We are a women-owned, sister-oriented campground and ecovillage retreat. Our off-grid property is designed with growth, creativity, and community in mind, while harboring a deep respect and appreciation for nature and sustainability.
Nestled in the heart of the Ouachita Mountains, just off Highway 59 and beneath the Talahina Drive, the property is an hour south of Ft. Smith, an hr north of Broken Bow, 20 minutes from Runestone State Park, and 10 minutes from the Winding Stair and Ouachita National Forest Welcome Center and trailheads. 10 minutes from the Oklahoma/Arkansas state line.
Our 3.3ac ecovillage is centered around two greenhouses, a small aviary and large outdoor gathering space with a rustic open-sky kitchen and food prep area. A seasonal wetland runs along the front, offering deep moss and lush vegetation, with a wet-weather stream which flows and divides several of the campsites. The clear water and blue-mineral Brushy Creek flanks the rear of the property and offers seasonal swimming and fish-watching opportunities. Guests are welcome to explore and utilize these communal spaces during their stay. We are a women's-retreat.

We loved our stay at Ouachita Outpost RV Park! It was so peaceful, with beautiful views, and such a wonderful escape from our busy city life. The view of the night sky was amazing! Jesse was a fantastic host, and we really appreciated the hospitality. The RV is spacious and very comfortable for our family of 5 + our dog. It was very close to a number of trails. About 45-minutes away from crystal mining in Arkansas. Even the pizza was delicious- we ordered locally and picked up! We would love to come back and enjoy this little piece of heaven!

A perfect hideaway spot in the beautiful forests of OK. Everything was expected and it was great to stay away from all the busy holiday weekend traffic, yet close enough for day trips to Beaver Bend and Hochatown.

We had an incredible time on our trip to Heaven's Gate. We are hikers- not riders- so we weren't sure if it would be a great fit for us but it really was.
The trails out here are gorgeous and the folks are all real welcoming and friendly. Bridgitte, our camp host, was more than accommodating and made the experience even more beautiful than it already was on its own. She makes breakfast on request and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, all delicious (we missed Sunday brunch but heard great things about it). She even brought us her personal microwave from her own home when the one in our cabin sparked and stopped working. Bridgitte is the kind of camp host that makes you want to leave your cabin a little extra clean when you leave.
This is a phenomenal place for all different kinds of people who crave getting out into nature. We loved every bit of the experience and cannot wait to go back; truly worth the drive no matter where you're coming from. Heaven's Gate is a great place for your dog, too- we brought ours and he was just elated the entire time. He loved it just about as much as we did. He will be returning with us in the summer!!

I would love to stay at Misti's campground again! It was beautiful and easy to find a great place to set up camp overlooking the water. I really enjoyed meeting Misti and she was very helpful throughout my trip. She clearly cared deeply that all of her guests had a great experience, and provided all kinds of thoughtful amenities that made the trip even easier! This is a nice primitive camping area. We booked knowing that it is new—we were the first guests, but it was exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of space and choice of shaded areas and open areas. Amanda and her family were great and shout out to her son who built a fire ring and brought some wood. Polite and hard working young man!
