The tent was nice and it's location was even better. Cliff is right outside the tent door overlooking the river.

Had a perfectly peaceful getaway, honestly I’m kicking myself for not booking a longer stay! Perfect for star gazing, had everything we needed and more, the land is beautiful, and the sauna was an added bonus to these chillier nights. Really looking forward to coming back!!

Weekend Trip to Cowboys and Angels RV Park & Cabins
James's wild bill’s cabin was real cozy. The star gazing was great and so was watching some of the wildlife grazing around the property. Speaking of grazing their pizzas are delicious overall it was a great experience would definitely recommend staying overnight!

My husband, dogs, and I stayed in The Hideout and it was the perfect cozy space with everything we needed. Communication was top notch and river access for fishing was a definite perk. We saw plenty of wildlife during our stay as well.

I had the best time with my little family in our very first camping trip here. Everything was well kept the most beautiful views and scenic river. The evem owners checked on us and asked if we needed anything and I had rembered that our kids cot stayed behind and could use an extra one which they graciously brought by for kiddos. We loved the community feeling, yet still with had privacy and the convenient amenities. We will be back again 100%

We enjoyed our weekend at the cozy cottage. The lodging had more than the essential commodities. The location had a had a spectacular views and pristine river which invite one to bask in the moment. Further, Angela was always available and responsive. We will come back some other time

We had a fantastic stay this past weekend in the Apache Tent! The set up inside the tent was roomie and very comfortable. The restroom/shower area were close and clean. They had many welcoming touches through out the site. Hoping I can find a weekend to return with my grandson.

Weekend Trip to North Star Cove
Unique glamping experience, beautifully located with exceptional peace a quite. Facilities are clean, and kept to high standards. Nearby Llano is a welcoming city with historical attractions, also several of the Texas State Parks that are unique and worth visiting. Star gazing was amazing!

Weekend Trip to Magical Lakefront Retreat Property
What a wonderful property! We stayed in the Blue Loft Eco-cabin and loved it! Travis was super helpful with the instructions, accommodations and activities at Living Waters and nearby. Very friendly guests in neighboring lodges and peaceful river atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

I absolutely loved this camper! Private location, very well stocked, and the little deck with the comfy furniture was perfect first thing in the morning. I have watched deer while sipping coffee, lazed on the couch under the umbrella enjoying a nice breeze, and cooled my feet in the river in the late morning. It was the relaxation I needed with just the right amount of space.
Alright TLDR is over so here is the breakdown.
Pros:
~VERY WELL STOCKED for the most part (dishes, tea pots, towels, washcloths, even a outside sink for room to wash dishes, ect.)
~ gas stove (just remember to turn it on)
~ fantastic distance from the river
~ beautiful views (especially nighttime for stargazing)
~ Comfy furniture! Legit wanted to nap outside in good breeze.
~ Privacy! I could only see one cabin unless I went to the main camp grounds.
~ Public area's are also well stocked and taken care of
Cons:
~Only one pot to cook on. There was a griddle as well but I didn't test it. Absolutely would have grilled outside if there wasn't a burn ban.
~ The path to the restrooms wasn't well lit but you're out in nature get a headlamp.
~ One of the showers uses the hooked latch that kept slipping if the door was bumped. There was twine to help hold it in place but please someone get that fixed with a more secure latch.

This was mine and my husband’s second time visiting the Seco Ridge Campgrounds. This year we stayed in the Bunkhaus. Our best friend and my cousin also joined us for the adventure. The Bunkhaus is nothing short of incredible. It’s more of a tiny home with an awesome patio area with fun lighting, games, and luxury lounging. A HUGE storm came in while we were there and the Haus had no leaks, nothing like that- it is a true experience. The interior is gorgeous with drywall and recess lighting. The bed was incredibly comfy. Owners Woody and Elaine were so very accommodating and kind. They got us fresh firewood and even fresh eggs from the ground’s chickens! In the Haus, there’s a microwave and large mini fridge for snacks and the grounds have a communal fire pit, swings, outdoor kitchen, running water, hot showers and toilets- I have to wear orthodics temporarily which makes it difficult for me to walk and Woody and Elaine set up a chemical toilet right outside the door of the Haus for me. INCREDIBLY accommodating. The Seco Ridge campground itself is the only place I have ever seen the Milky Way with the naked eye. I do astronomy photography and I was able to take some incredible photos. My family and I sang karaoke outside up to quiet hours time at 11, and had an overall BLAST! The Haus is air conditioned, heated, and has just the quaintest and most fun ambiance. It is a pleasure every year and we can’t wait to come back again soon! Weekend Trip to Sparrow Bend River Retreat
We had such a lovely stay! The campsite had everything we needed — cookware, fridge, clean showers and bathrooms, and beautiful views all around. We arrived late at night during a storm, so a small light or sign would’ve made finding our way easier, and a wagon for our gear was not available as mentioned. Not taking any points off though — it’s a great, family and dog-friendly spot, and we can’t wait to come back for a longer stay with our dog next time!

3 nights at North Star Cove
We absolutely loved the dome! It was so private and serene. Beautiful views of the sunset in the evening and deer passing by in the morning. The dome itself was clean, well designed, and well appointed (down to the airfryer and adjustable desk with a monitor!). The bed was really comfortable with no shortage of linens and the A/C was nice an powerful! It was a very short drive from Llano, close to Enchanted Rock, and just far enough from Austin to feel like a true getaway. Hands-down an amazing experience!

Where to go
Eastern & Northern Hill Country
If your camping trip through Texas Hill Country has time for an urban stop, put Austin on your list. The state capital marches to the beat of its own drum with the proud motto “Keep Austin Weird.” This marks the eastern edge of Hill Country. Close to town, McKinney Falls State Park is a must see, notable as a popular swimming hole. Pedernales Falls State Park offers views of the Pedernales River and a tumbling waterfall and over 20 miles of trails for mountain biking. Inks Lake State Park offers recreation on land and water. Colorado Bend State Park provides miles of trails and views of a 70-foot waterfall.
Central Hill Country
Central Hill Country centers around San Antonio and areas north. San Antonio is worth a visit, with the Alamo National Historic Landmark and the River Walk being popular stops. Head out to the smaller towns of Fredericksburg and Boerne to find wineries, live music, and unique personalities. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is one of the most popular stops in Hill Country, renowned for the massive granite dome focal point. Climb to the top to take in the views. It offers tent camping and books well in advance. For easy access for tubing the Guadalupe River, check out Guadalupe River State Park, which has four miles of riverfront. Camping sites are available for both tents and RVs with hookups.
Western Hill Country
Western Hill Country gets farther from the urban centers. Bandera and Kerrville are small towns in the region. Located on the Frio River, Garner State Park is one of Hill Country’s most popular camping spots, with hiking trails and swimming holes.
