We have always enjoyed camping, scuba diving and travel... anything outdoors. We made a promise that If ever given the chance to share that joy with others we would and make it a great experience. We searched and searched looked at a lot of properties North of the Woodlands, to build our home. On a Saturday morning, my husband told me about a dream of 3 very tall and Magnificent Trees, soaring way up in the sky. A few days later we were walking through the forest looking at a 20 acre tract of land for sale with our realtor, I'm thinking, "oh how would we ever get this cleared, this is a lot of work" Then, up ahead was a clearing and right in the middle were 3 of the tallest, most magnificent Cedar trees. They were perfectly planted standing side by side. We both looked at each other and said," Oh this must be it". The rest is history. We purchased the land in 2015 and sold our home in The Woodlands in 2016... and began to build our dream.Learn more about this land:Perfect for outdoor weddings or reunions. Pack in pack out, no amenities provided. Oil field roads, and off road trails can be explored by hiking or by OHV. We are not responsible for any damages or injuries so please be mindful. No 4 wheelers, UTV’s, or motorcycles. Pets are welcome but must be under control. Fire wood gathering is allowed for camp fires come and enjoy yourself!

We have serene rolling pastures and amazing areas to watch the sunset, the birds, or a few deer (if the weather is right and you are quiet enough). We also have cows, horses, and the cutest donkey you have ever seen.

Quiet natural location away from the busy city. Located on a private access uneven dirt road so a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended. There is a firepit but please burn inside the cinder blocks area and keep it under control (not too big). Do not burn when it is windy. There is plenty of branches and wood to use for the fire pit. Please make sure to completely put fire out when done. There are 6 acres and you are welcome to camp anywhere you like, in the open areas or in the woody areas in the back. We have a RV barn area that can be used for shade, sitting, eating, relaxing, etc. You can use the tables and chairs. There is also a white water container on the table that you can use for washing. There is a 32 gallon trash bucket that you can put trash in but make sure lid is closed when you're done to keep animals out. This site does not have electric power or running water so please plan accordingly. There is currently not a toilet available but I'm planning on building a composting toilet soon. For now, use the natural way and make sure to bury. For security, there is one camera on the property located near the front entrance. It is mainly for monitoring the front entrance area. This site can also be used for long term parking/storing your RV or vehicle but we are not liable for anything that happens. If interested, please contact me or use the app called "Neighbor". The RV barn currently already has a RV inside it so that parking space can't be used. Our long-term plan is to also make the RV available but we would need to install an in ground septic system and electricity first. Disclaimer: The area is located in nature. There could be all kind of animals like deers, insects, and even snakes. We will not be liable for anything that happens on the land so please be careful.

Come visit for there is so much to explore and see here in the country views of Washington on the Brazos. It's a gem you will never forget.

Weekend Trip to 5D RANCH

We had an amazing experience at this campsite! Our group consisted of two families with children ranging from 5 to 11 years old, and the ranch was the perfect size for them. The kids had a blast riding their bikes to the lake, fishing from the boats, and paddling around in the boats. The sunsets over the lake were absolutely stunning, and the overall vibe of the site was everything we hoped for. It felt like we were immersed in the forest, surrounded by trees, which made the experience even more magical. The site itself was spotless, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the rural toilet near Site 12. It was equipped with toilet paper, a light with a sensor, and added a level of comfort we weren't expecting. Even the family dog was friendly and welcoming, which was a nice bonus! Julie’s family made the experience even more special. Everyone was incredibly kind, and we enjoyed chatting with them. Eddie, in particular, shared fascinating stories from his wonderfully adventurous life. We’re already looking forward to returning and exploring other sites! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly camping experience.

This is our second trip to 5D ranch. We brought out a small group of kids to celebrate an 11th birthday. Julie was wonderful in introducing us to her horses. Campsite 22 was perfect for our needs. We will be back!

First solo camping trip and had a great experience. Not just a regular concrete pad with water and electricity but a true outdoor experience. Jody's hideaway was a great spot. Easy to find. Gate has a clear sign on it. Just inside the gate is a mailbox with a nice handrawn map of the property for reference. You're free to camp anywhere, but if you go to the back section where the wooded area is are several spots to camp. Campers are free to explore anywhere and even drive the property, just stay on the perimeter of the hay fields. I definitely recommend this hipcamp.

3 nights at 5D RANCH

The views were beautiful, first morning I heard the rooster crowing and cows mooing, didn’t see either, enjoyed the meet n greet with the horses and ponies! Everyone was super helpful and respectful. The wind blowing in the tall pines and all the birds singing was delightful. Bonus seeing people bring their horses here to ride! Slept 9 hours one night and had a 3 hour nap one day. Just want I needed!! Will definitely be back!!

The spot #1 was exactly how they described it,and Julie was very nice she went above and beyond making us feel comfortable.It was my wife and daughters first time tent camping and they both fell in love with it! Going to be back for sure! Also the fish was great caught a lot of bass and this place is perfect love it!

Me and my girlfriend spent the weekend at site 10 on the ranch. Had an amazing time! Camp was quiet and so were the neighbors. Julie was so helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting the animals! Trust me, it’s worth it. Something about combing a horses mane hahahaha. Stars, lake and quigley the dog were all amazing experiences. Can’t wait for our next weekend there!

We had a great couple of days at 5D Ranch. Julie was very responsive and flexible with our changing plans, suggesting camp sites which would suit our needs. There was lots of privacy and the kids loved the lake and paddle boats. I’d certainly return in the future.

Melanie was an amazing host from the jump. She met with us as soon as we pulled in and told us about all the amenities the campgrounds had. It was a beautiful land with a nice pond in the middle. We fished, star gazed, went on a nice walk, and made a nice fire. It was the perfect getaway for my wife and 2 children. Ages 8 & 3.
