What went well? EVERYTHING was better than described or expected. My wife and I were met by Bo (sorry if not the spelling). Smiling from ear to ear and just an overall wonderful person. He helped us take our things to our cabin and described different things that we could do. Everything from a scavenger hunt to harmonica lessons. Beautiful property nestled away from traffic or prying eyes. The cabins are spaced well far apart so you do not feel like others are in your business. I could not believe how well stocked the cabin was. Plenty of blankets, heaters, ceiling fans, air conditioning, cookware, microwave - this was literally the easiest camping experience I've ever had and I'm 55 lol. They also have a fire pit area for each individual cabin to make the experience even nicer. We spent 2 evenings and just had a blast. There are plenty of places to get wonderful food, beverages or any other thing you and your family might need. This is a must stop for camping on a wonderful level. Each cabin also had its own 5 star outhouse and 5 star is the truth! Absolutely cleaner than public restrooms with every necessity. I highly recommend this camping spot!

2 nights at Rebecca Creek Campgrounds and RV Park

We had a wonderful time! The only issue we had was a dog that got loose and then the same dog barking all night or second night. We are already planning a family camping trip at this location in the near future.

Weekend Trip to Sound Ground (fka Reverse Pioneers)

Spot was convenient from Guadalupe River State Park. Host was easy to communicate with and the place was easy to find. The spot was nice and private.

Weekend Trip to Twisted Oaks...

No frills car camping, highly recommended! John’s land is beautiful and has many sites to choose from with flat places for tents, fire ring, tables and chairs. John is friendly and so are his dogs. He’s done a lot of DIY projects like an outdoor shower, bucket flush toilet, disc golf holes (bring your own discs) and has a few campers, a dump truck and other equipment on site that might not feel like pure nature but it didn’t bother me. If you want a true “pristine natural area” look elsewhere but for weekend car campers it’s a great place. Firewood available on site. 15 mins from downtown.

Very well maintained and friendly atmosphere. The communal area came in clutch. Coffee in the morning gives you a brief chance to be social with other campers. The primitive sites are very secluded with the cedar trees surrounding them. Site H is by far the best. Your back is to to a fence and there is a trail connecting to the next site over for a bigger group. Road to the sites is a little rough but it adds to the experience. Overall it’s a great place and definitely worth a return visit.

Weekend Trip to Dot's Spots

We had a great experience at Dot’s Spots! Host was so accommodating for our late night arrival and adjusted our booking to a site that wasn’t as impacted by mud after some rainy weather came through. The location was also terrific as it was close to Pedernales Falls State Park and Wimberly, both which we easily explored in a day. It was the perfect first camping trip with our 18 month old! 10/10 would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Orrasis Ranch

I LOVED the Bait House! It was just the right size for a getaway with myself and my dog. I think 2 adults max would be comfortable here. It had everything I needed and more. The outdoor shower was a delightful experience. The only downside for me was they have chickens and roosters on the property and I was awoken by the cock-a-doodle-do before dawn every morning. The house was is located near a few parks so we were able to enjoy hiking within 10 minutes from the property. Downtown Marble Falls is also about 10 min away if you want local dining experiences, which I did grab takeout from 2 different restaurants while I was there. Overall it was a nice little getaway and great location!

Along with everything you use for camping. Strict about keeping our fur babies on a leach. Be careful with deer the last 2-3 miles before arriving.

Such a wonderful accommodating camping experience! We set up tents and had a perfect walking distance from bathrooms and the community “armadillo shack” that was stocked with cooking tools, gas, charcoal and even freshly made coffee! Loved exploring the property and was an easy/ quick drive to the park. We will definitely go again.

This Tipi resort in New Braunfels, TX offers eight cabins at on a glamping campsite in Texas. From the outside, they look like real Tipis and the interiors are a comfortable and modern cabin with sleeping for up to 6 guests! Each is fully furnished and air-conditioned. They all have a kitchenette with a sink, a small dorm-sized fridge, a 2 burner stove, and a large toaster oven. They also each have a separate private bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower located next to the tipis. Outside, there are individual barbecues, picnic tables, and fire pits serving each cabin. Guests are sure to love their stay at one of the most unique glamping sites New Braunfels has to offer! Tipis 1, 6, and 7 each have two queen-size beds and a modern foldout couch, sleeping up to 6 guests in a large, round room. Tipis 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8 each have three queen-size beds in each Tipi, sleeping up to 6 guests in a large, round room. The Tipis are also perfect to rent one or a few for a small or large group. There are personal BBQ pits and fire pits, outdoor games like pingpong, tetherball, and corn hole, or bring your own! There is a scenic waterfront deck located down our walkable trail, called the Path of Positivity! Everything has been provided to ensure our guests enjoy a wonderful glamping experience!
