If you are not prepared to deal with whatever the weather may be, you should consider another option. We encourage guests to research this destination before booking, carefully review our cancellation policy, and consider buying travel insurance to protect against unexpected travel disruptions. The patio is lighted with cafe lights. One of the RV slips is covered, while the other is nestled under a charming burr oak tree. On-site, we also offer a rental cabin. The covered RV slip is equipped with 30 and 50 amps, the other hookup is 50 amp, both have their own water and clean out connections. Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt. *****IF IT RAINS heavily while you are here, please use the paved driveway to exit the property as you may get stuck in the grass at the big double gate.***** Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed. Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Kindly be considerate of noise levels and how it may impact the experience of fellow guests. You may also be sharing amenities such as the grill, deck, outdoor kitchen, and games court. Boulderdash is quite amazing! We usually camp in tent campsites because we have a tiny camper, and we don't like to be among huge RVs. Boulderdash is a quite small campground but the design is great and RVs do not face each other and are not lined up, so everybody has privacy. We stayed for the first two nights in the RV site 3, and for the last night we moved to tent site 1 by the river. The tent campsites are the best for who likes nature. While they don't have water or power at the campsite itself, they have a great outdoor washing area with potable water, electricity and a picnic table. There's a port-a-potty besides the bathrooms on the hilltop. Our campsite had a fire ring, a grill, a great picnic table, and you're steps from the river. Water was pretty low but it was running because there are some springs that feed into it. Everything at Boulderdash is well thought out, the bathrooms are super clean and cute, shower is FANTASTIC! Every picnic table has a flower arrangement and a jar of corn to feed the deer, and a small shop. Wi-fi made camping bearable to our teenage daughter. Also fantastic are the hosts: Carole-Anne is super friendly, and received us with a pumpkin bread that she baked to all campers who were there on thanksgiving. That really set the tone right. She was super accommodating to our requests, and is just an overall nice person. Their dogs and cats are super sweet, as are the deer that come every day to get sone corn. We had a wonderful time!

We had a great time camping here - Janine and Juan are amazing hosts and we loved chatting with them. Our dog had a blast running around with Rocky too!! The view is even better in person and there’s lots to do in the area. Definitely get a burger at the Alamo Springs Cafe down the street and check out Old Tunnel State Park (both are walking distance away). We’ll be back!!

I am a motorcycle enthusiast and traveler whenever possible. My idea is to cater to riders of all kinds, If you have a need and I can help, I will. 19 miles away situated along a one-mile stretch of the spring-fed Blanco River, the small but mighty Blanco State Park is very family-friendly, offering the spectacular Falls Dam, nature trails, fishing, tubing, kayaking, and deep water for a good, refreshing swim. The stocked river is teeming with largemouth and Guadalupe bass, catfish, sunfish, and rainbow trout, and can be an excellent place for beginning anglers (you can even borrow equipment for free). Pedernales Falls State Park is only 35 miles away. Swimming at holes, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and birding are a few of the quintessential outdoor Texan activities visitors enjoy most at Pedernales State Park, located near the area of Texas Hill Country where former President Lyndon B. Johnson grew up. Next to the famed Pedernales River, the park is an hour west of Austin, an hour east of Fredericksburg, and about 20 minutes from downtown Johnson City. Wineries and distilleries are a short drive away in nearby Dripping Springs and Stonewall. Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them.
