Jeremy grew up farming upstate NY.  He became a pilot and moved away.  Beckie grew up in Chicago.  She became a flight attendant and a fashion designer.  Beckie and Jeremy married and bought a ranch during the covid epidemic so Jeremy could continue to pursue his ranching dream while Beckie continued designing clothing, furniture, house rehab and home goods in the meantime.  Our homestead store on the property is a combination of Jeremy and Beckie's passion to create.  Our ranch tours offer a glimpse into a day in the life of ranching and Jeremy is very happy to share all the tricks he has learned over his lifetime with anyone curious about where, when, why and how of the food they consume.  Learn more about this land:Vrooman Ranch is a full working cattle ranch on 122 acres in Ladonia, Texas. Camping near Paris guide

Overview

Situated in Lamar County, Paris is just a short drive from lakeside camping escapes. Near Arthur City—just before the Oklahoma border—sits Pat Mayse Lake, a haven for anglers wanting largemouth bass. Public hunting areas here also beckon campers looking for whitetail deer, bobwhite quail, and cottontail rabbits. Stay at an RV campsite that offers easy access to a boat ramp, plus full hookups, pit or flush toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. For more water views, take a one-hour trip south, past Mount Vernon, to Lake Bob Sandlin State Park. Ride through a network of biking trails or stroll along hiking trails that surround the lake, especially the Dogwood and Lakeview loops. Then, find tent camping with minimal facilities amid towering oak woods as well as developed campgrounds and cabin rentals with more comfortable accommodations. There are more private RV parks near Lake Monticello and Lake Cypress Springs with additional amenities like volleyball courts, modern restrooms, speedy wifi, and glamping spots that fit big rigs.
