A quiet community, we feel Sargent is an oasis away from the crowds and congestion of other beach-side communities. We love taking a break from our busy lives to listen to the waves roaring down the shore. We think you'll love it, too!

This is a 8000 sq ft privately owned, ocean-side lot. Located on a barrier island in Sargent, TX, the site offers a neighborhood atmosphere, with a secluded, unobstructed beach view. There is an approximately 30x30 gravel pad and long driveway. The property is beach front, but dune area/beach may not be accessible by foot (depends on tidal flow, rainfall, Gulf storms etc.). Full beach access is about 1/4 mile down the road.
This is a subdivision--there is a neighbor on our right side.
This is an RV lot only. This property suits smaller to midsize RVs and most wheeled campers (but no ground tents--there is too much ground wildlife for safety, though elevated, vehicle-mounted tents are fine).
The property is still in development. We currently have electricity (110v, 30, 50 amp), water, but NO SEWER OR SEPTIC. You must bring your own toilet facilities with you and take the waste away. NOTE: Public Toilet facilities and trash available 1.5 miles away.
We do provide a picnic table, but it changes often--we lose them in storms, lol. You'll also have a clothes line and a canopy as wind/storms permit.
If you're an introvert, dislike traffic or just like breathing room, you'll love quiet, crowd-free, Sargent beach. It's such a peaceful getaway!

This gorgeous, island property is vulnerable to the extreme weather conditions on the Texas Gulf Coast. It's a dynamic property, shifting and changing, depending on the weather--we try our best to maintain this property in a timely manner, but we can't control this Mother Nature factor! There may be times we cannot put up the shade canopy due to high winds, other aspects of the property may have shifted, there may not be a beach due to high tides, you may not be able to walk to the beach from the property, etc. Please ask questions and we'll communicate what's available at your booking time. Our strict cancellation policy encourages good communication at time of booking.

Private lot on the Gulf of Mexico in Sargent, Texas. Just walk across the foot path to the Gulf of Mexico. Full RV Hookups - water, electrical (50A/30A/20A), and sewage. 70+ feet of concrete pad and driveway inside the fenced yard with plenty of space for all RVs.
The property is fully fenced. The entrance gate is 16' wide. The yard is all St. Augustine grass. Very clean and maintained. Pets are welcome.
This property is tailored for RVs, 5th Wheels, Travel Trailers, and Motorhomes that have black and grey tanks and can hold their waste water (shower, toilet, and washing) for dumping into the on-site water treatment unit. You must have your own shower, sinks, and toilet on your rig with holding tanks for black and grey water and the ability to dump into the dump location on the property. The property is not designed for tent campers.
The electrical and sewage hookups are on the left side of the property. Motorhomes (Class A, Pushers, and Class C RVs can pull directly into the space with hookups in the usual location. 5th wheels, travel trailers, and campers that are pulled by a vehicle will need to back into the space as there is no room in the front of the property to drive in, unhook your vehicle, and drive the vehicle off the slab. When you back in, the hookups will be on the the opposite side of your connections. Depending upon your travel trailer and where you place your travel trailer on the slab, you may need electrical or sewage extensions to reach the connections.
The vast majority of the renters who use the property used a 5th wheel, travel trailer or camper that is pulled by a vehicle.
The pictures of the property show a line of granite blocks between the property and the beach. The granite forms a seawall (called the revetment wall) that was installed by the Corp of Engineers and prevents beach erosion. Depending on the tides, sometimes the Gulf waters hit the wall and there is very little beach area in front of the property. Sometimes, there is a large beach area. If the water is against the seawall and you’re looking for beach area, there are several beach entrances along Canal Drive within driving and walking distance.

Our camping spots are not close together like a regular campground, but you will be able to see and possible hear your neighbors when outside. The sunsets are stunning and there was plenty of space for our dog run. It's private, away from the residences on the property. Aislynn was very accommodating and helpful! Fun to walk around the farm, and the common use building (screened kitchen, dining, living room) was very nice!

The Nauti Pelican spot was top notch, 5 star, absolutely recommend. The place was easy to find, close to everything and 2 blocks from the beach. We absolutely loved our time here and would love to come back someday! Thanks Mike!

Totally will be staying here again! Jim is great with his communication to include the mosquito density. All but one day was breezy so they were only an issue toward sundown.
The lot is mowed regularly and all the hook-ups worked as they should.
We will booking again in the near future!

Place is very well maintained. Clean and with good hookups. The fence was great for our dogs so they could run and play. A good kind of isolated.
James provided us with good info and things to take into account. He made us aware of the mosquitos, which is something to plan for and know when and where be outside. The weather while we were at the camp was chilly so we were able to enjoy mornings and late evenings without worrying too much about them. If you are visiting plan ahead - shelter, permethrin, wondercide, citronella and protection for your dogs and yourself.
We will certainly be coming back.

Came on Labor Day weekend, so I was expecting it to be crowded. It wasn’t. Not like Galveston or Corpus. Nice, peaceful, seaside town. This property has one side on the intercoastal waterway, the other is the beach. Great for fishing or beach combing. The road in is sand/gravel/shells. It has some potholes from the weather, but 2wd can make it. Just go slow. Property was well kept - clean and mowed. I know the description says the host will be there upon arrival, but they weren’t. But, everything was self evident. Host did respond quickly to my message. There is water, 20/30/50 electric, and sewer. There is a trash bin. The pads are pretty wide, enough room to have your lawn chairs/table etc. next to RV. The pads, though, are pretty close to each other. They are very flat. Bring your mosquito and ant repellent. There’s a small Texaco station on the mainland for gas and such. There’s a BBQ stand about a couple miles inland, and the largest restaurant, The Crab Trap, about 8 miles inland. If you are familiar with driving on the sand and have a capable vehicle, you can drive right out there and go quite a ways. A lot or two over is a mooring park that boats will pull up to rest. There’s not any shade so if this is something you desire, be sure to prepare accordingly. There’s lots of frogs at night, but they aren’t loud. I’ll post a review video in a week or so on YT at Camp Check.

Moss Island was perfect. It was peaceful and very clean. I read previous comments before booking. The ants and mosquitos were minimal. The beach is literally right across the road. We just walked the beach some, it was not crowded and you could fish in the surf. The sites were clean and concrete slabs were nice. There was a large grass area, we were able to set up our chairs, tent, and poles. We caught a variety of fish and an eel. We also had fun crabbing. It was cool looking at all the big barges in the waterway . The only issue we had was the heat, but that is expected in August in Texas. We will definitely book again when it cools off some!

Full hookups right next to the beach, can't beat that! Sunrise on the beach and sunset over the canal. This beach is more remote than Galveston so it's a lot less busy.
Lots of birds to watch, especially the pelicans.
The barges in the canal right behind us were fascinating to watch. The noise might get annoying after a while but for 3 days it was still interesting.

Cute place! Small space under a Mesquite tree provides some shade for your tent (don’t bring a big tent). On the adjacent property there were some cattle nearby and we had the pleasure of watching them take a swim in a small pond. My daughter loved the Longhorn on the property and the chicken coop. Nice little farm great for novice campers.
