There's hot water and pretty everything you need near the campsite (a short uphill walk, maybe 2min). However, there's no table, lights, or water on the campsite, so to be prepared. The view is great and the toilet and shower are clean!!

Our group really enjoyed their stay at 13 Acres Retreat - we tent camped in the Magic Forest Area which is a few min hike down from the common areas and cabins. It was quiet, peaceful with amenities close by - having hot coffee available was such a bonus! The common area and the sunset deck were very pretty and the heated toilet block was a nice plus. The outdoor shower was great, with properly hot water. And it was a short 10min drive from Reimers Ranch, perfect for short hikes and sport climbing. Highly recommended!

Absolutely everything is what you would expect. This was an oasis hidden in an unexpected place. I came for solitude and a menu for each meal, just to toss is out of the window and explored the eateries within distance (thanks Tamara!). The property is nicely gated and very quiet. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We tent camped right infront of the tubing exit under trees. We easily could load our paddles boards in the river which was great for our dogs as well. You could pick any spot you’d like to camp along the river which was nice. I’d highly recommend!

First thing first, since this is about getaway, this place is not too far from the city, but definitely gets you out from the city. In the middle of nature, you can see deers, lizards, ducks, and lot more. The place is very cute and my wife and I loved being here for 2 nights. The host is very caring, she lives on the site and she helped us with anything she could do to make our stay feel better. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway not too far from Austin, I am planning to come back with my daughter next time.

Wonderful location, beautiful view, peaceful day and night. During our stay the area was hit by historical flooding. Despite this situation being outside of Laura's control, she constantly provided updates regarding weather, the restoration of power, and kept us apprised of road conditions and provided us the best window of time to make our exit and return to home. Fortunately, given the location, we were at an elevation that ensured our safety and piece of mind. I highly recommend a stay at this property and we will definitely be back. P.S. - Note - Laura at Loving Heart Retreats even provided a place to stay at the retreat to a gentleman that was stuck on the mountain due to flooding. This furthers my confidence that this truly is a loving heart operation! Thanks for everything, Laura.

Perfect spot for a little Austin getaway. We brought our dog along and found 3 places nearby that had music, dog parks, and beer! Close to Lake Travis for a day getaway to the lake. We did Jessica Hollis Park. The airstream had everything you could think of. Even a little speaker to take with us to the lake! The bed was comfy and it fit myself and my 6ft partner. Landers was very accommodating. We will definitely be returning for another weekend there.

I LOVED the Bait House! It was just the right size for a getaway with myself and my dog. I think 2 adults max would be comfortable here. It had everything I needed and more. The outdoor shower was a delightful experience. The only downside for me was they have chickens and roosters on the property and I was awoken by the cock-a-doodle-do before dawn every morning. The house was is located near a few parks so we were able to enjoy hiking within 10 minutes from the property. Downtown Marble Falls is also about 10 min away if you want local dining experiences, which I did grab takeout from 2 different restaurants while I was there. Overall it was a nice little getaway and great location!

Includes clean flushable toilets, sinks with running water/hand soap, outdoor showers with hot/cold water (very spacious to put your stuff without getting wet), lots of hammocks and benches. Only downsides are no potable water to use/refill (even though it is marked as "potable water available" on the website), and the primitive campsite is a little farther away (downhill) from parking/toilets. Otherwise, great campsite and includes free yoga/classes, and has a 24/7 mini market with food/coffee (venmo).

About 15 minutes to tube rentals to float the river in San Marcos. The San Marcos outlet malls are a shower trip. An approximate 30 minute trip to Wimberly, TX wineries. There are wildflowers all over the property; especially in the spring time. We have seen deer grazing on the property and some travelers have found fossils and arrowheads (no guarantees of course).
