1 night at The Charmadillo: Glamping Resort

I can’t say enough good things! The coffee, the tea, the views, the robes, the cozy bed. There was nothing that wasn’t intentional and cared for about this stay. It’s private and remote, but well lit and simple to navigate. There’s much to do in the surrounding areas, such as great breakfast in Camp Verde and amazing steaks and specialty stores in Bandera, Texas Salt Co. was our favorite! I told about 5 people back home how awesome our stay at Charmadillo was, and I hope more people find this gem!

Spot was convenient from Guadalupe River State Park. Host was easy to communicate with and the place was easy to find. The spot was nice and private.

We loved tent camping at the Charmadillo! The peacefulness and amenities were incredible. Pro tip: opt for the google maps directions—Apple Maps took us 30 minutes out of the way originally. Would definitely return and recommend!

I LOVED the Bait House! It was just the right size for a getaway with myself and my dog. I think 2 adults max would be comfortable here. It had everything I needed and more. The outdoor shower was a delightful experience. The only downside for me was they have chickens and roosters on the property and I was awoken by the cock-a-doodle-do before dawn every morning. The house was is located near a few parks so we were able to enjoy hiking within 10 minutes from the property. Downtown Marble Falls is also about 10 min away if you want local dining experiences, which I did grab takeout from 2 different restaurants while I was there. Overall it was a nice little getaway and great location!

I loved the tent areas, they also have cabins and a tipi ⛺️ . It was nice view and the amenities were a great addition to have from the fully equipped kitchen to the pool. I didn’t have a chance to get in the sauna but it’s okay we were there to connect with nature we also saw an armadillo a couple feet’s away.

2 nights at Sparrow Bend River Retreat

Me and my buddy camped out in a tent on the land. For starters I’ve never seen so many deer in one place. We pulled up after dark our second night and was greeted by at least 50 deer such a beautiful sight. Adventured up the creek bare foot and enjoyed the sparrows dancing in the sky. Secure location, clean restrooms, and the outdoor showers were and amazing experience (wash yourself fast lol) the hot water doesn’t last very long when it’s a little colder outside but I’m sure in the summer weather the shower is amazing. I will be booking again in the future.

This place is beautiful and the owners are very kind it had everything we needed a/c restrooms and nice showers, charging stations came in handy sense we stayed 4 days! The river is so clear and beautiful my girlfriend found so many pretty rocks around. The hills in the back ground was a refreshing view to wake Up with, so many deer running around I had so much fun

I loved the site we chose at William’s Ranch. Even though the weather interfered with starting a campfire, we loved the experience. Also wished we had less light pollution for a great stargazing experience but the stars were incredible. Our children enjoyed every minute of it. The port a potty was the cleanest one I have ever seen.

Guests share a pasture with livestock and wildlife. Weather in all its variations is part of camping. If you are not prepared to deal with whatever the weather may be, you should consider another option. Weather conditions are not an acceptable reason for a refund or change of reservation for this campsite. Cellular service is limited here. AT&T provides a good signal in this area. HOWEVER **** SPRINT, VERIZON and T-MOBILE may have “VERY POOR” or “NONEXISTENT” cellular signals at this site. We have neighbors, and although the place is relatively large, and we don't anticipate a problem, there is no guarantee that you will not be bothered by some kind of noise. Likewise, we don’t want our neighbors bothered by any noise coming from you. People live out in the country to enjoy separation of space. Please be considerate of others and keep noise to a minimum. Observe quiet time after 9 pm and before 8 am. The country roads in this area are paved and they are excellent for walking, bicycling and driving. There are “cattle guards” in the roadways. Cattle guards are steel pipe obstacles along a road intended to prevent livestock, such as sheep and cattle from passing out of a fenced area. If you book this property you will be able to check yourself in at the property. The specific location and other check in details will be provided to you on the day of your scheduled arrival, and after housekeeping and campsite make-ready is complete.
