Amazing campsite and we loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be going again the Only issue was a RV with dogs that would not stop barking constant. Didn’t matter how far you could still hear them.

Beautiful place. Amy was a wonderful host. Easy access to the river for fishing or kayaking.

Went for 3 nights and 2 day.! This place is amazing. The campsite is a great spot! To the north you have you campsite and easy access to creek. To the south you have wide open pasture and herd of Goats! My boys loved camping here. They enjoyed the hammocks we set up between perfectly placed trees. The fishing in the creek!. They caught several LG bass!. 20 minutes to Dinosaur Valley SP. There is a a water spicket available but we brought our own. They have a compost set up for restroom needs. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

2 nights at EcoRich Ranch

Recently stayed for 2 nights here with my dog; I enjoyed it. Definitely seems to have a population of flies around, but very tolerable during my stay. Emory happened to swing by in the morning -- he was very nice. Got some great photos and videos of the land and animals.

3 nights at Little Off Lake House

The hosts were fantastic and the location was great. We had a great time fishing and relaxing in nature.

4 nights at Gypsy Moon Hideaway

I am always grateful for my time here. The surroundings respect nature and the people respect each other. Resources are close, accessible and more than you deserve. It is safe. Minus the threat of nature of course.

Weekend Trip to Arison's Farm Stay

Amy and team are amazing, kind, and generous hosts. We enjoyed the animals, river, & land to roam on. It was a pleasant reprise from the city. We will definitely be back.

What a lovely space to escape from the world! Great hosts, great kids and great space. Very clean. Had everything we needed and more. Jim was entertaining, the dogs are sweeties, and all the goats! Terrific stay

We stayed the weekend for a getaway from life and work. Such a calm and relaxing location. It was nice to lay in the hammock and watch the animals walk around. We enjoyed walks around the property with small trails to walk through. One of our best moments was sitting by the lake at night to star gaze, it was such a beautiful view of all the visible stars. Our 4 legged furry daughter really enjoyed laying on the top floor balcony of the dollhouse to enjoy the entire view. We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Amy for being such an accommodating host. We will definitely 1000% be back!

The experience was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Amy was very accommodating and great with our children in our group. This camp has a wonderful pavilion with lots of seating and activities for the children also. We loved the animals, the quiet, and the area to walk and enjoy. We will definitely recommend this place to others. We look forward to our next visit!!

Clean, easy to access, camping under the trees was perfect. The toilet was easy to use and somehow had no odor. The trickle of the stream made the campsite perfectly peaceful. The camp host was accommodating and responsive. I plan to return

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at John's cabin, and it was the perfect get away for us. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the peaceful sound of nature and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The cabin itself was clean, well-equipped, and well furnished, providing all the comforts of home while still maintaining that rustic charm. We hiked around the property, fished in the lake, and sat around the fire pit at night. John has beautiful land that feels far away from hustle and bustle of our day to day lives. We would highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to get away.

This was our 2nd stay and was wonderful again. Great property. Very peaceful with wonderful hosts.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. The site and overall area were perfect. Our site had a good blend of shade and open space; the fire pit, picnic table, and outdoor toilet in great condition, and the ranch itself was big enough for my kids to go off and explore but not so big I had to worry about them getting lost. We had planty of quiet solitude but were still close to both Glen Rose and Stephenville. Emory is a great host and I would absolutely stay here again.

Well maintained private campsites. Have been twice and love going here !

Stayed at one of the lovely lodging locations by the Brazos river! Good water pressure and hot water. Fridge, AC/heat, hotplate, TV, indoor flush toilet, indoor shower, comfortable bed. Coffee maker present but did not use. Location is managed but owner is nearby. Both people were very accommodating and communication was very good. Price was comparable to motels, but privacy surpassed all!! We were returning from an east-west coast car-camping/nomad road trip. We planned to stay with a friend but they got sick and we needed to find last minute alternative lodging before leaving Texas. We were ahead of the storms coming from the west and south (March 11-16 2025). This site was not only available last minute for us but allowed a one night stay. We booked a few hours away and drove to this lovely location. I only wish I could have booked longer but definitely will save this as a favorite location to return. <3 Word to the wise for all: ALWAYS contact HipCamp hosts prior to booking even if it is an Instant Book. Just like with the other types of “hosted stays” AirBnB, Vrbo, HarvestHosts —Technology is cool but can be flawed. I have stayed at two HipCamps and plan to host my own. Both times the app fell short on some info, but not enough to spoil the experience. Just communicate with the hosts and all will work out!

Located at the end of the road. There is over 20 acres. Some cleared and some still in original woods. Trees, grass and deer everywhere. There is over a quarter mile of Brazos riverfront property although you cannot get to the river on all of it due to it being in its natural state. There is a beach at the main camp that provides easy in and out of the water. the water depth varies with the rainfall but is usually between 2-4 feet deep.

Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. Some places to check out while you are here include Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dinosaur World, Granbury Historic Square, Stephenville Rodeo, Bakers Crossing River Put-In, Oakdale Plunge Pool, and BigRocks Park in Glen Rose. Please no loud noises after 9:00 pm as this is quiet time, out of respect for other campers.

Little Off Lake House

Enjoy a country getaway on private 8 acre lake on 45 acres. A perfect escape from the city with gorgeous sunset views, Texas wildlife and a relaxing comfortable lake house with many amenities. Lake is full of Blue gill, bass, crappie, catfish. Since it's private lake there is no need for fishing license. Guest are welcome to explore most of acreage, pet donkeys, watch wildlife. We have fishing poles, Jon boats, motorized barge available for rent. If needed guests can pitch tents. There is fire pit, gas grill, diving board (when lake is full, as of May water is to low to dive). No food is provided you must bring your own, don't forget your coffee, there is a coffee pot but not coffee. Site is 10 minutes from Stephenville, 3 miles from County Store in Huckabay. Linens, towels provided. Board games, Wii, ping-pong table, outdoor games, trampoline on site. Land owners located across lake and may be on lake or available as needed. GPS should get you here. You will go past Little Off Ranch house, follow road to lake house. Keys will be left out on porch on arrival day. No Wi-Fi or television service at this time. TV is available to use for Wii or DVD/VHS. Large collection of movies available. Pets are welcome as long as they don’t damage home, chase cows, kill chickens or are dangerous to others. There is an extra fee for pets. If children are in, on or near water they should have life jackets on. There are various life jackets and floats available. Fuller's Folly River Ranch

Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage! The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!) Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.
