Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Twin Valley Horse Ranch and Bed & Breakfast is such a delightful place! This is our second visit, and we truly appreciate how Janice has created a warm and welcoming environment that is also dog-friendly. Finding spots that welcome us and our furry friends can be tough, so we’re grateful for this special place. Luke’s Cabin is cozy and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need. We also love that here, you can disconnect and enjoy the tranquility without Wi-Fi. It’s a perfect home base for exploring the beautiful Smokey Mountains and nearby attractions, especially Dollywood, which is just about a 30-minute drive away. Whether you want to fill your days with adventures or simply relax by the lake or fire pit and spend time with the animals, there’s plenty to enjoy. We recommend all of Janice’s wonderful facilities, but our personal favorite is Luke’s Cabin.

Super sweet quiet spot - very convenient to everything we needed in Knoxville. Lots of wild blackberries that were ripe when we visited so the kids picked some and made some jam. Creek was teeming with crayfish and minnows so kids were entertained. Hosts were great communicators via text and portolet was kept clean over our stay.

This site had all the accommodations needed to make camping in a tent comfortable. It was a walk to site set up but the walk from the parking lot to the pad isn't bad. My kids loved the pool. The showers were clean and if you've been out as long as we've been, the laundry room was the cherry on top. You're definitely lately going to see bears in the Smokys, especially if you cook food. Be sure to pack bear mace just in case...

I loved tent camping here. It was so beautiful and very affordable. There is one porta potty on site and can be a walk depending which site you stay at. No showers unfortunately but we made due with our own camping shower. I stayed at sites 5 and 6 and the only downside is when it rains it flooded alot due to the dips in the ground but otherwise a great place. Although communication was minimal, whenever i had a question Kat got back to me very quickly.

I loved it here I’ve got an almost two year old daughter and it was me her my husband my mom and his mom all out for an outing to get away and it was way better than I ever could have expected it was beautiful peaceful and the comfort of a fire and enjoying the wild and all the nature and my kid absolutely loved the little creek and all the critters it was the best place we’ve been to for camping we definitely will come back!

Wide open grassy spaces for dogs and kids to run, and the river at the back of the property provides the perfect setting for a quiet morning coffee or an afternoon cool down. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves which meant lots of quiet river time. Spots were level and the place was clean! Do come prepared to pack out your trash however

We loved camping at Low Meadow Farms! So many great things! To start with, we stayed at campsite 11 which was tucked back in the trees right next to a creek. There was a spot to hang a hammock by the creek and plenty of room for a couple of tents. The bathrooms were the cleanest outside bathrooms I have ever used. There was not a grate on the fire ring so we had to modify our planned meals a bit. However, there was a grill in a common area that we could have used if our modifications hadn’t worked out. During our stay we visited two parks that were less than 15 minutes away: Ijams Nature Center and Fort Dickerson Park. Ijams had hiking/biking trails and canoe rentals. Fort Dickerson had hiking trails that overlooked a beautiful quarry that you could swim in. The views were breathtaking! Overall our stay at Low Meadow Farms was amazing and we would both go again!

We enjoyed the stay up on the pond overlook area. The only thing was that it rained a few times and we couldn’t get our vehicle down the one way and got blocked the other way because someone would always block the drive with their vehicle. The outhouse was clean but the water spigot was kind of far away. Quiet area and very peaceful.
