Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping. There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek. There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area. Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite. Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

This area is an old tobacco and cattle farm on a point above Laurel Lake. We do a bit of farming and crafting when we can and thought we’d try and share our lovely spot! Much of the timber on the place is nearly 100 years old hardwoods, with a couple of fields throughout. I camp here myself too, and can recommend it for privacy! Learn more about this land: You can park an RV or trailer on these private sites within a 10min drive or short walk to Laurel Lake! Gravel roads to a field capable of holding up to two trailers with more planned in time! Primitive sites, Quiet n private. These sites are also within 10 mi of both London and Corbin Ky, with services available at both. Scenic Cumberland Falls is a short 25 min drive, and this place is adjacent to the Daniel Boone National Forest with plenty of hiking nearby.

This was our first time using hipcamp and it went so well that we can’t wait for our next trip. Patrick met us as we arrived and showed us to our spot for the night. It was so peaceful and gorgeous. The bath house, with private showers, was clean and it had nice, hot water. We loved all the sounds and sights of nature as we relaxed. We would highly recommend this location to any of our friends and family and hope to revisit again one day!

I was going to stay two days but due to the Smokies being so busy ( forgot that it was Memorial Day Weekend ) I left early. When I return I will definitely stay here again.

This is a great RV camp with a plethora of other accommodation options. We loved our two nights there but it would be a great location for a reunion! Those with RVs could camp but there are ‘Tree House’ cabins, retro campers, glamping tents and more! The pads are all concrete and level. Everything is well maintained. The showers are AMAZING! The facilities are clean and have a nice vibe. We even got to play a game of ping pong outdoors. We didn’t try the pool but it too was very clean and would be a great addition for many. Yes, there is some road noise but we were in a teardrop with the windows screened and the vent on. We were not bothered a bit. Couldn’t recommend higher! Also, there is a trolley to Gatlinburg if that is your thing. Parking there is crazy expensive so this is an added perk at Camp LeConte Luxury Outdoor Resort among many, many perks!

Weekend Trip to Ellis Cove

We had a wonderful family camping trip here and truly enjoyed every moment. The campground was peaceful, well-maintained and perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was river tubing in the creek behind our campsite. Our kids absolutely loved it! The host was incredibly kind and flexible, graciously accommodating our request to shift our reservation by a day due to some travel logistics. That level of understanding and hospitality made the experience even better. Everything on the property was clean, organized and working exactly as expected. We would absolutely recommend this campground to anyone looking for a quiet, family-friendly escape in nature.

4 nights at Patrick's Point River Camp

This place is my new favorite campground! Both Patrick and Angelica are very hospitable and even let us set up camp closer to the river than the site we'd originally booked! The campground is well maintained, but still gives the 'untouched natural beauty' vibe we were looking for. The night skies are just GORGEOUS and I truly cannot say enough nice things about our hosts. We opted for a costa rican breakfast the morning of our departure and I've got a new favorite snack(cinnamon sugar fried plantains!) This campground is close to national parks and plenty of outdoor activities- we're going to have to come back and explore more, because 4 days was not nearly long enough!

2 nights at Ellis Cove

Very convenient to Great Smoky National Forest without having to be in a crowded campground lined up cheek by jowl. Very quiet and peaceful, located near a creek; we could hear the soothing sound of rushing water all day. The road leading into the Hipcamp was a bit twisty/turny but we made it there without any problems. It’s about a 30 minute scenic-drive to the entrance of the NP but that includes driving through Gatlinburg. Everything in the camp is new and we were very comfortable. There was only one other camper in the camp while we were there.

Weekend Trip to Ellis Cove

Ellis Cove was absolutely beautiful!! Such a serene setting nestled within the hills about 25 minutes to the east of Gatlinburg. The grounds are situated right next to a rushing river. A couple of the sites sit up on a hill and back up to the river … both are worth the extra 10 dollars/night. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in the area.

This was my first Hipcamp trip and it was a terrific experience! It was peaceful and felt safe! The hosts are friendly and Angelica is an excellent cook! This is on my list to come back to!!

The location was perfect for exploring the area of Gatlinburg and Dollywood while giving the peaceful nature feel at the end of a busy day. The creek was lovely and the property was well maintained. We will definitely be back again when we come to visit the area.

We came in last minute after a delay for maintenance on our van. They were very accommodating. They’ve created a lovely space next to the river and know more good things to come. Will definitely be our first stop on future trips south.

6 nights at Critter Camp

Kimber, the host, has created a truly exquisite and open space here. It’s quiet and vast, perfect for soaking in the greenery. Kimber herself is so down-to-earth and inspiring, especially given her background with animal rescue. Seeing Cherokee the horse and the dogs (shoutout to Daffy!) added so much character to the stay. I left feeling refreshed and inspired! The fellow campers were a lovely bunch to strike a conversation with. Absolutely recommend this HipCamp. Thank You, Kimber!
