Pastures are mowed three times a year and always look beautiful. There is some
terrain that is rough and the land has not been traveled. Bring machetes and a compass (We are not a rescue team). The land is ready to be loved by our visitors.
The llamas will come to greet you and so will many more things in this wonderful place. We are conveniently located in a secluded area, but just a short drive from many local conveniences.

Spread across 60 heavily treed acres, our property offers RV and tent camping, as well as two fully furnished cabins available for short- or mid-term rental (see photos and booking at heavenlyhavenandhideaways.com). Guests can gather around the large communal firepit, enjoy games like tetherball, volleyball, and horseshoes, or relax in the open field with a frisbee or a couple portable disc golf baskets. Trails wind throughout the property, including a small creek and endless opportunities to explore. The trailhead is located just south of Site A.
We’re conveniently located just a few miles from Tyler State Park, where you can swim, bike, or rent paddleboats, and the Caldwell Zoo, known as one of the best small zoos in Texas. Shopping, museums, and great food are close by, along with unique stops in nearby Lindale—like Miranda Lambert’s Pink Pistol boutique.

Welcome to Texas Safari Camp
Come escape to a heavily wooded 31 acre pristine wildlife habitat. Only one hour east of Dallas but it feels like another world. At the end of a one lane rock road- this is a very secluded property. It is perfect for tent camping groups and individuals, has a very positive vibe and is more peaceful than most state parks. It adjoins a 950 acre wildlife park with 1200 exotic animals. Many can be seen from the road or you can pay to drive through and feed the animals.
Your host is Randall Oliver. He has been organizing group campouts for years and enjoys hosting, bringing people together and inspiring a love of nature, camping and paddling. Everyone is welcome and campers are treated like family. He can teach your kids to kayak and build a camp fire.
You can fish for largemouth bass, cat, crappy and bluegill in the two ponds and swim, paddle kayaks and paddle boards, hike the jungle trail and socialize around the campfires.
There are no designated campsites. You can camp anywhere except between the green building and the front pond. No vehicles are allowed back on the property. Off road wagons are provided to help haul your gear. Front pond camping areas are 30-100 yards from parking area. The rear pond is more secluded but farther from the parking and outhouse. There are four fire pits around the front pond and one next to the rear pond.
The tiny handcrafted Hummingbird Tree House is perched on an elevated deck overlooking the front pond. and features a queen bed, a bed in the loft for two small kids, electricity, lights, fan, hummingbird stained glass windows, screened operable windows and a screened, operable porthole window in the kids loft. The deck has lights, tables and chairs and outdoor table and chairs and a thatch covered umbrella. There is no heat or AC in the tree house. You must bring your own sleeping bags, blankets and pillows. No food, smoking or pets allowed in the tree house.
There is a rustic outhouse with a modern composting toilet, sink, faucet, lights, soap, etc. and a nearby cold water outdoor shower (no privacy), sink, counter and faucet. Use of firepit and grill, kayaks and paddleboards, rod & reels, hammocks, swinging chair and tire swing is included. Firewood can be purchased $1 per stick

If you book for 3 nights or more, the pool will be exclusively yours during your stay. The cabin can also be rented separately if you need additional space.
One of the special features of the main house is a charming atrium inside, where you’ll find a beautiful tree, a relaxing fountain, and some tables perfect for sitting down in the morning to enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee surrounded by nature.
Main House Layout: First Floor: There are two bedrooms with king-sized beds. One of these rooms also has a sofa bed. There's also a TV room with another sofa bed. Additionally, two folding beds are available on this floor.
Second Floor: There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a pop-up trundle bed (equivalent to two full-size beds). In the living room, there's another sofa bed.
The house is set up to comfortably accommodate three couples, each with two children. There’s a gas barbecue grill and outdoor dining tables — perfect for a small family celebration or a quiet evening meal. Some of the most cherished moments at Infinity Paradise happen at night — sitting outside on the deck in the lakeside kiosk (kioske del lago), watching the stars light up the sky or enjoying the glow of a full moon reflected on the water. And in the early morning, nothing beats a peaceful walk while listening to the birds sing — a perfect way to start the day. We're located just outside the city limits, only 15 minutes from Walmart and other conveniences, so you're never far from anything you might need.

Hi! We arrived at the site on a Sunday and stayed 2 days. Once you get past all the RV sites and get to the primitive camping area the road gets very ruff.. You really do have to go like 5 miles an hour…There are only a couple of sites with tree covering and the rest have no shade other than the picnic tables. It’s a really beautiful area with amazing views.. There is one big tree on the left side near the end which is where we were that provides some nice shade. Just make sure you bring something for ants and gnats otherwise they can ruin your whole trip. Sunsets and Sunrises are gorgeous and at night you can literally see every single star in the sky. We were there on a Sunday and Monday and literally were the only campers there the whole time. If possible we suggest booking during the week as we were told it gets pretty crowded on weekends!

Our stay at Golden Curls Ranch was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, Angela and her entire staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Their hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail truly set this place apart.
The accommodations were incredibly quiet, comfortable, and relaxing—the perfect place to unplug and enjoy a peaceful getaway. We also loved how family-friendly the ranch was. Our 11-year-old had an absolute blast and felt included in every part of the experience.
One of the highlights of our trip was the horseback riding right on the ranch. Angela and her staff were extremely knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire experience both safe and incredibly fun. They took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable, and their passion for what they do really shines through.
For everything that was included, the value was outstanding. The price for what we received exceeded our expectations, making this one of the best getaways we’ve had.
We would absolutely recommend Golden Curls Ranch to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly escape with wonderful people and unforgettable experiences. We will definitely be booking another stay in the future and can’t wait to come back!

Texas Safari Camp exceeded every expectation and gave our family the perfect first camping experience. Randall is an incredible host whose customer service is second to none. It's obvious this property is a true passion project for him, and it shows in every detail. He was responsive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making sure we had an amazing stay.
The location is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and hard to believe it's only about 40 minutes from Dallas. We spent our evenings around the campfire making memories, enjoyed the quiet surroundings, and even watched ostriches from the neighboring Zoofari, which was a huge hit with the kids.
Fishing was one of the highlights of our trip. We caught tons of fish, and several kids caught their very first fish, making for unforgettable memories. The free kayaks were a fantastic bonus, and everything was well maintained, with life jackets available in every size for everyone to enjoy the water safely.
The property was spotless, thoughtfully maintained, and surprisingly free of mosquitoes. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with incredible fishing, beautiful scenery, campfires under the stars, free kayaks, and a host who truly cares about his guests, Texas Safari Camp is hard to beat. We left with amazing memories and are already looking forward to coming back. I couldn't recommend it more highly!

Jill communicated with me immediately which was appreciated.
The grounds were lovely and I was pleased to have easy electricity and water at my site.
When I used the bathroom this morning before leaving I was INCREDIBLY impressed with their attention to comfort and coziness for this area that could have been a bare bones port-o-potty. Instead, it was air-conditioned, immaculate space that also had a beautiful sink in it.
I would absolutely go back, as it was easy to get to and very quiet.

Where to go
Dallas
The city sights are just an hour’s drive away, whether you want to catch a Dallas Cowboys game, visit the John F. Kennedy memorial, or get your culture fix in the Arts District. Urban campers have options in Dallas too. Lake Lavon and Lake Ray Hubbard have waterfront campgrounds, swimming beaches, and leafy parks right on the cusp of the city, while RV parks and cabins dot the shores of Lake Lewisville to the north.
East Dallas Lakes
North of Cedar Creek, lake lovers will find plenty of places to get on the water. Check into the lakefront campground at Lake Tawakoni State Park or head to one of the lake’s RV parks with easy access to the boat launches and fishing coves. Nearby, Lake Fork has several marinas and lakeside golf courses, while further north, Sulphur Springs is the gateway to Cooper Lake State Park on the shores of Jim Chapman Lake.
Texas Pineywoods
Vast expanses of rolling woodlands blanket the Texas Piney Woods, where adventurers can hike, mountain bike, rock climb, and zipline through the forest. Miles of hiking trails lead the way through the Davy Crockett, Angelina, and Sabine National Forests, where you can choose between developed campgrounds and backcountry camping or seek out a glamping getaway in the woods.
