1 night at Regency Bridge Park

Beautiful views, fun places to hike, wry historical and you are just a short walk to the lake!! This is one of our favorite places to camp!!

It was a nice quiet campground right next to the suspension bridge. You can easily access the bridge for pictures. Camp also had river access, but it was muddy the day we stayed.

2 nights at Jim Ned River Front Getaway

This is by far our favorite Hipcamp site that we have visited. The host Ted met us and showed us around. What a great host. He is truly a very nice man. The river is beautiful. There are so many different birds and bird sounds. The river is a 20 second walk right behind every RV site. They are only three available sites . This place is very romantic for couples. I would say it’s wonderful for families with children and pets. We did not have children with us, but our dog loved it here. It’s very peaceful and quiet but at the same time full of nature sounds. Without any hesitation I highly recommend this place. They have a nice system where people leave extra bait in a freezer for future guests.

We had the best time at this campground. We arrived before dark- wise choice. Phillip greeted us and showed us our site. What a unique experience camping next to a zoo abandoned in the 30's just 100' away with a trail to Cisco Lake. The limestone outbuildings are impressive. There are trees but we had no problem navigating our 35' TT. This is an authentic experience with an old Texas hill country feel. We wish we had more time to stay and explore the area.

Weekend Trip to Camping at Lake Cisco Rentals

What a nice setting in the woods with walking trails through the old zoo caves, the large pool, and the old park. Pleasantly surprised. Plenty of room for two travel trailers 35’ long. Always a pleasure to come upon a unique out of the way Hipcamp. Many thanks to Johnie and all.

We had a great time here. The camp spot was great, level, spacious, bathroom, shower and firewood. Great views of the lake and everyone was very nice. We are going to come back here!

4 nights at Lake Cisco Campground

We loved the quiet secluded area. We were the only ones there last weekend and it was like having our own little oasis. Very close walk to the lake and the zoo both. The hiking and trails leave straight from the campground. We will go back. Very friendly staff and very easy to work with.

Perfect place for privacy and adventure. Cisco lake is within walking distance of your site. There are only two rv sites. How great is that? Johnnie is a wonder host with a lot of knowledge about this area. There is 30-50 amp with water and sewage. You will need a longer hose for the sewage. The old zoo and trails are really fun taking you back in history. When we arrived, Philip another host was there to greet us and show us around if needed. This area is very secluded and woodsy. We love it so much. We are definitely going to try a once a year trip here. I’m not sure what the guy who wrote the review was talking about when he was saying something about buying meth. There was nothing of that nonsense anywhere. We highly suggest if you like privacy and adventure and a nice family town book this place now. They will have a spot for you. Weekend Trip to Jim Ned River Front Getaway

I was surprised by how remote this location felt but it was perfect for a one night stop over while driving across Texas. I was the only camper at the time so it was very peaceful. The location was beautiful as the sun set and fun to explore the next morning.

We had a wonderful time fishing and relaxing. Definitely will go again. Ted is a fantastic host!

We tent camped at Johnnie's campground and had a great time! Very cool historic area with lots of trails in walking distance. Host was very welcoming and helpful, he even gave us some firewood he had. We went due to the proximity to the abandoned zoo trails in Cisco, and found that a very popular disc golf course (#3 in Texas and Top 100 in the world) was about an hour and a half away. Definitely worth the trip from Dallas and would camp here again.

Not too far off freeway but far enough to enjoy tge quiet and the stars. Phil was very nice and helped me find amenities. Very interesting place to stay; enjoyed nature walk in old zoo area and more. Would be happy to stay again if passing your way! Front gate was plenty wide to get through with my big RV but wider is always better ;) Thank you!

Unique place to discover trails and history. Great way to get out of the city for the weekend. Great hosts.

Absolutely beautiful perfectly manicured landscaped resort campground. The swimming pool was also at a resort quality level. The campground was hilly making the views breathtaking. Everything was so well maintained and clean. Will definitely recommend FireFly campgrounds to family and friends as well as go back there myself.

5 nights at Lake Cisco Campground

Super cool unique spot at the end of a historical dead end road. The history related to the old zoo is cool. If you like exploring abandoned places this should be on your bucket list. RV sites have everything there as advertised.

The campsite is very peaceful. Great location with the Old Zoo Trails located fee outside of the camper. Johnnie was a great host! Would definitely recommend!

3 nights at Lake Cisco Campground

The person maintaining the land was friendly and gave me a good run down of everything. Beautiful stars and fun to explore in the morning.

We had a great getaway here for thanksgiving. Very quiet surrounded by historic ruins of long vacant vacation cabins and the old abandoned zoo. This introduced us to a part of ciscos past that I never knew existed. We stayed in the RV site #2 which had full hookups.

Cisco is home of the Cisco Pie fest. Take a walk downtown to marvel at all the fully restored 1920's buildings. We are 4.5 miles North of Downtown Cisco. There is hiking nearby at The Old Zoo Trails.
