Once a place where Whisky was made under prohibition, the regulators came and bashed down the stills that are still standing along the stream banks. This area was a bulwark for natives that hunted and fished along the stream banks, and there's artifacts that can still can be observed along the canyon where hikers can enjoy. The campsites are perfect for secluded stays. Valerie is so friendly and brought coffee every morning and after making my way to the spring on the property and following it I found multiple waterfalls filled with small fish and crayfish. Our site was right in the middle of a very large blackberry patch giving us fresh treats at our fingertips. Destination for tranquility for sure that was a true treat.

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating! There was a spring fed creek on the property that they let us explore, we saw some turtles and wild blackberries. We would definitely stay again

Flora and Fauna indeed!
Beautiful camping experience! The land was gorgeous and the site nicely manicured. There were wild blackberries and a lot of wildlife. The drive in is beautiful but the road is rough. We had a mid-sized SUV so we didn't have any trouble. A car can traverse it but, take it slow. The hosts were very responsive to texts. The listing stated, "toilet available ", but this is truly a primitive site so come prepared with your own provisions. The hosts brought a carafe of hot coffee to the site, a very nice touch. It arrives early (6:30 am) but you can opt out if you want to sleep in. A very enjoyable trip, we recommend it!

Loving the simple life!
Great very primitive camping! We lived "roughing it" there. A beautiful scenic forest set way back in the middle of nowhere! VERY much alone at this camp, although we saw a few people, but they lived on a neighboring farm. The host was trmendous! She brought us hot coffee everyday we were there and we had some wonderful conversations together. Very helpful on the directions even if the directions took us the wrong way at first. Make sure you call before you get of off Little Marrowbone Rd!! I would definitely recommend this if you love to be alone and camp with nothing but a tent. This is you place! Again, thank you Valerie for your wonderful hospitality!
