We have a peaceful walking path that meanders through the woods. Our campers love to take walks and just rest in the calm and peace among the rustling pines and native timbers.

A Little Piece of Paradise

A little piece of paradise, a rustic country place near the sky to breathe fresh air, hear the birds sing, fish if you like fishing, enough space to walk among the trees and enjoy nature, if you are lucky you will see the deer or wild pigs . 

The property has a house, a cabin and in the middle of the two there is a pool next to a small lake (if Reserve it 3 nights the pool be came exclusive), a barbecue gas grill and tables for a small pool party

The property is outside of the city limits but is close to the city, 15 minutes from walmart. If you have specific questions fill free to text. Wifi upon request.

We have deer during the season, wild hogs, a temporary river, creek, several ponds to fish, area to to ride ATVs, many trees, plus we are working in developing for more activities in the future

E TX Cabin Retreat at Rapha’s Rest

PLEASE READ ALL HOUSE RULES BEFORE BOOKING. Before describing this Destination Retreat, please note we are only set up for very specific sojourners and may not be the best place for you ... (let us know if you have any QUESTIONS @ HOUSE RULES BEFORE BOOKING).   Property and Cabins are ALCOHOL-FREE, TOBACCO-FREE (incl vaping) and PET-FREE, all for liability reasons.

The retreat at RAPHA’s REST offers 5 Cabins and 3 Private Rooms remotely located in the piney woods of East Texas.  It was created especially for time w/Father-God with 42 acres to hike, walk and pray + cozy Cabins or Rooms for sojourners seeking healing REST and RESTORATION before continuing on their journey! 

In addition to 42 acres to explore & your own private deck, relax on large Retreat Center Pool Deck - also perfect for group gatherings when using multiple cabins. A hot tub and fire-pit is perfect for enjoying those cooler evenings.  Multiple yard games including corn-hole, frisbee golf (1 basket), horseshoes, etc! Summer evenings can bring a bat show over the newly dug 2acre pond.

HIKING:  There are 42 tree'd acres to hike, pray, and explore. You will need good shoes for exploring/walking, especially when wet.

POOL:  Open 8am-10pm so BRING SWIM SUITS!!  Kids love it but it was designed around adults:  Pool features Waterfall, Hot Tub, and Tanning ledge.   BEACH TOWELS provided, but you may want to bring a robe/flip flops for walking back to room or cabin.  Please be respectful of other guests sharing.

HOT TUB:  DUE TO RISING COST OF PROPANE, use 1x FREE/day. Each additional use = $15 DONATION.  [Once temperatures drop below 50 degrees, each use $15].  We ask that once you request a time, you arrive at requested time.  After NO SHOW of 10 MINUTES, we have to cut it off.  (We understand delays happen, but you may not be fond of cold showers if propane is depleted!)

We had a great time. Fishing was awesome the land beautiful. Bobbi is great. Nothing negative to say. Planning our next trip already.

Found a beaver & deer skull by the back pond!

We had a blast at Bobbi's cabin - it was extremely peaceful & secluded with lots of land to explore. I did yoga on the deck, read a good book & hiked the acreage while my partner spent a full two days fishing the pond. Even our small dog had the time of his life living it up like a wild little animal. Looking forward to trying the goose egg we were giving. Thanks again for the hospitality & relaxing getaway!!

Such a cozy place to stay, was on my first solo trip and I felt SO safe and the host were the sweetest. They also had a nice heated bathroom to get ready in and a good outdoor kitchen space, great if you van camp!

This little slice of heaven was fantastic!

The tub and the shower were an out-of-body experience. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked! 

We enjoyed daily walks around the acreage, including the pier over the pond with the glass bottom and the sweet ponies who loved pets. 

The floor in the cabin was astounding. Many various materials and colors are beautifully patchworked around the entire cabin. It does make it inaccessible for people with mobility issues (but there aren’t any accessible entrances to the cabin either). 

Gilberto responded quickly and worked hard to make the space very welcoming. 

We will definitely be back and have already suggested it to several friends. 

Sweet Cabin, Life Changing Bathroom

This was a beautiful and scenic stay! The bathroom was warm and toasty, essentials were accessible, friendly and helpful hosts, very adorable Hipcamp experience!

We loved our couple of days at the schoolhouse. It rained one of the 2 days out there, but we had the place all to ourselves since we were there the two days after Christmas.

Home-made picnic tables sprinkled throughout the pine forest for use of anyone staying on the property. That building in the background is the community kitchen/hangout area.

Campsites (you choose the site!) are all nestled in this gorgeous pine forest, in close proximity to the community area - a perfectly manicured lawn, kitchen/hangout area, and fire pit.

Quaint men's and women's restrooms with the cutest custom touches. 

Outdoor kitchen has a great utilitarian sink, and all the tools you need for making a group dinner.

What a well thought out campsite with so many amenities! And an outdoor heater shower!  Luxury! Vicki and her husband were very welcoming and helpful 

We loved tent camping in Music Springs. The way the sunlight pours through the pines was so lovely. The space is kept beautifully and extra special with the bulb lights and well maintained grassy area. The hosts are so kind and accommodating. The bathrooms even have a little heater inside. Overall a peaceful little getaway for our family and we highly recommend this spot. Thanks!

Land Of OZ

Land Of OZ is a place of peace and beauty. If you love the sun shine through the trees and beautiful pond surrounded by nature this is the place for you to come. Active chicken coop and garden. This is where we are now but I would love to have your input while here on how to make it a great place for all to enjoy.

Land of Oz! Sidewalk around one pond with bate fishing and a nice dock to sit and enjoy the surrounding beauty of towering trees. A bit of heaven.  There are several camp sites and room for 5 RV parking  hook up water and electric only. Peace and quite with the beautiful trees and ponds

This was our favorite swing. It had bells that sound like a windchime, and it's next to a garden bed that will probably be really pretty during growing season!

Fruit trees line the sidewalk straight to the spot where we pitched our tent.

You can pitch your tent anywhere you like, but this was our favorite spot. By the pond, surrounded by a creek, tucked into the trees. Felt very secluded, but was still pretty close to the amenities. 

My son enjoyed hunting for dandelions that had gone to seed.

GLORY WATERMELON PATCH

This property was farmed by the Tawakoni Indians hundreds of years ago.We purchased this land as a place to retire,since we have always been entrepreneurs we decided to grow watermelons and this next year we are venturing to do also vegetables. We also donate many many pounds to homeless and orphanages. Contact us for special events.  Close by are the towns of Mt pleasant, Daingerfield and Pittsburg.  All have downtown areas with boutiques, antique and second hand shops to visit.  There are several museums in the area including the Mid America Flight Museum - a private museum of 60 vintage airplanes in flyable condition.  In pittsburg there is the Ezekial aircraft and local history museum.  also within 20 miles are major likes for water sports and sport fishing beyond our own famous "Catfish pond".

Each year our does give birth to singles and twins.  They are wild so you may or may not realize they are there.  We have several wildlife observation locations near feeders.
