We spent a few nights at the campsite while we explored the OHV trails and downhill mountain bike course at Windrock. The thought of tent camping in one of the huge gravel parking lots surrounded by throngs of people and the rattle of RV generators at one of the large campgrounds in the area held no appeal. This spot was peaceful and quiet, just what we were looking for. Extra bonus points for the burbling creek, the amazing assortment of birds that flew around us in the mornings, and quick and easy access to the trails. No conveniences at the site but $3.00 will buy you a shower at the Windrock Campground, and possibly other campgrounds around.

Great spot! Brian was a good host, very easy. Right on the river, tons of great stuff to do in the area. Neighbors dogs were chatting day and night but not a big deal😂 Would definitely camp here again!

Dirk our host was very accommodating. We felt very safe and secure on site. We really appreciated all the communal amenities like the grill, hot tub, fire pit. Being able to bring pets with no additional al charge, also a big plus. Each teepee rental receives their OWN bathroom (away from the teepee) and each teepee has a mini fridge and air conditioning!! Dirk mentioned they might switch them out for heaters in the cold months. Also not mentioned in the listing, there is a stocked pond on site with small mouth and crappie.
Special tip, the chilhowee recreation area can be reached in LESS than 20 min via Benton Springs road, which is a mildly adventurous, low speed gravel switchback mountain road. Any vehicle should be fine in dry conditions with minimal clearance.

We had a great time! Loved reading and listening to the sound of the creek and warming up by the fire. Our host was so incredibly kind and helpful. Having the bath house so close was SO nice and the store as well! The only service that works out there is AT&T so be mindful if you’re needing to stay connected. The site was right down the road from some absolutely breathtaking views and gorgeous rapids. We can’t wait to come back!

We were switched to Site 1. What a beautiful property! The store is a huge convenience, bathhouse was great and we had plenty of room. The small creek lulled us to sleep each night.

This place was the best of both worlds! Close enough to basic things you may need like a gas station right down the road, coffee shop, and ice cream shop right across the street. But secluded enough to feel away from the world. Cars passed by down the road all night of course but we had our sound machine and ear plugs so there were no issues there. The neighbors dog was left out all night one night and did bark for hours, which of course is no fault of Brian’s. The next night the dog wasn’t left outside so much better sleep! Just be mindful if you do have reactive dogs, Brian was kind enough to warn us before we came and we had no issues since the neighbors dogs all stay on their own property. We cherished our time here and will absolutely be booking again soon!!

We really loved this place!!! Only complaint would be the dog that’s tied up to the towers next door at the white house barked the entire night so being a tent camper… 😬 but if you don’t mind that it really is a place I would recommend!

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share our awesome experience at Riverside Tent & RV! My friend and I took our campers there for four nights, and it was perfect. The location is super convenient – right in the middle of everything, so we could easily hit up all the cool spots nearby.
We spent a bunch of time fishing in the Ocoee River – such a relaxing way to spend a day! And of course, we did some sightseeing too. Brian, our host, was fantastic – so helpful and gave us tons of great tips on things to do.
Seriously, if you're planning a fun-filled weekend with river rafting, fishing, or just exploring the area, you HAVE to check out Riverside Tent & RV. We had a blast!

Brian’s land is a hidden treat within close proximity to the mountains, hiking and the river! The amenities were nice and we loved being on the water! We hiked the area close by and while it rained during our stay, we also snuck into Blue Ridge to do some indoor activities. Small note that the neighbor’s dog barked at us most of the time from far away, it was not a big deal for us but just a heads up in case you have reactive dogs.

Brian is a great Host and is very accommodating! The spot is nice, clean, and right on the river. It is close to gas stations, restaurants, kayaking, white water rafting, and near other scenic trails, hiking, and roadside views.

Wonderfully shaded site with access to the river. They have a grill and a table with umbrella as well as a porta potty they keep clean and maintained. Close to Sugarloaf park which has bathrooms, playground and water access as well. No electric and no water, but totally worth it!

Dirk was a fantastic host! The site has a great set-up:
- Each Teepee has it’s own bathroom & shower
- Teepee’s equip with surge protector outlets, AC unit, fan, and light
- Gas and charcoal grill work great
- Hot tub seemed to work, but we didn’t use it
The spot is so easy to find, and Dirk met us as soon as we got there to show us around. He was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is nice and tucked away, so we felt secluded and safe. We were the only Teepee rented the nights we were there, but they seem far enough apart to not hear ovcupants of the other 2.
The TeePee definitely got toasty from about 11 A.M. to sunset, but cooled off nicely as the sun went down. Sleeping temps were perfect (actually too cold so we turned the AC down in the night). Bed was comfortable as well.
My girlfriend had never been camping so I choose this spot with it’s amenities, and we both had a great time! Both the Ocoee and Hiwasse were awesome!

Lovely spot, and as advertised.
Tricky to find, as the street numbering seems 'wrong' and when I went there was no sign. Helpful and friendly neighbor pointed me the right way.
A 4WD vehicle is likely necessary to get there, especially if it's been raining.
