Myself and my two young daughters were warmly welcomed by Shellie’s most thoughtful design of her secret hideout amongst the oaks. It was a quick drive from a busy day in Austin where the nature and quiet we’re so needed. Shellie has thought of everything for this amazing getaway. We could have gotten away with not bringing a thing. A quaint treehouse, overlooking a pond, nature all around, two more ponds a short stroll away. Our favorite part, the seclusion. An escape from the busyness and chaos of the world. Being able to cook dinner by the fire, hear the bullfrogs croaking and take a soak in the outdoor tub overlooking the evening. Do yourself a favor and invite the day with a grateful heart while showering in the open air shower. Sun rising, view of robins and chickadees while appreciating the whisper of the oaks all around. At Robins Nest we were explorers. We were artist, we were fisherman. We were silly, we were fun. We lived out every child’s dream, including my own inner child. We were storytellers. There are 25 beautiful acres to enjoy at Son's Geronimo, along with several amenities that make it worth coming anytime of the year! This is a small 6 acre Homestead in Kingsbury TX. Renovating and giving new life to vintage RVS is a passion of mine. We recently came across the RV used in the film Into the Wild. The RV was the home to Rubber Tramps Jan and Rainey who met up with Alexander Supertramp played by Emile Hirsch. When we took the RV into our possession it was in terrible disrepair. The mural was faded from years of sun and the interior had been destroyed by years of decay. At the time of the film release this RV was 23 years old. Today it is 38 years old. We ask that you respect its vintage age when staying in the RV. If you are looking for fancy this isn't it. If you are looking to enjoy a piece of cinematic history and get some peace and quiet then we invite you to go Into the Wild with us here in Kingsbury TX.
