Glamping tent with queen size bed! Out door shower with hot water available. There’s also a composting toilet by the tent or just let us know if you’d like to use the toilet in the small cabin behind us. Here at Kahu Farm we offer a secluded site for your peace and enjoyment! We’ve cut trails through the property where you can walk around. Feel free to stop up at the house to visit with the friendliest Nigerian Dwarf goats and their kids or stop by the outdoor kitchen for your all natural mosquito and Tick repellent made right here that actually works. We also make artisan soaps that are available for purchase. Try a sample of them in the outdoor shower! Check in time is 3 pm and checkout by noon! If you need to come early or stay late just msg me and depending on other bookings we can see if that’s available. There’s so much to do around here or you can simply relax! We are a short drive or bicycle ride to Nachez Trace Parkway, and we have 3 kayaks that we rent out for a small fee. We will drop you off and pick you up! Please check in at the homestead so we can show you around! When leaving we simply ask that you make sure all windows and doors are fully zipped closed in case of rain and if you bring a dog we ask that it’s on a leash and never left unattened in the tent!A peaceful and private site with a queen bed, fire pit, table and chairs, and some beautiful hiking trails on our 19 acre homestead! You will be half way between our home and the road so it’s quiet! The woods offer a serene view of a small ravine. Feel free to stop by the homestead to use the out door shower and bathroom. We also have an outdoor kitchen and offer tea and coffee! We make all natural Mosquito and Tick repellent as well should you like some. Visit with our extremely friendly herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats and their adorable kids! We also have 3 kayaks we rent for a small fee. We will drop you off and pick you up if you’d like! It’s a peaceful trip down the Buffalo River. We are just a stones throw away from Nachez Trace Parkway! We do have chickens and a rooster so please understand Winston will do the cockadoodaldoo! 🐓 Enjoy some farm fresh eggs for breakfast and we have just installed solar power so you can charge your phones!

Please let me know if you are bringing pets. You must also clean up after them at all times. If damage occurs there will be a fee for the cost of repairs

We had a great time during our two nights here, Lora was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. The goats and all the critters were so lovely to hang out with! Tent felt clean and very cozy.

Excellent spot!

Kahu Farms Peaceful Retreat

Lora and Dave were amazing. Lora's crafted "bug brew" works great for fleas and ticks. The campsite was well maintained and private, located in a picturesque woodland setting. Highly recommend.

Kahu Farms Peaceful Retreat

Kahu Farm was delightful, and Lora and her husband were very thoughtful and accommodating hosts. The tent was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed spending time on the farm with our hosts along with their goats, chickens, parrot, and dogs. We were also able to borrow their kayaks and time for a drop-in and pick-up morning on the river! Lora’s all natural bug spray and soaps were an added luxury too. We definitely hope to come back and stay again soon.

Kahu Farms Peaceful Retreat

We had a great experience camping on Lora's land. She welcomed us in with her husband and showed us around the property. I paid for some of her home made bug spray which worked extremely well and is all natural. The property was private, quiet, and clean. They had a bathroom and water, an outdoor kitchen, fresh eggs, fresh goat milk, well behaved animals, beautiful award winning goats. She made us a cup of coffee in the morning, provided firewood, amazing spring water. The tent was clean and warm, she provided us with blankets and basic essentials. Beautiful outdoor shower. She allowed me to take some photos on her property. Great time.

Best close to home adventure yet

Kahu Farms Peaceful Retreat

We went for a night out. Call us crazy cause we didn't drive but about 15 minutes. We went glamping for the first time. If you haven't I do recommend it. We had a nice tent with the softest queen size bed ever built on a platform. Nice portable potty in a small tent right outside. A fire ring that they provided the wood for. A double hammock and a dinning outside table. If that wasn't enough a short walk on a path would take you to the outside kitchen with anything you could need. Also provide indoor plumbing with a huge shower. The host was amazing. Spend our morning on their front porch just talking. The kids can see chickens and goats. They have 2 doggies and the most interesting bird that talks and sings. They also offer kayaking where they drop you off and pick you up. We will definitely be going back even being so close to home. It's just the getaway on the edge of Lewis and Lawrence county that gives you the feeling of being in a mountain setting.. I wish I would had taken more pictures of the amazing farm but I did not. I will next time for sure. We booked through hip camp. Definitely recommend for a night out. Also they do have some solar power inside the tent. Last night it stormed and was cold out. But inside was dry and super warm.

The farm is very cute, and trails were cleared and made it very nice walking. The tent was amazing, very spacious and cute setup! Hosts were amazing, very welcoming and friendly!! We will definitely be booking again!!
