For indoor washing, a five-gallon glass pitcher with a bowl serves as a rustic sink.
Sleeping is in the loft, up a steep staircase ladder, with a queen bed and lush linens. While not ADA-accessible and not suited for those needing special assistance, the setup is perfect for adventurous, able-bodied guests seeking a unique stay.
There are two other homes on the property, both occupied, but everyone respects each other’s privacy. No one will come to the treehouse during your stay. The owners live onsite in the main house and are available if you need anything, but will otherwise give you complete space.
The path to the treehouse is lit at night, but it can get very dark on the road—so bring a flashlight just in case.

The campsite is at corner of our property, tucked just out of sight of our house a couple hundred feet away.

We removed all of the old broken camper stuff and it is now a simple, colorful room inside, with a full size bed and some fun funky art from our collection.

Secluded luxury cottage getaway situated in the woods but close to unique experiences at Cripple Creek Retreat. Stay in the professionally designed home and enjoy the quiet and seclusion, make s'mores or cook dinner around the fire pit, or take a nap in the hammock. We are located minutes away from downtown Murfreesboro and 45 minutes away from downtown Nashville! Great local restaurants and live music/outdoor concerts at Hop Springs, or brunch at Readyville Mill or antiques nearby.
Spacious and airy 550 square feet- King bed with luxury bedding. Cook s'mores on the fire pit, and lie around in the hammock. Watch the resident deer and turkeys pass by and listen to the birds or just hear the wind rattle through the leaves overhead. If you just want to hibernate indoors, warm and cozy, and watch a movie, we have YouTube TV and a smart TV if you'd like to log into any of your streaming accounts and binge something from your watchlist. Bar area stocked with all the tools and glassware you need to whip up a cocktail or enjoy a glass of wine while you watch nature just outside. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are supplied as well as all the herbs, oils, and spices to whip up a meal on the two-burner induction cooktop or bake something in the toaster oven. Coffeemaker, dishware, pots, and pans included. Indoor pebble floor shower with rain shower head and private outdoor shower off the bathroom (open when temps are above freezing, from spring to fall). Desk area inside for those times when you need to work. Puzzle, games, playing cards, magazines, and books, if you'd rather enjoy an activity unplugged. USB plugs are on each bedside table as well as reading lights. Lounge on the couch and watch TV, or stay in bed and enjoy your favorite movie or show. Something to offer every season: when the weather is gray and gloomy, it's warm and cozy inside, and you can still enjoy the fire pit and string lights, enjoy the peace and quiet, look at the stars, and watch our resident deer. Springtime brings trees flowering and leaves appearing, and birds chirping, warmer temps that make lingering outside pleasant.

1 night at Kahu Farm
We had a great experience camping on Lora's land. She welcomed us in with her husband and showed us around the property. I paid for some of her home made bug spray which worked extremely well and is all natural. The property was private, quiet, and clean. They had a bathroom and water, an outdoor kitchen, fresh eggs, fresh goat milk, well behaved animals, beautiful award winning goats. She made us a cup of coffee in the morning, provided firewood, amazing spring water. The tent was clean and warm, she provided us with blankets and basic essentials. Beautiful outdoor shower. She allowed me to take some photos on her property. Great time.

Weekend Trip to Kahu Farm
We went for a night out. Call us crazy cause we didn't drive but about 15 minutes. We went glamping for the first time. If you haven't I do recommend it. We had a nice tent with the softest queen size bed ever built on a platform. Nice portable potty in a small tent right outside. A fire ring that they provided the wood for. A double hammock and a dinning outside table. If that wasn't enough a short walk on a path would take you to the outside kitchen with anything you could need. Also provide indoor plumbing with a huge shower. The host was amazing. Spend our morning on their front porch just talking. The kids can see chickens and goats. They have 2 doggies and the most interesting bird that talks and sings. They also offer kayaking where they drop you off and pick you up. We will definitely be going back even being so close to home. It's just the getaway on the edge of Lewis and Lawrence county that gives you the feeling of being in a mountain setting.. I wish I would had taken more pictures of the amazing farm but I did not. I will next time for sure. We booked through hip camp. Definitely recommend for a night out. Also they do have some solar power inside the tent. Last night it stormed and was cold out. But inside was dry and super warm.

We had the best time at Sacred Dog Ranch this past weekend and feel like we made lifelong friends with Lisa and Gary. Our dog, Sage, played with his fellow Dal new friends, my daughter rode Fancy the gorgeous horse and we felt like instant family. It’s right outside Nashville and remote enough we didn’t feel like we were in a cookie cutter suburb. Lisa was so welcoming and generous with her authentic self. My kids and I loved our visit and will be back.

Sacred Dog Ranch is unreal! The hosts are the kindest people ever. We got to ride horses, hang out with the sweetest dogs, and even feed a fox (!!). The whole place feels open and peaceful—outdoor shower, hot tub, fresh tomatoes from the garden—it’s just the perfect spot to reset and recharge. Already dreaming about going back.

1 night at Baker Hollow Farm in Nashville
My boyfriend and I stayed at the beautiful cabin for 1 night. We arrived late at night but they still welcomed us, showed us how to get to the cabin and how everything works there (outside shower, lights, power etc.). The cabin was very hidden from everything, very quiet, it felt like a real nature retreat. The whole property itself was also absolutely stunning, they have the sweetest animals, honestly they were so andorable and friendly, and you guys were so nice! Thank you again for everything! Btw, the dog and that one lighter brown horse are so cuddly and happy for visitors 😍 we would’ve loved to stay longer but we were on a tight time schedule.

Beautiful property and friendly hosts. My kids got to name kittens and enjoyed seeing all the livestock. We spent hours roaming around the gardens or in the woods, down to the creek. The cabin is very cool. My wife and I particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch for an afternoon rain storm. Quick drive to Lenny’s Country Kitchen for great food.

This was such a great experience and I will definitely be back next time I am in the area! Lisa was so welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. I made friends with all the dogs and even got a little cat drool in my lap. The cabin itself was a work of art, literally, and I was spoiled for a place to sleep. If youre into art, this place is a haven. My only regret is that I had to wake up and leave early to beat the rain.
