2 acres in the hill country in a small wooded neighborhood. I live in the brick house, have several garages and sheds, etc on property as well. There are also a few honey bee colonies scattered on the property. Open grassy areas as well as tree covered areas. This is a quiet neighborhood and wildlife is abundant. You may hear coyotes and a great horned owl at night. There is a honey bee themed gift shop on site that is regularly open Thu-Sat 10-6 that offers tastings and tours. There is a restroom and small sink area connected to store that is open 24 hrs. There are 2 LONG RV spots up to 45 feet in length BUT, they are back in only and the turn around area is tight if you have a BIG RIG. The 2 camper van sites are (Site 1) 32' and (Site 2) 22'. Ask me if you want to know more! It helps me to approve you more quickly if I know how tall/long your RV is. Especially if you are longer than 24 feet. You can text me info. There is an outdoor shower area near the dark brown tiny house that is a cold water shower only! :) Ask me if you need towels and/or body wash, etc. (I don't mind helping out so you can travel lighter!)

This historic property on the deepest spot of the majestic Blanco River has been in my family for well over 100 years, and 5 generations. The massive 2015 floods destroyed the structure and since then we have been enjoying camping on it, as we have slowly rebuilt the structure. Once ancient native Indian lands, you can scour for arrowheads, fossils, lava rocks (just found this past weekend on the cliff top) and so much more! I have spent my entire 53 years enjoying this property, and am honored to share the tranquil and peaceful retreat of the outdoor space to those discerning campers of the world! Swimming, tubing, kayaking, SUP'ing, floating, cliff climbing, evening camp fires, and so much more await you at 'Our Heritage and Legacy'. There is very intentionally no cable, no internet, no tv. The goal of time at our place of peace is to reconnect with nature, and remind ourselves what really matters. Learn more about this land: Our Heritage and Legacy is a beautiful shaded lawn under a canopy of old oaks that are a few hundred years old and pecan trees. There is a huge privacy wall of bamboo that gives you a sense of absolute privacy, with a cliff on the opposing side to encase you and your loved ones in this majestic retreat.  There is also a pull up/ hook up area for travel trailers and smaller rv's with a 30 amp plug in and a 50 amp plug in. This is on a gorgeous area on the deepest swimming hole of the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas!  OH, and the entire Blanco River in Wimberley is private! There is no river accessible camping available to the public, anywhere in Wimberley!  Has two beautiful docks on the water: one is perfect for morning coffee, wine sipping, fishing, meditating, yoga, with an adjacent access ladder and steps to get in and out of the water, the other has a large bench, steps to the water for entering with water toys, etc, and a rope swing! This property includes a cliff to climb with ropes installed and amazing views of the Blanco river valley east and west from the top! Water toys are available for rent and use as desired/needed (the reservations for such need to be made in advance/or at time of check in, to have available for your use)  : 3 additional kayaks($40/day), 4 tubes($9/day), a SUP ($45/day), along with two other beanbag type chair floats($15/day)-. You may either rent through Hipcamp, in advance, or on site at check in.  There are electrical hookups for rv's/travel trailers (one 20 amp and one 50 amp)- however, all campers whether tent, RV's/Travel trailers will need to bring in your own water supply for your general use, please. (The property is on a rain water collection/purification system, and has very limited water for the overall property use-to have water trucked in to refill the tank is quite expensive. Campers may NOT use the water supply connected to the house- please respect.)  You will have absolute privacy on these 3 acres, with no neighbors, beyond those folks who live across the river on their large pieces of land! The rate is $220/night for up to 4 campers, unless specified otherwise due to a holiday, and each additional camper beyond, $30/pp. This property is not appropriate for children under 12 because of safety concerns with the cliff, the river and the road bisecting the property that leads to the river.  No children under 12 allowed. I am quite firm about this, and I apologize in advance. What makes it an amazing property, a destination for camping and exploring, also makes it a safety risk for younger children. There is an antique fireplace that is from the origins of the property over a century ago on the large outdoor patio and a huge fire pit on the cliff top.  Bundles of wood are available to purchase at $9 each.  Please DO NOT help yourself to our wood piles, we had to pay someone to cut and stack it all- it is not free. We are happy to stock each firepit area with bundles of wood, per your request. You may also purchase a fire starter stick for $8/each. (I did previously supply those, but they kept walking off at the end of each groups stay- thank you for understanding). There is also a full size refrigerator and freezer available for your use during your stay. The overall vibe is absolute peace, serenity, calm, and relaxation. In the evenings, if you are calm, still and quiet-  foxes, and raccoons shall run all around your area, and the foxes are known to eat from your hands. It is simply the best of nature, being there! The famous Blue Hole and Jacobs Well swimming holes along with their respective hiking trails and parks are minutes away, along with the highly regarded Wimberley Zipline being just 5 minutes down the road, too! DO note, to swim at Jacob's Well, Blue Hole or partake in the Zipline experience requires advance online reservations. (there is a secret to getting into the Jacob's Well if you were not able to get reservations, make sure to ask me about, if interested! it has previously always worked for me!)  To hike the trails in either the Jacobs Well County Park,  Mount Baldy, or The Blue Hole Regional park does not require reservations! Have I mentioned the famous Wimberley Glass Works- just a 15 minute drive away! Bring your lawn games, your corn hole, and relax on the sprawling lush zoysia lawn under the evening twinkling lights strung from the oak trees that are hundreds of years old.  The best restaurants are 4-10 minutes away and many wineries, breweries, and distilleries around are also nearby within the community and surrounding area- Wimberley is a destination tourist town and a culinary journey with fantastic shopping, too!! Fantastic bonus to add to a gorgeous location to enjoy in your little slice of heaven, peace and privacy.  Least we not forget, Market Days! The first Saturday of each month, March through December is the famous Market Days. Vendors from all over the state and US come to sell their wares. Over 500 booths!  Please note: This is NOT a commercial campground.

There are wildflowers all over the property; especially in the spring time. We have seen deer grazing on the property and some travelers have found fossils and arrowheads (no guarantees of course). I have spent my entire 53 years enjoying this property, and am honored to share the tranquil and peaceful retreat of the outdoor space to those discerning campers of the world! Swimming, tubing, kayaking, SUP'ing, floating, cliff climbing, evening camp fires, and so much more await you at 'Our Heritage and Legacy'. There is very intentionally no cable, no internet, no tv. The goal of time at our place of peace is to reconnect with nature, and remind ourselves what really matters. Learn more about this land: Our Heritage and Legacy is a beautiful shaded lawn under a canopy of old oaks that are a few hundred years old and pecan trees. There is a huge privacy wall of bamboo that gives you a sense of absolute privacy, with a cliff on the opposing side to encase you and your loved ones in this majestic retreat.  There is also a pull up/ hook up area for travel trailers and smaller rv's with a 30 amp plug in and a 50 amp plug in. This is on a gorgeous area on the deepest swimming hole of the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas!  OH, and the entire Blanco River in Wimberley is private! There is no river accessible camping available to the public, anywhere in Wimberley!  Has two beautiful docks on the water: one is perfect for morning coffee, wine sipping, fishing, meditating, yoga, with an adjacent access ladder and steps to get in and out of the water, the other has a large bench, steps to the water for entering with water toys, etc, and a rope swing! This property includes a cliff to climb with ropes installed and amazing views of the Blanco river valley east and west from the top! Water toys are available for rent and use as desired/needed (the reservations for such need to be made in advance/or at time of check in, to have available for your use)  : 3 additional kayaks($40/day), 4 tubes($9/day), a SUP ($45/day), along with two other beanbag type chair floats($15/day)-. You may either rent through Hipcamp, in advance, or on site at check in.  There are electrical hookups for rv's/travel trailers (one 20 amp and one 50 amp)- however, all campers whether tent, RV's/Travel trailers will need to bring in your own water supply for your general use, please. (The property is on a rain water collection/purification system, and has very limited water for the overall property use-to have water trucked in to refill the tank is quite expensive. Campers may NOT use the water supply connected to the house- please respect.)  You will have absolute privacy on these 3 acres, with no neighbors, beyond those folks who live across the river on their large pieces of land! The rate is $220/night for up to 4 campers, unless specified otherwise due to a holiday, and each additional camper beyond, $30/pp. This property is not appropriate for children under 12 because of safety concerns with the cliff, the river and the road bisecting the property that leads to the river.  No children under 12 allowed. I am quite firm about this, and I apologize in advance. What makes it an amazing property, a destination for camping and exploring, also makes it a safety risk for younger children. There is an antique fireplace that is from the origins of the property over a century ago on the large outdoor patio and a huge fire pit on the cliff top.  Bundles of wood are available to purchase at $9 each.  Please DO NOT help yourself to our wood piles, we had to pay someone to cut and stack it all- it is not free. We are happy to stock each firepit area with bundles of wood, per your request. You may also purchase a fire starter stick for $8/each. (I did previously supply those, but they kept walking off at the end of each groups stay- thank you for understanding). There is also a full size refrigerator and freezer available for your use during your stay. The overall vibe is absolute peace, serenity, calm, and relaxation. In the evenings, if you are calm, still and quiet-  foxes, and raccoons shall run all around your area, and the foxes are known to eat from your hands. It is simply the best of nature, being there! The famous Blue Hole and Jacobs Well swimming holes along with their respective hiking trails and parks are minutes away, along with the highly regarded Wimberley Zipline being just 5 minutes down the road, too! DO note, to swim at Jacob's Well, Blue Hole or partake in the Zipline experience requires advance online reservations. (there is a secret to getting into the Jacob's Well if you were not able to get reservations, make sure to ask me about, if interested! it has previously always worked for me!)  To hike the trails in either the Jacobs Well County Park,  Mount Baldy, or The Blue Hole Regional park does not require reservations! Have I mentioned the famous Wimberley Glass Works- just a 15 minute drive away! Bring your lawn games, your corn hole, and relax on the sprawling lush zoysia lawn under the evening twinkling lights strung from the oak trees that are hundreds of years old.  The best restaurants are 4-10 minutes away and many wineries, breweries, and distilleries around are also nearby within the community and surrounding area- Wimberley is a destination tourist town and a culinary journey with fantastic shopping, too!! Fantastic bonus to add to a gorgeous location to enjoy in your little slice of heaven, peace and privacy.  Least we not forget, Market Days! The first Saturday of each month, March through December is the famous Market Days. Vendors from all over the state and US come to sell their wares. McDonald Farm sits in the historic farming community of Jonah, TX between Georgetown and Taylor on scenic Highway 29. McDonald Farm is named after the patriarch of the family, J.H. Mcdonald, who first acquired the property in 1911. The farm sits on the bank of the San Gabriel River and features a lush canopy of huge pecan trees, sprawling corn fields, prairie, and forest. We are a working farm! We primarily grow corn, but we also have livestock on the property. During daytime hours, you will likely see a variety of farm chores being completed. We offer a self-serve farm stand for our customers with fresh eggs, jelly and even pasture raised chicken - all produced on the farm. We are only 7 miles from the Georgetown, TX historical district and square. Some say it’s the most beautiful town square in all of Texas. Enjoy shopping, dining, and festivals! There is road noise. Highway 29 can be busy at times, despite being a two-lane road. Quiet hours are after 10 pm Sunday - Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday. Access to our river site is included in your camping fee. This secluded hike-to (~ 1-2 minute walk) site is peaceful with limestone cliff views and no visible homes or signs of civilization. The trail head is accessed by a dirt road that winds around our corn field and into the woods, and can be accessed by any vehicle in normal weather conditions. We will provide warning/refunds if the river road becomes 4x4 only. Fishing is allowed with a valid Texas fishing license. There is no overnight camping on the San Gabriel River. All camping is at the main farm area and campers are able to come and go from the river site as they please (day or night!).

Weekend Trip to 3 Dry Wells Ranch
This was our second stay here, and we’re glad we came back. The first trip was about 50% rain, so we wanted to come back and fully enjoy Blasingame Camp. William and the Gray family are super friendly, the property is beautiful and very private, and there’s plenty to keep adults/kids/pup entertained without leaving. Being close to Blanco Square is a big bonus, and the bathroom upgrade since our last visit was much appreciated. Highly recommend — we’ll be back.

William’s land was perfect for a friendsgiving camping trip! Felt super safe and private. Really easy to get to - didn’t see anybody besides our group while we were there but were still close enough to town for anything we needed. Nice trails around the property to explore and we appreciated that you can have firewood at the site upon arrival. Would definitely recommend!

My son and I had a great time camping here! John and Nugget were wonderful hosts - very friendly, welcoming and helpful. John helped guide us to a spot that had enough vertical clearance for our RTT and helped us get our “camp kitchen” setup. It’s a beautiful property - we didn’t get to explore as much as we would have liked because it rained but we will definitely be back!

The location was central at 30+ minutes to wherever I wanted to go: Austin, Wimberley, San Antonio. I enjoyed the private, tree-covered camping spot. I saw bunnies, cats, deer, and all kinds of birds. If you’re a light sleeper or like to sleep in, be sure to bring ear plugs to hear less of the resident rooster. The hosts were caring, communicative, and accommodating, willing to share some of their covered patio when it rained. Thankful for the indoor bathroom facilities with hot water. My AT&T phone signal worked fine.
