I was looking for in the sense of no light polution and getting off the grid, while also maintaining a great level of accomodation and safety! The stars were absolutely stunning! The campground was large and not as much rocks/uneven grounding for the tent. Only downside was the paddleboard/kayak rental was off season, and it would have been so fun but that just means we have to go back in the Summer!

The location of this campground (especially in fall when we went) is beautiful. The sites have a nice amount of privacy between them and are very comfortable. John came around to say hi and check in when we first arrived and was fabulous. Highly recommend staying here - it was our favorite of three campgrounds during our trip!

We had a great time camping here! We had 4 people and 2 dogs (split between two tents), and site 1 was plenty spacious for our group. We were the only campers that weekend, so the whole area was quiet and relaxing.
There is one portable toilet on site (which I could see being less than ideal if the campground is full), and a wagon to help haul your gear to your site. Our site had a picnic table, bench, trash can, and fire pit, and solar powered lights along the paths which was helpful at night.
The dirt road to the campsite is rocky in a few sections but still very doable for smaller cars. Town is only about 10 minutes away, which was nice to pick up extra supplies as needed.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend this campsite!

Beautiful and peaceful setting. Very clear directions and instructions. It was wonderful having full hook-up! And an extra nice surprise to receive a gift of coffee! Thank you! It was close to the parks we wanted to visit and our dog enjoyed some off-leash time with us. We very much enjoyed our stay there and most definitely would stay again.

RV park 15 mins south of Moab right off highway. Easy to access many trails and sights with a short drive. Full hook ups were great, and the bathrooms/shower house was clean (and an added bonus). It was a bit loud being right off of the highway, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay here

Beautiful campground and vast lake right next to the site. Absolutely stunning during fall season and area is very secluded. Would recommend if you enjoy a little more privacy and less noise. Pack layers if you’re planning to visit outside of summer. Gets chilly at night.
