Connect with nature at this unforgettable escape in Nashville’s backyard. Nestled in a Tennessee hardwood forest, this treehouse sits in a quiet hollow—just 20 minutes from the city, yet a world away. It’s not a tree fort, but a tiny house in the trees, perched above a spring-fed creek. Private and peaceful, all the windows face the forest, giving you the joy of childhood adventure with the comforts of home: toilet, A/C, electric fireplace, heater, and a three-season heated outdoor shower. The treehouse is located about 50 yards down a trail from the main house. Stone steps lead up the hillside to the porch entrance. Inside, large windows bring in forest views while maintaining your privacy. The main room features two comfy chairs, a kitchenette with glasses, cups, plates, a mini fridge, microwave, and a coffee maker for cozy mornings. The “outhouse” is eco-friendly—a composting toilet located on the front deck. On the back deck, you can relax to the sound of a trickling spring, or enjoy the heated outdoor shower (available March–November; rates are discounted 20% during the off-season). For indoor washing, a five-gallon glass pitcher with a bowl serves as a rustic sink. Sleeping is in the loft, up a steep staircase ladder, with a queen bed and lush linens. While not ADA-accessible and not suited for those needing special assistance, the setup is perfect for adventurous, able-bodied guests seeking a unique stay. There are two other homes on the property, both occupied, but everyone respects each other’s privacy. No one will come to the treehouse during your stay. The owners live onsite in the main house and are available if you need anything, but will otherwise give you complete space. The path to the treehouse is lit at night, but it can get very dark on the road—so bring a flashlight just in case. Message us through the app if you need help. This treehouse is nestled in a Tennessee hardwood forest in a hollow. Close to the city (20 min), but away from it all, it's a perfect place to retreat from normal life. This isn't a tree fort. It's a tiny house with a loft in the trees over a trickling spring fed creek. It's private with all windows facing the forest. All the fun of being a kid w/ comforts of home like toilet, ac, electric fireplace, heater & 3 season hot outdoor shower. The treehouse is down a trail about fifty yards past the main house. You will climb stone steps up the side of the hill and enter the treehouse from the porch. Lots of glass means views of the forest all around, but the windows face away from the main property so it feels private inside. The main room has two comfy chairs, a kitchenette with glasses, cups, plates, etc. A mini fridge and microwave make heating things up easy and a coffee maker for those cozy mornings. The "outhouse" is on the front deck with an eco-friendly compost toilet. On the back deck you can relax by the trickle of a natural spring. If you want to shower, we have a heated outdoor shower on the back deck as well. (unavailable Dec.-Feb. but we lowered the rates then by 20%!) Washing inside is with a five gallon glass pitcher with a bowl for a sink. Slightly rustic, but exceptionally cute. You will sleep upstairs in a queen bed with lush linens and will climb a steep staircase ladder to the loft. It's not the best choice for people who need special assistance. It is certainly not ADA compatible. But for the adventurous and able bodied, it can't be beat! There are two other homes on the property that are occupied. Everyone has their own spaces and respects each other's privacy. No one will come up to the treehouse while you are there. The owners are onsite in the main house and can be reached if you need anything, but otherwise, will give you your space. Message us through the app if you need help. Traci monitors it closely. Todd is usually around to help if you need anything too. The path is lit to the treehouse at night, but if you have a flashlight, bring it. It gets pretty dark on our road.
