Set among towering cottonwoods above a rare desert spring, Spin Down offers the comfort of a real bed, the adventure of sleeping beneath the stars, and access to one of Moab’s most unusual hidden oases. Inside the tent you’ll find a queen bed dressed in Wet Rock’s signature 100% linen bedding, additional sleeping space for up to four guests, fresh drinking water, lighting, and room to relax after a day exploring canyon country. Outside, the experience becomes something entirely different. Follow illuminated pathways through a spring-fed oasis shaded by mature cottonwoods. Kip was super cool and made us great breakfast. The whole place is really cool w/ pool and hot tub. we camped over the hill from the house. it was very peaceful and beautiful. we had good luck to catch the full moon rise.

We had an amazing experience. The host was so welcoming and friendly. It is a beautiful property with many projects in the works. We can’t wait to come back and see the progress. We are extremely grateful for the time and hospitality we received. Can’t wait for a return trip!

Kits place was private, but we were in his construction site. It was a difficult spot to back into. I have a double cab tundra with a 26 ft trailer. With a little more work Kit could make a nice site, but I wouldn't stay there again as it is. Kit was kind and responsive, but not ready for us when we got there. Even though I had tested with him earlier in the day.

Although we love the vision Kit has for his property the property does not have an operating shower and no door on the bathroom. Breakfast was supposed to be provided. The first morning Kit brought us a store bought burrito and said we could split it. Nothing was provided day 2 we left after 2 nights but had paid for 3.

This place is not ready for stays. False advertising no shower bathroom with no door house under construction. A burrito was handed to us first morning to split between us advertised breakfast. We only stayed 2 nights.

Kit was an absolute amazing host. He welcomed us with warm arms, showed us around the property while educating us on the land. There’s camping that’s a little more secluded out in the desert, and then there’s camping in his beautiful fenced off land. Feels like a little fairy garden. The hot tub was wonderful. One of my favorite parts is the large swing hanging from a tree. He has natural springwater, Koi fish pond, lots of fun little animals. All over an amazing vibe. I’m so thankful to have found this beautiful place, and even more thankful for Kit for making it so special. I will be returning.

Kit’s building something amazing here in Moab … can’t wait to come back. From fresh spring water and the friendly chickens, goat, cats, and dog to the desert views, this is not a Hipcamp to miss. Kit and his crew are super friendly and building something special here on an 1880s homestead. The RV site where we stayed is nicely situated above the main “compound” (which has some cool rooms for rent and tent sites) with its own water and power access … Kit was kind enough to provide us access to the hot tub, which was great after a long day trail running. Note that like many Hipcamps, this one is still being tweaked, so don’t be surprised by some in-progress landscaping or construction.

Kit was very welcoming and helpful, he has a great big plot of land with plenty of secluded sights to choose from. (We stayed in the creek bed) Also take a peak in his back yard for a great experience! I will definitely be coming back!
